+ -1 moreOne of the, if not the, best electricians I've ever hired. We called for a service upgrade and some other outlet/line work. He actually tried to talk us out of some things, until we explained that our future plans needed 200amp svc. He ended up redoing the whole outside electrical with box placements that make sense for the future. His guys are as good to work with as he is, the prices are extremely fair, and you get every bit what you pay for. All the work was done in one day (original estimate was 2). Highly recommend, i would gladly hire them again and probably will. 'Nice work for nice people'.

When another issue arose that might have been related to his work, he came back the same day I called and we determined that the issue with the kitchen oven had nothing to do with his work and yet he and his son made an extra effort to fix the problem for us to avoid calling a plumber. Again, his charge for the work - which I insisted upon - was most reasonable.
Description of Work: I called Brian of B-Tec for a sudden electrical issue that developed during the remodeling of our bathroom.

+ -1 moreIt's kind of middle of the road with them. We had little problems. I had a timer, but they couldn't seem to get the timer to work. The timer is set on whole house fans, so we went back to the old twist timers. You just dial it up and it slowly ticks down the time instead of an electronic one. I would recommend their service. I don't know that it was their fault. The price was okay. They responded quickly to me. They were on time. They were polite, courteous and professional.

They worked quickly and were able to complete the job, plus adding power outlets to two closets and adding outlets for my garage door openers. I am so glad I called B-Tec and after this experience, I won't use anyone else. I highly recommend his services.
Description of Work: I had a problem with non-working lights throughout my home that seemed to be spreading. I thought I was calling to have a minor pesky issue cleared up. When Brian arrived at my home to provide me with an estimate, he told me that I had a serious problem with degrading aluminum wiring and was at very high-risk for a house fire. He informed me that the repair would require pig-tailing the entire house inside and out (every outlet, thermostat and switch) and gave me a rough estimate for cost. I scheduled him to come immediately and then did my homework - researching online (looking through electrical inspection sites, etc) and I was able to confirm everything Brian told me - my home had all the symptoms of a very dangerous problem and this was the only way to fix the issue.

They had all the proper equipment to service the two story foyer. They were more then willing to assist me in filing my insurance claim for the damage and repair. My home was treated with care and kept clean. I intend to call them to install the new fixture when it arrives and if I need electrical assistance in the future would not hesitate to call. I would refer them to my friends in an instant.

+ -1 moreHe rewired my closet light, ceiling fan and the box and bracket that supported it, (he found it had been incorrectly installed with a plastic box), and cleaned up a mess of poor wiring. I really appreciated his timeliness and thoroughness.
Description of Work: As a result of a home inspection, the inspector found some wiring issues performed many years ago. I contacted Brian a week ago and showed him pictures of the work done by another person. He said he could correct the wiring and bring it up to code, so obtained a permit and informed him yesterday, that I now had the permit. He called the next day and said he could do it now, which was very important to me.

Description of Work: Brian, the owner, and Dan came to my house to install a fan. Not only did they put the fan together (and it wasn't easy because it was a chandelier fan) they realized the previous fan was installed wrong and was unsafe. They did such a great job installing the new one I had them come back and install two more fans in my children's rooms. I also bought a light switch to be replaced that was defective and they themselves took it back to the store, exchanged it then came back and installed it. NOW THATS SERVICE!

His service is exceptional and price is unbeatable. He is professional and always arrives on time. We have been very happy using B-Tec for the past 4 years.
Description of Work: We have used B-Tec since we purchased out home 4 years ago. Their service is incredible. They always respond to whatever is needed in a short turn-a-round time. This time we needed our electric baseboard changed out due to overheating. This was an emergency for us and Brian was able to come the next morning. He change out our electric baseboard heater and his was exceptional as always. This is why he is the only electric service we use.
