I used their service twice. The first occasion was a bit of a long story. I just moved in and the first floor toilet is clogged. Initially I got Russo Bro. to snake the drain. In the process the toilet seat is lifted. At the end of the job the guy said the flange rotted out and need to be replaced together with the drainage pipe. My house sit on slab foundation and he quoted $3600 to drill a tunnel through my slab to change the pipe. I took a look - the flange is indeed rotten but the pipe is definitely in working condition. I sent Russo Bro. away while the toilet seat is still hanging around. My husband found Stashluk. They are quick to respond and showed up the next day. Stashluk quoted $1000+ for maybe 2 hours of work. He can't really provide a cost breakdown when I asked for it. I can't wait any more so I just go with the less "evil" of the two quotes. They put in a new flange, put it toilet seat back and apply plaster. The second occasion was toilet clog again on a sunday. We need to fix urgently before guests turn up. They are quick to respond and turned up within two hours like 8pm. It was something around $800 plus emergency charges plus whatever I can't remember. In the end we paid $1200 for 1 hour of work on some typical snaking. In short, they did their job but I would be hesitant to use them again except for once-in-a-blue-moon emergency services because I simply can't afford to pay at least $1000 for any kind of repair. On the other hand let me try hard to find an affordable and reliable plumber.

Not so good. Stahsluk came out with a seemly in experienced technician. Charged us $300 to diagnose the problem, and quoted $1000 for repairs. Called another service who didn't charge any "service fee" or hourly rate otherwise, and charged us $500 for the same job, repairing components instead of replacing our AC unit. Go somewhere else. Overpriced, under skilled.

They got back to me and scheduled quickly. But when they came out, I have no idea what they did. They said they changed the filter, but the form they left me was all pre-printed with check marks but there was no additional information given to me. No follow up in writing or in person. They just left a piece of paper on the kitchen table. I can't rate anything specifically because I never saw anyone and there was no other given information from them. I think they should have done more detailed follow up with me than what they did.

In Easter morning at 8:00 am they showed up to replace a Thermo coupling in our steam boiler. On time, fast, courteous, explained the problem, and fixed it. Had to pay a $210 fee for the holiday emergency repair, but we knew that ahead of time and accepted it.

They were very punctual and professional. They had some issues in getting my problem fixed. They came right back out when it wasn't working several times with no problems. Even the owner ended up coming out on the 3rd time and figured a temporary fix until they could get the parts to fix it correctly. I was very impressed with them.

They have lots of coverage and can do big projects. They are also reliable.

Everyone at Stashluk, from Pat in the office to the technicians that did the work, was kind, courteous and highly professional. Everything was explained in detail and all of our questions were answered satisfactorily. The technicians were on time, thorough and kept the work areas absolutely spotless. This is a company that works!

the price was double what it should have been

For the whole unit and everything else, it was about $9000. They were punctual, on time, good report and service.

Had a constantly running toilet in the second floor bathroom. Called Stashluk and arranged for someone to come out the next day between 9-11am. 10:40am rolls around and the plumber has not shown up yet. Called the office and was told he is running late and will be there in about 30 minutes. Fine no big deal, wife was working from home all say. Wife calls me 20 minutes later to inform me that the plumber was quoting $1000 to fix the problem. Parts were only $150 and labor was $300/hr. Job would take almost 2+ hours. Are you kidding me??? Plus they charge and automatic $79 just to come thru the door. No wonder they have to charge the door fee. No one in their right mind would pay those absurd hourly rates. Definitely look elsewhere.

I had them install a Generac generator, they were responsive on the phone, scheduled their work effectively (they came when they said they would), installed cleanly. (Their estimate was two thirds what a local electrician quoted.) | |They looked at my gas supply and decided it should be ok, as usually my type of equipment isn't a problem. Testing after installation showed differently, and the gas company replaced my (very) old pressure reducer (as well as my gas meter). | |After the first year maintenance included with the installation price, I received an offer for an annual maintenance contract at $490+tax, which includes annual oil+filter; an informal figure for just an oil+filter maintenance visit was about $450, which is too much for me.

I wasn't pleased with the work. They had to replace pipes under our bathtub. They messed up the work and we had to call another plumber to repair their work. Their price is also too high. The water heater replacement was fine but the price point was just too high.

I wasn't happy with the fact that they charged for a service call on top of the work they did. The water heater failed a few days after their service and I found another plumber to repair it. I have not used this company since then.

Their service was very good. They came when they said they would and the system works well. We haven't had any trouble with the system. We have been pleased. The workers were nice, professional, and friendly. I found everyone easy to work with.

Their service was fine. Whenever I've called with questions, I have had a quick and speedy response. The system is working well. Overall, I am pleased.

Their service was great. They are very responsive and quick. They are fair with their pricing and take time to answer questions, which is always helpful. We are very happy with them and have been using them for about 4 years.

Everyone has a bad day....but 4 of them? That's just unprofessional.

I had a prior bad experience with a heating contactor (already reviewed here) which did not repair my furnace issue, and then my furnace stopped working completely, on Christmas Eve - 12/24/2011! I called a few contractors and Stashluk was the only one that could send someone out that day. They had their tech call me and he basically diagnosed the furnace over the phone, even though a prior contractor said the furnace needed other items. Bob came out, within the hour, on Christmas eve, he was pleasant, knowledgable and diagnosed and repaired the furnace within 30 minutes. We had a pleasant chat the entire time, and even discussed cooking tips (we were making food for Christmas at the time.) It was a great experience. The charge for the ignitor repair was $459, and the emergency service fee was $210. I don't have much experience with furnaces, so i don't know if the repair price was out of line, but it seems reasonable. The emergency service charge, while understandable, is the only aspect I was displeased with - $210 seems a bit steep. If there was NO fee, that would be great, but even half that price, $100.00, would have been perfect. Anyway, overall excellent experience, furnace has not given me one problem since, about 1 week ago, where as it was giving me a daily issue prior to the repair. That AND the previous heating contractor claimed the furance needed a flame sensor, gas valve, relay board, etc. None of those were apparently the issue.

this is the second time I have called Stashluk and I think they are great. I called them this morning to come and find out why we had no heat and they remembered me from almost two years ago and put me on their schedule the same day. Bob came by and fixed the problem and was very friendly and professional. We are all much warmer now! I will definitely call them again with any hvac/plumbing issue. Thank you Jim, Pat and Bob!

The first technician and his helper were great. My child had thrown toys in the toilet, and they got it cleared out pretty well. I also was very pleased with the estimates he gave and decided to have two additional jobs done. The second technician did the first job for the quoted price, then said he needed parts for the second job which he was scheduled to perform. When he came back, the first thing he did was hand me back a quote for more than twice the original price on the second job. Needless to say, I was really upset, and asked why the price had increased from the previous written quote. He blamed the other technician. When I asked to have them call me about the different quote prices, they never called back. I would not recommend them, even though the price for the drain clearing was reasonable and the first technician was good.
