John from Homevision Inspection Services has been my entire family's "go-to" inspector for over 10 years. Personally, he has inspected 3 homes for my husband and myself. John is extremely thorough without being an "alarmist". He presents the facts so that you can make an informed decision when buying the home. The 3 inspections we used John for varied in their complexity. Our first home he inspected was an older Cape Cod, our second was a 3 year-old colonial and the home he just inspected for us is a Dutch Colonial Farmhouse that was built in 1903. John is extremely knowledgeable and is a great source of information for the home buyer. After inspecting each home, he took his time and walked us around the home to point out potential issues, explain his findings and answered the many questions we both had. I feel one of the best things about John from Homevision is that he explains things so that the average person can understand what he is referring to. If he uses a term you are not familiar with, he kindly explains it. Shortly after the inspection, you can expect a very detailed and informative report written so that the average person can easily read and digest it. For our past two homes, I have personally referred back to John's reports numerous times when trying to troubleshoot an issue that popped up. I consider his reports my "home manuals". In addition to being an excellent inspector, he is a super nice guy! He is prompt, courteous and will also respond to any inquiries you may have. I cannot recommend John enough and I am sure after using him once, you will too.

John was great- extremely thorough. Goes up on roof (many do not), pictures galore, detailed report that goes very in depth and lies out all the possible steps to take. Brought ball barings to test pitch of floors, joists , etc. Spent hours at home checking everything out; paint, wiring, making sure stove works, checking if windows lock/open/close, inspected landscaping for drainage/flooding issues. Pointed out several things that were important to correct, things to be inspected by licensed trades, and things that we could fix for no big deal. This was all done after John saved us from buying another home that needed huge fixes and had numerous safety issues that John found. I called him months later for an issue on the inspection report and he walked me though it and spent a good deal of time on it to make sure I was comfortable and understood the issue. All around good guy - I've recommended him to several other people who have all been very happy with him as well, and his price is quite reasonable for the service he provides.

FANTASTIC! He was on time, and took over 3 hours making sure he inspected everything. We bought the house and 2 years later have had no surprises! I recommend him to all of our friends when purchasing a home!
