Description of Work: they upgraded electrical service from fuses to circuit breakers and upgraded service and also replaced outside cables that were weather worn and re-wired the 220 service. Doug was professional and helpful and offered suggestions to improve the safety in the home.

Description of Work: We contacted Doug about installing bathroom exhaust fans, new thermostats and check our junction boxes, including the addition of a backup generator hookup. He was able to come within a day or two of contacting him at a time that was convenient for us. He looked at all the bathrooms and told us which ones he could install and how. He also told us what kind of thermostats we needed and how he could replace them and remove one that was no longer functioning. The biggest job was the replacement of one of our junction boxes. The original box was over 40 years old. He gave us all the options, to include putting in an outlet for the use of a generator, if we ever need one. We agreed on the work and the cost and he ordered the junction box, while we got the fans and thermostats we wanted. |He picked up the permit and over the course of two days was able to complete all the work. He was considerate of our time and cleaned up after himself. |He was very pleasant to work with and kept us informed as he waited for the junction box and permit, as well as letting us know how the job would progress when he got started. |We would bring him back for any future work. We feel his prices are fair and his work ethic is excellent.

Description of Work: Doug was very professional and was able to explain thee installation process clearly. He even recommended a quality person to lay the concrete base for my Generac 8kW self-starting generator. Doug made sure that he kept me informed on the progress and made the necessary adjustments, as per the inspector, quickly. We were not inconvenienced during the install. I would definitely recommend Doug for any residential electrical work.

Description of Work: We had trouble with our doorbell not working. When doug came he checked the wireing and transformer. Transformer was replaced and he also checked the smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. Many were old and not working properly,as he showed me. He replaced all 7alarms and charged me his price for alarms.His work was neat and thorough. I would have him come back for any other electrical work.

+ 0 moreI called Doug to get a ballpark phone estimate for installation of 4 ceiling fans in an old building. Doug was very candid with me about the extensive work involved and the approximate installation costs per fan. Because of the age of the building, there are likely gas lines in the ceiling that would need to be deactivated (if the owner hasn't already done so), cut and capped before fan boxes could be installed for the ceiling fans. I decided to rethink having the work done since I am living in a rental and do not intend to stay more than a couple of years, so I did not schedule an in-person estimate.
