sales staff at Home Depot frustrated and confused me

Awful. I contacted this company because I've always had good luck with retailers in Summit. Not this time. Every single time I was scheduled for a service visit I was called more than an hour after the scheduled time only to be told that they were running late and could not come. I would have to be understanding and be rescheduled. After I had planned my day to be at home, they wasted my time. The broken part took more than twice the amount of time to come in as I had been promised, It later turned out the part had come in, in a timely manner, but no one had bothered to call and schedule an appt. to come and do the repair. I've since learned that they are operating on a skeleton crew, with a senior repairman who is constantly unavailable (I heard everything from away at a bar mitzvah to gone to china) and only one other repairman. Apparently they had recently lost two of their technicians. It's no wonder. I'm appalled that they were not up-front with me that they were operating with so few installers/technicians and that the wait (more than a month!) would be so long for such a simple repair. When you call to speak to someone, you are put on hold every 30 seconds by the one lone person who seems to be in the office and reminds you of the fact that she is alone at every opportunity. Truly unprofessional and disappointing. I'd steer clear.
