BDP Plumbing & Heating

Our toilet tank was not refilling properly--it wouldn't start refilling for about a minute after flushing. BDP first attempted a low-cost solution, replacing a corroded part and having us clean the rust from inside the tank, which worked for a while, but the problem came back. That meant we had too much sediment in the water, so BDP installed a whole house filter for our well system. This took care of the problem. BDP showed up on time, was easy to schedule and talk to, explained things clearly, and did their work competently.

He was able to locate and thaw the frozen pipe in 1 hour. Luckily the pipe hadn't been damaged by the ice.

The installer was prompt ad friendly. The work was completed on time and for the quoted cost. I felt like the cost was a little high, but I just moved up from Texas and the cost for services seem to be inflated.

When the town informed us that we were using more water than normal, we realized the toilet was leaking. Plumber Greg replaced the valve and the toilet tank equipment. He informed us that the pressure of city water coming into the house was 100 pounds when the normal rate is 70 pounds and he recommended installing a pressure regulator to reduce the pressure and prevent future plumbing problems. They returned promptly when we called to say the toilet occasionally would stick and continue running. The problem was solved.

He comes in and does his thing and the day after he leaves the heat stops working and this was back when it started to get really cold in New Jersey. I kept saying to my husband that my sister and boyfriend were coming to visit from North Carolina and we could not have heat issues because there would be a lot of miserable people in the house and that's not fair. I called them back and told them that they were just here earlier with this heater and now we have a problem and it wasn't blowing hot air. The tech cleaned it and I thought he did a great job doing that, but I witnessed that there was a shortage basically in the main control box of the furnace where if the temperature drops to the degree that you start it at the blowers should turn on to start reheating the house. I saw it go off and this furnace has got to be as old as the house which was built in '98. He returned and after he did whatever he did it came back on. It's coming into winter and I work from my house, so if there's no heat I'm pretty miserable while everybody else gets to go to an office. He told me that I probably needed to switch out a particular part and my husband told me not to pay for anything no matter what he says. I'm like we got to get it fixed and it was $300 to $400, so it was not cheap. I'm freaking out and decided to do the work, but after he jiggled whatever literally 24 hours prior we have not had a problem since and I just find that very strange. When I explained what happened to another contractor he said that he never heard of that before, so I called and canceled the work order. I wasn't rude and just told them that we were just going to go a different direction because it was working now and we were going to monitor it for a while. The owner called me twice and said that their tech felt really bad, but I told him that he has to see it from our perspective because it's magically working again and we didn't pay him any money to replace the part. That was literally a month and a half ago and it has been working completely fine. That's not to say we wouldn't have problems with our furnace because they don't last forever and you essentially would have to replace them. I think that the owner was very nice, but we can't go with a company that we just can't trust. I would give you my business as long as you're honest with me. I don't think he was totally trying to take me for a free ride, but it's just too strange that things worked out the way that they did. He was on time and he was courteous, but just having that happen we can't use this provider again and I can't faithfully recommend them either.

A representative came to the house, in fact he advised me how good Angie's List was, which is why I joined! He measured up for the installation of a full house gas generator. I have never heard back from them. Maybe they were not interested - maybe they could have told me that ..... who knows?

Was having an emergency with one of the septic lines in the mobile home park. They responded quickly and professionally. While they weren't able to solve my problem (it was bigger than I thought and beyond their scope of work), the technician was able to point me in a direction to get the problem solved. I would definitely use BDP Plumbing again and recommend them.

They had to make 3 different trips because it was a new bathroom and they wanted the general contractor to take the tile down to have the work done. They are very friendly, come when they say they will, and actually suggested the Contractor that I used for my bathroom. I just found them great to work with.

We have tried many, many plumbing companies over the past 20 years and have never been happy with any of them to keep using them on a regular basis. However, I think we have found the perfect company in BDP. They are professional and do what they say they will do at a very reasonable cost. We received two estimates for this job and the other company wanted to charge us almost 50% more. They are usually able to schedule you within a day or two of your call (non-emergency situations) and they arrive on time! When they were running late the day they came to give us the estimate, they called. Thorne is a pleasure to work with and is pleasant, respectful of your property and very efficient. He also doesn't nickel and dime you and made a few minor repairs and adustments in another bathroom free of charge. We will be using BDP for all our plumbing needs in the future!

See story above. It went perfect start to finish. Dominick tried in to get a replacement part for the sewer line, but it had no number on it and several plumbing supply stores said not only did they not have it, it was obsolete, thus involving the work described above

He knew what he was doing and apparently did it well. Although the office did call, the appointment time was missed by hours due to backed up work and cost me an afternoon vs. an hour or two. All else, great.

Arranging the appointment was easy by phone. The technician spent between 60-90 minutes and was working pretty hard cleaning and adjusting the oil furnace. He cleaned up and was out the door with no problems. Informed me of a service plan they offer but not a hard sell so that was fine. Very smooth service call.

when I called for repair the receptionist offered me a time that day since we had no heat. I thought that very nice since we did not have a contract with the company. The service tech was friendly, and effecient. After finding the problem and informing us of the cost he gave the furnace a once over. I asked about a service contract and he was able to write one up for me at that time. He also looked over our whole house humidifier and gently told me what I already knew, which was it wasn't worth fixing. Talking with the tech I found out it was the same company I had used for a plumbing problem. From what I gather some of the employees purchased the company. It was Diamond Plumbing now it's called BDP. No matter their name, I had a very positive experience with their service.

The service was performed on time and on budget, and the person who did the work was very nice and capable. However, he was going to follow-up with some additional pricing for a replacement of our kitchen sink and he never did. That means I probably won't work with them again although my experience was good with the work they did. Follow-up is important.

Great service from beginning to end. BDP was very thorough and professional. They were very pleasant and informative. We would definitely recommend their services.

Rarely are my experiences with service contractors as good as I had with BDP. The technician was professional and courteous he asked all the right questions and I got all the right answers. He was thorough and cleaned up after. He took care of the leaks and water hammering and cleaned the steam system. Dominick gave me a lot of good advice and instruction on my heating system. I was very impressed with BDP I bought a service contract with them.

I thought they were okay for solving the problem. But the estimate was extremely high for the job.

I have used BDP Plumbing & Heating for at least 10 years. They repaired the pipe very nicely. I found the owner from a neighbor and I have been using him ever since. Their prices have always been a little high.

The leak was just enough to create a mess and required lots of sponges and pails to empty. Plumber showed up in less than 24 hrs and replaced an old valve with a new shutoff valve, installed new connecting copper pipe, checked and tested and cleaned up nicely all in about an hour. Works fine. The service was friendly, professional and quick for a reasonable price.

I was very pleased! I called and got same day service to replace my water heater with a good quality unit. The customer rep was courteous and updated me later in the day on service time status. They came on time and did a very good job! The plumber was courteous as well, and left his working area clean. My Angie's list discount was honored. No problems at all. I would not hesitate to use BDP again.

Very pleasant person answered the phone and scheduled appointment. My issue was not an emergency but they were able to come soon. The plumber showed up right on time. My doorbell didn't work..rather than leave he called me from outside so I didn't miss them! He work shoe protectors (YEAH) so no dirt was tracked into the house. He was neat and clean, friendly and professional. He looked at everything, explained everything to me, showed me all of the broken parts...made the repairs quickly and everything is working well.\We will be calling them back for a bigger job in the very near future. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEMPS I also used my first time customer coupon from Angie's list!!!
