BDP Plumbing & Heating

Appointment was scheduled easily. Technician called to let me know he would be a little late due to an emergency. He arrived and performed the cleaning and provided an update as to the condition of my furnace. Accepted a coupon with no problem. Would definitely use again for the same service.

Job was done in a timely manner. Job could have been done neater but the end result seems to be satisfactory.

We have a house that has natural gas already in it, but an electric range in the kitchen. I obtained 3 quotes; 2 of them were over $1000 and BDP came in under $500. I couldn't understand form the first 2 quotes why it would be so expensive since gas service was already in the house. The explanation was that a new gas line had to be run the length of the house to hook up the gas range. I called BDP and their technician Matt came over and explained how he could tie in to an existing gas line close to the kitchen which would be 5 feet away versus doing a full run of 75 feet. Made more sense to me and already knew this would be in the area of $500 anyway. Matt gave a written estimate on the spot before he left and assured me there would be no overages when the work was done -- good! When scheduling the appointment, I asked for Matt and actually called me he would be in the area earlier and if it would be alright to come over. I had the day off from work and said sure. The work was done; price was right, very professional and cleaned up after. Definitely would recommend.

When I originally spoke to them, I was told it would be $129 to look into the problem, but that money would be applied towards any work if we decided to use them. The tech said he didn't think my pipes were leaking but he would check. He found a slow drain in my bathroom, so he went ahead and snaked the line. I didn't really think that the drain needed that, and he should have let me know what the charge was going to be instead of just doing the work. I could have poured some Drano down it, but instead was charged $224 before my coupon. He was very nice, personable and professional. But I think that before they do a drain cleaning, that wasn't actually necessary, he should have covered it with me. So in the end, I spent $190, and the leak is still not fixed and I have to contact a tiler. I would not use this company in the future.

I came home around 4:00 in the afternoon to find water in my basement from a leaking hot water heater. I called BDP and got an immediate response and quote. They were at my house a little over an hour later with the new hot water heater. In about an hour he had the old one drained and removed and the the new one in place and filling.

This was actually about the fourth thing BDP had done for us. There were many non-standard and poorly installed elements to our plumbing. BDP was very clear in explaining how they would address each issue. Issues included sagging pvc drains, incorrect venting for sinks, poorly maintained piping, incorrect gas piping, clogged exterior drains. All of this work was done for a reasonable cost, done very promptly and supervised by Dom. When there was a miscommunication about scheduling completion of one repair, I called the office. At first they said they would not be able to get to us for a few days. However, Dom actually came that day even though it meant working into the evening. He made it right and really showed his commitment to customer satisfaction. We have no reservations about having BDP do our future plumbing work. They use quality materials and do not take short cuts.

Greg was on time, pleasant, neat, efficient and fast. He knew exactly what the problem was, replaced the part, set it appropriately - explained things to my husband, took payment & was on his way. What more could you ask for ? Also the lady who answers the phone "Margaret" was very helpful. We were so pleased we have already booked them to do additional work next week !!

The man who came to my house was courteous, on time (actually, early) and explained what he was doing throughout the process. We don't have vents in the basement bathroom, which apparently makes flushing really difficult, so we're actually having them come back next week to install vents.

I placed a call in the morning. The woman I spoke with was very efficient and said that someone would be here between 2:00 and 3.00. The gentleman came about 1:30. He introduced himself and went right to work. It took a little longer than I expected because I thought it was something minor. But actually I had 2 clogs in the drain. One upstairs and one down in the basement. He cleared them both. I thought it was going to be more expensive than it was. So I was very pleased with the overall job the price and the technician who I felt did a very good job. I would gladly refer BDP to anyone who needs their services, and would call them again if needed.

I found them through angie's list, very reponsive, made the appointment on the initial call. Matt the plumber came out, right on time, was pleasant, seemed to know what he was doing. Rebuilt the inside of the toilet. everything works now. I will definitely hire them again.

Very pleased with the work. After noticing a leak in a pipe on a Sunday, I called BDP and they were able to send someone over right away to address the issue. The technician (Thorne) did an excellent job, was very pleasant and explained everything to me in laymen's terms so that I could understand exactly what the problem was and what needed to be done to fix it. I will be calling BDP should I need any future plumbing work or repairs.

It went great. Very thorough inspection. Had to ask for a more detailed report, but it was quickly provided.

I had to have them come over and take a look at it. Initially they weren't able to replace the valve, because of all the calcium build up behind the shower wall. So they had to make another appointment and they came back out a week later. At that time they were able to correct the issue, however after they left, I guess the pipes were not welled back together correctly, so there was a leak that came out onto the hallway floor. I called back. It was on a Friday that the job was completed. I called back on a Saturday. They did contact me right away on Monday and someone was sent out that very afternoon. They called me and apologized. They did take care of it, and I was happy about it. Things happen, so I was generally satisfied. Their service in general was good. They took care of the issue, so that's what was important to me. They made a mistake and they came back and fixed it. It was expensive. It was actually something simple, they just had to replace a faucet that wasn't working anymore, but because they had to go into the wall and move the pipes it became very expensive.

These guys are awesome. I am a VERY picky engineer by trade, and had a lot of questions an detailed requests- Dominic answered them all and came out a few times to review the job and the plan. I was very involved in all the planning and all the equipment. Dominic didn't need me to do that, but was fine with it. When they got here, I noticed the water heater wasn't what we ordered.. The supply house messed up the order, so Dominic actually got me a MUCH BETTER heater for the same price. The guys cleaned up at the end of the day, and thier work is really, really nice. In the middle of the job Dominic and I started talking about added a shower drain to the location where my old water heater was located (it was in a half bath).. Bam.. now I am ready for a third full bath. Great idea (of course he did charge me a bit more, and rightfully so). Dominic and his assistant Thorn are SUPER thorough, and thier work is VERY meticulous. Everything works great, and when I look at the work, the small details are really impressive. My father in-law, who is a contractor, also rated the work as an A+. I also want to note that a few plumbers I got quotes from where outright scared of what I wanted to do, and how I wanted to do it- Not Dominic. He's a hard worker, and he's up on all the latest technology. Additionally, my neighbor uses him, and they love him. The guys are clean, professional, curtious, and friendly. A few points about BDP- They showed up on the planned days; no issues I'd give them 30 minutes leeway in the morning. If they say 9am, it might be 930. Not really an issue because they will also stay late at the end of the day. These guys don't do rush work. If you have a big job, and you want someone to rush the work, I wouldn't go here. Personally, I think if you want a rush job, you're crazy, and since I had a fixed price job, the longer Dominic spent making something perfect (which he did) the happier I am.. From my experience, they take pride in their work, and that cannot be rushed. BDP is not the cheapest plumber on the block. HOWEVER, you get the most for your money- and I compared at least 10 plumbers.. My advice is for big jobs to ask them to add at least an extra half of full day. The whole house PRV they installed failed after a few days (not really their fault)- but they came out the same day to fix it. If you are doing a big job, please tell Margaret you want a reference- they know who I am and I am happy to give it. As far as the other reviews here, not sure what they are talking about, I had no issues with scheduling at all, and as I said Dominic made multiple trips before he even started the job..

I made an appointment for an estimate for plumbing needs for today, 5/24. Someone was supposed to arrive between 10:30 - 11:30 AM. When I made the appointment I was asked to contact them if I could not keep the appointment. When no one showed, I called BDP at 1:30 PM to follow up. I was told the tech had an emergency and would not be coming. Margaret said she tried to call me earlier which was untrue. My called ID logs all incoming and outgoing calls. I have been calling plumbers for two weeks straight. This is the most frustrating experience as; either they don't have the courtesy to return your call or make they make an appointment, don't keep it and cannot afford you the courtesy of a phone call. I will not be using BDP but it doesn't seem like they care anyway.

The vender never returned my call

Called a week in advance, and their answering service made the appointment. I understand that for non-emergency calls, a few days wait was probably okay. On the morning of the estimate appointment (TUE at 0830-0900), i called around 0900 to check on the driver's status. The lady said that they had cancelled due to an emergency. I asked which number they left the message on, and they quoted my cell number. Only problem is, i hadn't received any calls on it. I'm sure emergencies happen, but since i had to take time off work for this estimate, i would have appreciated a call. This review is for the estimate process only. No services rendered, they seem to get good reviews otherwise.

Very well, technician did a walk through and labeled where the shut- off valves were with bright orange tags. Wore those boot covers to make sure no mud was tracked inside! Performed a complete review of the leak to determine where the originating point was and then changed out the a-ring on the toilet. Changed the tub spout which was driving me crazy due to the howling sounds - the cost for the spout was a bit pricey, especially for the standard no frills spout (65.00$) Either way great service, and would use again.

An excellent experience from start to finish. The appointment was easily scheduled, the plumber arrived on time (actually a bit earlier than expected), was very professional (even wore coverings on his shoes). He provided a cost before beginning the work, and then worked quickly and cleanly. Took away all old parts. We felt that the cost was reasonable, especially after the $30 Angie's List coupon was applied! Two days later, we received a thank you card from them! This company demonstrates a total commitment to customer service. (We called them for this project when a plumber we had previously been dealing with did not return two phone calls about this job. Needless to say, that other company lost our business for good and we will be sharing both experiences with our local friends and neighbors.) One bit of constructive advice for BDP -- when we scheduled the appointment, we were told that they charge a $125 diagnostic fee if the customer does not choose to have the work done after their plumber provides a cost estimate. We have no problem with that fee, but we're not sure we would have found out about it if we didn't ask. Possibly just an oversight on the scheduler's part - we're willing to give the benefit of the doubt in light of the excellent service they provided overall.

The response to our request was amazing. Someone called me that very day and set up an appointment. Greg showed up the next day promptly and got right to work. He was very polite and explained everything in great detail. He got right to work and fixed all the issues we were having. It was truly the best experience we've ever had with service professionals! I would definitely use them in the future as well as reccomend!

It went very well. I used this company in the past for a bathroom related plumbing issue. This time it was the kitchen. I was using a different plumber and was not happy. I called these guys again and they were great. Reliable. Fair priced and responsive

This morning my toilet tank would not fill and just kept running. I checked Angie?s list for a local plumber and found BDP. I called about 9:00 and an appointment was set up for 3, that afternoon, at a time that worked best for me. The technician, who was the owner, was on time, and could not have been more professional. He was able to repair the problem, gave recommendations for additional plumbing issues I have, and I will definitely be using them again. This was a very good experience.

On an early Thursday morning I was in the basement exercising when I heard what sounded like water running very loudly but couldn't figure where it was coming from or why. I looked into another section of the basement and noticed water gushing from the ceiling underneath our upstairs bathroom, where my husband was taking a shower. Once he turned the shower off the water gushing stopped. We determined that there was a hole in the drain pipe. At that time, we'd been in our house for about 7 years but had never had the need for a plumber so we were at a loss as to what to do. Fortunately I had recently joined Angie's List so that's exactly where I went. We located BDP Diamond Plumbing so I contacted them about 8am that morning and explained the problem. The dispatcher indicated she could probably have someone at my house the next day about 2pm. At that point I was willing to take anything I could get so I told her that was fine (we didn't feel it was a true emergency and didn't want to pay 'emergency pricing' - as long as the shower was off, there was no leak). About 10 minutes after scheduling the appointment I got a call from Dispatch indicating they just had a cancellation and did I want an 8:00 am appointment the next day. I jumped at the appointment and told her we would take it. The plumber showed up on time the next day and got right to work. He determined that he needed to replace a few of the components and provided us with the option of either brass or PVC. The brass was more expensive but he didn't try to 'push' that. He said he felt the PVC was less expensive and would hold up just as well as the brass but it was up to us what we wanted so we chose the PVC. I appreciate him being honest with us and not pushing the more expensive component. Unfortunately, he didn't have the right size PVC components in his truck so he had to go back to the shop. He returned rather quickly and finished the job. When he was done, he also looked at our hot water heater and put tags on the emergency shut off valves of the other (plumbing-related) equipment in our home. I appreciated that since I have no clue as to where the shut off valves are located and if my husband's not home at least if there's a problem whether I call BDP Plumbing or another vendor, I'll at least know what/where the emergency shut off valve is. At this point, however, I do think we would probably call BDP Plumbing as they were very responsive to us, were on time, did a great job and we have had no complaints. So I guess after 7 years, we now DO have a plumber we can call our 'own'. :) (Please note: I rated B for price only because I really don't know whether or not this price is in line with industry standards so I don't want to call it excellent. If I had other vendors' prices to compare it to, my grade for Price might be different).
