BDP Plumbing & Heating

Andy from BDP called back almost instantly on a holiday weekend, gave me all the details (charge for emergency/holiday, how long before he would arrive,etcetera). When Andy showed up (sooner than the 30 minutes he estimated), he was pleasant, professional, and efficient. I would definitely recommend BDP and Andy.

They were professional. They were good to work with as I had them in the past. They were prompt, courteous, they explained everything ahead of time and they gave me an estimate and they stuck to it. They gave me some options and alternatives and in the past they have been very good. They were very competitive on price.

The same gentleman who provided the estimate on the work a week prior showed up and performed the work. Work was neat and is functioning well. I did not get multiple estimates because the downstairs central air unit could not be used until the drainage could be redirected (the floor drain in the foundation would no longer drain: this was not connected to a dry wall or septic, and the alternative would be to have a dry well dug. Lots more money.

When we moved into our home the steam heat often failed, or when working, clanked at all hours at deafening levels. Either cold or sleepless, this was torture. We called three different plumbers to fix this, and they all failed. One cold evening the heat failed, and after several calls to various plumbers, I found BDP through Angie's List. Only Dom from BDP was willing to come after 5pm. He had to drive 40 minutes to get to us and he's the only one who fixed our system! However, it was clear that our steam heating was ancient, inefficient and had fundamental problems. We decided to replace it with hydronic base boards. We called BDP and there price was reasonable. Dom and Thor came in and worked quite efficiently. When the steam radiators were removed, they had another company come and dispose of them, right on schedule. The hydronic base boards were installed perfectly. Their craft was impeccable. Afterwards, their clean up was thorough. BDP was punctual and completed the job exactly as they had proposed. We had an excellent experience with these outstanding professionals. The new boiler and the IQ system brought our expenses down and has provided comfortable heat throughout our home. When the inspector came, he actually admired our boiler as if gazing at a work of art! He approved our permit immediately. We are grateful to BDP for their superb work and highly recommend them.

Great, got super water pressure and hot water after he was done. Woulda def use again.

Andy, the technician, arrived at the scheduled time. He was polite and professional. To his credit, he pointed out an issue with my chimney which will inevitably save me a future service call once addressed. I found his work to be thorough and he left the boiler area just as clean as he found it. Also worth noting is that this was a scheduled Saturday maintenance call, not all companies do Saturday's. Angie's List coupon was accepted with no problem.

It all went smoothly and the tech was timely and efficient.

Both times the technician was negative on how much work was involved. One of the projects we wanted done was to move the laundry room upstairs. Technician gave a high estimate and stated that once the plumbing was done we would need to get a contractor to put back up walls and structures that would need to taken down making entire project not cost effective. We called another plumber and he came out did the work for 1/4 of the price. We felt that BDP technician would only take easy jobs and gave a high price because they really did not want to do the job.

He was done in 12min and he was great.I explain the details to him and he was on it in no time.Excellent work done.....Gave him a great tip and it was well worth it...Very friendly...He looked just like Steve Wilkos lol

I had called them for an emergency service. I thought that they do emergency service and that was a good thing.

I called and he was available that day. He showed up when he said he would, did the job, I paid, he left. All is well.

Job went fast but the cost seemed excessive for the amount of work done.

PLUMBER ARRIVED 5 MINUTES EARLY & DID AN EXCELLENT JOB.- POLITE, NEAT, NO MESS LEFT BEHIND- A PROFESSIONAL JOB.IT WAS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN HOME DEPOT BUT I COULDN'T FIND HOME DEPOT'S INSTALLER ON INTERNET & IT HAD TAKEN SOME ARM TWISTING TO GET THAT CO'S NAME. I LIKED THE FACT THAT'BDP' PLUMBING REVIEW'S ON ANGIE'S LIST WERE NOT 100% POSITIVE BUT BDP PLUMBING DID GIVE REASONABLE EXPLANATIONS IN THOSE INSTANCES. I'M A SELF EMPLOYED ACCOUNTANT & KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO RUN INTO SOME PEOPLE THAT ARE JUST NOT GOING TO BE HAPPY NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY. IT WAS WELL WORTH IT TO ME TO HAVE A 'BDP'LICENSED PLUMBER DO THE WORK.

I've been a member of Angie's List but have never used a provider for one reason or another...usually financially as something else would take precedent. Wed nite my shower head snapped off & I searched plumbing on Angie's List immediately. I picked BDP with an 'A' ranking, Called Thursday morning & I was so surprised when Margaret told me she could have someone at my house between 2:30-3:30 as Memorial Day weekend was basically here. Greg & Andy were there at 2:45. I picked up a showerhead on the way home from work and Andy installed it in less than 2 minutes. So I asked Greg & Andy if they wouldn't mind looking at a leak I had outside. They reviewed it, explained what would have to be done and gave me an estimate. I also had a problem with an old drain in my bathroom sink that NO plumber in the past 13 years had fixed. Andy fixed it, AND cleaned under my sink as the rust from the drain pull constantly rubbed off when it was used. Through this 45 minute appointment Greg, Andy & I had quite a few laughs. The most shocking part was when I was paying I found out that it was Andy's 1st week with BDP and Greg was showing him the ropes. Andy, I thought you worked for BDP forever and Greg, kudos to you for standing back and letting Andy show his talent and personality. I just hope you guys are ok as I've been in bed since Thursday nite with the FLU!!!

Thorne assessed the problem and completed the job in less than two hours. Removed the faulty valve and replaced it with a modern new valve. Considering the problem he did an amazing job with no mess. I have had work done at my home over the 25 years we have lived here but never had a more competent and knowledgeable plumber in my home. Will only use any them again. He was the best.

I've used them on more than one occasion. They gave a prompt response. They were neat, clean, very organized and polite. This poor guy had to run in and out to his service van like 30 times and everytime he came in the house, he put these booties on his shoes to not make any mark on my carpet. He was very, very professional. He was very responsive. He is absolutely an A. I haven't really used a lot of plumbers so I really don't know how the price compares to other plumbers but I don't think that their price was unreasonable. I think the price was fair. I had used them once before and they responded in an emergency basis but I was so impressed with them that I had them back the second time. Their quality was excellent. I'll absolutely use them again.

Overall the service went well. I had to have the tile that is on the wall removed in the area of the pipe, then he came back and replaced the pipe. If I didn't have the tile on the wall, the pipe would have been replaced on the first day.

The provider was prompt and professional gave us fair and sound advise and fix the problem quickly and neatly. I recommend highly!!!

My LG fridge needed the door of the freezer re-sealed and the water line replaced

Installed valve backwards, then blamed the pipes for being backwards even though the hot and cold weren't previously reversed. Charged for water quality analysis, then never provided the service or a refund.

After replacing the heating coil, he said to call if I felt the water pressure was still too light. They'd come back out to investigate further??? At that point in the conversation, after his lack of interest in fixing my bathroom sink, I paid for the heating coil and knew I wouldn't call them it I needed additional plumbing work. If I have a problem, please fix it when you're here.

excellent job and perfect service. the job and process was completely explained beforehand and went smoothly. clean, neat install and everything is working great. BDP also handled the permits and inspections with the town. All the guys are very knowledgeable and margaret is always helpful on the phone. we are repeat customers and BDP stands behind their work. the cost is more than the "other guys" but my peace of mind and not having to worry about how a job will turn out is worth it!

I researched a few companies to bid on this project. BDP came out ahead in price, but especially in the manner in which the company does business. They are prompt, professional and do what they say they are going to do. They basically get the job done.

It all went very well. I met with Dominic earlier in the year because I needed to replace the hot water heater and water softener. Everyone at BPD is very professional. Margaret has a professional, friendly and helpful phone manner and Thorne gets the job done.
