Grade: C+ THEIR TILEWORK WAS SHODDY AND SLOPPY BUT CARPENTRY WORK FOR LAYING DOWN ENGINEERED INTERLOCKING FLOATING FLOORS WAS DECENT. Skyline Corp and the owner Vinnie did an overall disappointing job. They were skilled at laying down engineered wood in my family room, dining room, den and hallways though some of the cuts on the moldings and door bottoms were uneven. However when it came to my installing porcelain kitchen tiles, they were inept and inaccurate, particularly the grouting. The grouting is discolored and uneven. They did not even seal the grout. Some of the tiles are not flush either. I have pictures of the whole job but cannot upload to the review. Unprofessional: Vinnie promised he would come back and rectify the grouting but has not returned to my house nor has not picked up the phone in several months. Is he still in business? Furthermore when he is on the job, he is on his cell phone most of the time hustling to get more work. While his crew members were friendly and diligent, they did not speak English. So when Vinnie was on his cell phone outside, I could not ask his co-workers anything. If you want an inexpensive and quick job for floating engineered floors and are not expecting perfection, Skyline is decent. But if you are expecting meticulous craftsmanship and need tile flooring, DO NOT USE THEM. Guests who have seen my kitchen laugh when they see the grouting work. The bottom line: If you have expensive flooring, go with someone else.

We bought a new house and wanted to refinish the floors for 3+ rooms. Vinnie came for a free quote and did a great job in scoping the work out. Once we agreed on the start date, which was at a very short notice, Vinnie came out with his team of very professional folks and completed the work in 2 1/2 days. The floors have turned out to be excellent and as we envisioned. Vinnie has a great set of guys who work with him, they are highly professional, efficient and make sure they treat your home as you would treat it. I am planning to get Vinnie back when I decide to start work on the 2nd floor. Definitely recommended for anyone who want some floors to be done.

Excellent! They were terrific. The owner was there everyday working with everyone else. He is a very nice, competent, and skilled owner. They are just wonderful!

I called him to give me a price to refinish our dining room floor and he came. When he realized that was the only room we wanted done, he was not interested in the work. I later called him to tell him we wanted to get some additional work done as well and he never returned my call.

Job took three days to complete. Very professional. Kept appointments, was punctual. Worked efficiently with minimum disruption to the household. Floors had lot of damage, imperfections. Kept working on them to sand out as much as possible. Suggested we pick a stain a bit darker than we had planned because of condition of our floors. listen to my concerns and kept me informed as he proceeded. I felt his price was reasonable and would hire again.

Vinnie came out to my home and gave me a quick estimate. We hired them to sand and stain our second floor. We liked the job so much that we asked him to sand, stain and refinish the rest of the house. We also had him install hardwood in three of our rooms. He seems to take pride in his work which shows in the finished product. His crew was very professional, cleaned up well and were on time. Vinnie returned all my calls promptly. I highly recommend these guys. Probably having them come back to do tile as well.

I contacted Vinny via email. He was very nice. We set an appointment and he was punctual and put me at ease. I liked him and decided to go with him. He sent me an invoice which didn't reflect the Angie's List discount. When I asked him to change it he did. We agreed to a start day the following Friday. I had a problem with my closing date potentially changing so I let him know on Sunday that I might have to change the start date but would know for sure by Tuesday. He and I exchanged several emails. He said he could do the job next Tuesday and it would be fine for cleaners to come in on Thursday. That didn't make sense to me -he originally said floors take 3 days. That would be 2 days. We continued to exchange emails and I asked if he could do the job Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday and he never answered the question. He basically ignored my question which I asked three different times. On Tuesday let him know the date hadn't changed but he had already booked someone else for Friday. I was pretty upset. I had been very communicative with him and he was completely non-responsive. He said he could do it Tuesday and it would be fine. I asked when he would be able to do sample stains for my approval, again, no response. I then asked for a written guarantee. No response. At that point I gave up. I felt unsure about the 2 day floor job. I didn't like that he didn't respond to emails. And then no guarantee. This just didn't bode well. I cancelled the job.

Vinnie and his team were very professional and accommodating. They explained the process very well at the beginning specifically the differences and benefits between water and oil based. They were very punctual and really minimized the dust from the sanding process. Overall, a very professional crew. Highly recommended.

I cleared the room of furniture the night before, but Skyline would have done that if I'd wanted them to. They did prep work, such as moving wires that were in the way. I wasn't home, but my son said they arrived on time. I came home after work as they were applying the last coat, and the floor looked great. It was so clean after years of dirt building up. I was happy with their work; they were very professional.

We had about 1700 sqft of hardwood floor which needed to be refinished in the house we had just bought. Vinnie's price was very competitive since he does the work himself along with a couple of other guys instead of subcontracting. He knew his stuff, was punctual and was totally dedicated to doing a thorough and excellent job. We are very happy with his work, love the look of the floor and he used heavy duty finish since we have a dog in the house. I will definitely recommend him.

I had a very good experience with them. They went right to work. They were very professional. They did a very good job. They were very efficient. They knew what they were doing. They were on time and got the job done.

Understood it was a Angie's List $99.00 Big Deal and I checked the fine print. They can only do 100 sq. ft, anything over that will be extra. The guys from Skyline came early and set up their equipment quickly. They explained how much of the floor they would be doing and I agreed to give them a little extra for a little more flooring. The floor had some problems and Vinnie (the main guy I was dealing with) told me that the floor was previously done improperly. They stripped the floor and put down new coats. They even went the extra mile and tried to get a close match with the stain of my existing floor. I would use them again and hey did quote me prices for future work in areas of my home.

Skyline employees were pleasant to work with. The quality of the work was important to them. They were here when they said they would. The floors look great. I would definitely recommend Skyline for floor refinishing.

I never heard from this service provider. I called and attempted to leave a message on two occasions and his voice mail was full each time.

I thought Vinny did a great job. He did exactly what I needed him to do. He did the work efficiently and at high quality. I wish I could have had him do more. Also enjoyed working with the guy. Thought he handled the work very professionally. Would recommend him to others for sure.

i signed up for a coupon special and put my credit card /purchased the service? I put in the comments that I needed to have the job performed for a small window of dates. I found it confusing going through angies list to discuss with the firm what I needed. by the time I got a reply it was a couple of days past but I managed to get an OK and a contact to call. now that I called I found out that he can not provide the service for this time. i wish that he had not delayed me and I am not sure why I had to give my credit card at that time. I am hoping it is not charged for this service since nothing will be performed. I felt that when he heard it was not worth it he said he was busy for all of the days I was requesting.this was just my impression, not based on any fact.

Floors: The refinishing was not done to my expectation. The quality was so bad that the owner came by to fix it. If he hadn't fixed it, we would have had bedroom floors that felt like a concrete pavement. After he re-did it, it was significantly better but still rougher than the floors in all of other rooms. I would give them a B/C rating on floors alone. The main reason I gave them a low overall rating is because of how sloppy they were and all the other damage they did to my home. These are some examples: - They ripped out a circuit box from my walls. I have no idea why. When we tried to put it back, the screw holes had been made bigger and we could not put in back in exactly the same position as before which means we have to look at a sliver of unpainted wall now. - They splashed varnish in so many spots on the wall. I am sure accidentally but it speaks to how sloppy the work is. I can see varnish on the walls up to 2 feet off the ground! - Part of their work involved some caulking. They were so messy. They didn't wipe the excess caulk properly and I now have caulk literally all over my baseboard and walls. - In ripping up the floorboards, they gouged out several chunks of my wall. Last I counted it was more than 15 gouges in one of the rooms. This is in addition to about 50-70 spots in that same room where there are stains and scratch marks (but no gouging). I tried wiping the stains with different cleaners but only about 10% of the stains could be wiped away. I have spent hours spackling, sanding, and touching up the paint work since they left. - They did not clean up after themselves and left an adjacent bathroom completely covered in sawdust.

The contractor was completely unresponsive. After my making several calls to him he finally scheduled the job and never showed. I tried calling to followup and got voice mail on five occasions. He should not be on Angie's List!!!!!

Company person with very poor communication skills and difficult to talk to.

The area I was looking to have done was 101 square feet. It does say on the deal that additional footage would incur an additional fee. When the man (assuming he was the owner) came to the house he was a bit rude. He measured my floor and said it was 110 square foot. I thought maybe I had measured wrong. I had asked what the additional charge would be and he said $30 (so $3 a square foot). I thought this was an unreasonable cost being that I'm paying $99 for 100 square feet. He went on to tell me that if I was to have this room priced out it would cost me over $500 (which is a lie since I have had the room priced out before). I asked him if he had the price breakdown. He told me it was in his car and made zero attempt to get it. He was completely uninterested in doing the job and was rude. Anyways, I told him I would not pay $30 extra. He left (p***** off) and after I had my husband remeasure the floor again and he came to the same square footage as I did (101). I texted this man back and told him I thought he measured incorrectly and if he wanted to come back to measure again and price it out correctly. He did not respond to my text.

They arrived on time and assisted me in removing some heavier furniture from the room. They sanded the floors and used a dust collector device that significantly reduced the dust in the house. They applied three coats to the floors and wrapped it up on the second day. They returned, as promised, on the thrid day to assist me in returning the heavier furniture to the room. They added saddles on the doors which dramatically added flair to the rooms. They left the house in prestine condition. I was extremely pleased with their service and would not hesitate to call them again in the future.

Loved Vinnie and his partner. They were respectful of my property and were careful with my furniture. When Vinnie was stuck in traffic he would call or text me to let me know he would be a little late. He was great with my two big dogs getting in the way too. The floors look beautiful. Already referred two friends to him.
