Description of Work: The light and control unit in my refrigerator was malfunctioning. Norm was able to address and fix my issue.

Description of Work: Knowledgeable repair man, honest, on time, fair prices. He is not the best on the phone, do not let that deter you. I would hire this man again and again.

Description of Work: He was very careful and very polite , but very expensive to fix my grill and he did not itemize the bill. It was $60 just to come and $20 more every 15 minutes. He put batteries in and needed to order a new starter . He came 2 weeks later and I presume another $60. The grill works but $149, really. I needed it fixed so I paid it immediately. Told me he has to pay health expenses. I do not know how to rate him . He did a good job but very expensive. I would never call him again due to price (which I agreed to ) but not to itemize . Description of Work: I used Norman's Appliance once and Norman was wonderful, and I highly recommended him to friends -- he was incredibly helpful and responsive. | |A second time, he came out to look at our refrigerator, ordered a part for us, and called when it came in. I called him back to set up his return visit, and left multiple messages. He called WEEKS later and apologized, saying he had been sick. I said that was no problem, but if he could come when he was ready. I waited a few months and called again. No response. | |I was sorry to hear he was sick, but incredibly frustrated that no one (an employee, wife, anyone) ever bothered to returned my call. NO customer service. In the end, we called another company who quickly and efficiently solved our problem.

Description of Work: It was difficult to get a confirmed time for the visit, and then they arrived at the extreme late end of the time window so I couldn't do anything productive other then wait for their arrival. The repairman was knowledgeable and worked quickly however the hourly labor rate turned out to be higher then we expected based on what was agreed when we booked the service.

Description of Work: He was thorough, pleasant and careful. He seems to enjoy his work. I would definitely call him again.

Description of Work: Came as promised to repair our refrigerator. Paid him for the service call. He said it needed parts and would call that evening with an estimate of the repair cost. No call that night or the next day and did not return 2 phone calls. Finally called the next day and said repair would cost at least $450 and he had to order parts which would take a few more days. We fired him and had the work done the next day by another service for far less. Thay had the needed parts.

Description of Work: Over time, Norman has fixed our dishwasher, our refrigerator and our washing machine. He has saved us a ton of money. We recommend Norman.

Description of Work: Called on saturday morning before Easter, he came out same day and fixed the dryer the same day.

Description of Work: Norman showed up on time for the appointment and diagnosed the problem. It took him about 40 minutes to take apart the oven and replace the igniter. Before he replaced the igniter, he showed me that Sears who had done the repair before had not connected the second wire of the ignition system. Norman told me that there could have been a fire, however, it would probably be contained within the walls of the oven. His repair was expensive however he seemed thorough and knew what he was doing. Good news the oven is still working. Never will call Sears again to fix any of their products.

Description of Work: Repaired my clothes washer. It was not spinning to remove the water. Truthfully, I thought since it was over 15 years old, I probably would replace it but thought I would try to see if it could be salvaged. The service man, Norman ran the unit and immediately determined the type of repair part needed. He fixed it and was completed within 1/2 hr. I appreciate the fact that he said that the until would probably only last another year or two and if it needs another repair, it is best to replace it as the motor did not sound as though it would last more than another year or two. Description of Work: My top loading washer was spilling water out of the soap dispenser. It took a longer time than I wanted to schedule the appointment because they were not available the same day and I was busy the next day. The gentleman was very good and explained everything to me. Somehow a sock had gotten into the line between the soap dispenser and the washer drum.

Description of Work: Our washing machine was not draining. The technician from Norman's found that the fluff from a pillow we washed somehow got into the motor. He drained the water from the machine and cleaned the material from the motor. The washing machine now works fine.
