Description of Work: Carpentry work - resizing door that wouldn't close after carpeting, fixing locks and kitchen cabinet and putting up sheet rock in the basement. It took him about 3 hours. I liked the fact that they came out in two days notice. Most other handymen I had tried indicated the job was too small. The thing to note is that these guys charge by time and there is no free estimate on-site. So try to be as prepared as possible with raw materials. Otherwise you'll be paying them to run to the store.

Description of Work: Needed removal of satellite dish wiring and the disk itself. There were some communications problems, but they responded quickly and were very professional. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Description of Work: They removed an old wall unit air conditioner from the wall, reframed the opening, and installed a newer unit in the wall that had been in the window. The job went well - new unit was installed and wall board repaired around it. Looks good. The technician was very efficient and personable.

Although I had made it clear ahead of time I wanted him to figure out what was needed and buy it I had to do the ordering and pick it up myself. He replaced a windowsill fine, but already the doors he installed are coming off the runners. It was way over-priced for the service provided.

Description of Work: I made an appointment, with plenty of advance notice. When I called at the time expected, the office seemed not to remember my appt. They told me the tech would come much later in the day. I took all day off work and at 5pm they called to say that the tech would not come at all today. This was my first appointment made with Mr. Handyman and while they sound nice on the phone, there was no follow through.

Description of Work: We hired this company to remove an old shed that was attached to the back of our garage. It had two sliding doors that were warped and rotting and gave the squirrels in our yard open access to winter in our garage. Bruce from Mr. Handyman came to the house to take measurements and we had a reasonable estimate in hand the next day. Dean took apart the old shed and over the next few days, installed a door, framed, insulated and added sheet rock and sided the outside of the garage. They cleaned up after the job and Bruce acted as project manager and made sure the job was complete. We are very happy with the finished product and will definetly hire them in the future.

Description of Work: They installed a new window and fixed a drainage problem in thewindow. They also caulked the tile in the shower.

Description of Work: The tech, Diego, came promptly at the scheduled time. He saved me money because he advised me that the job of fixing sheet rock that was damaged from a leak in the ceiling, did not need to be cut out and redone. He spackled the space instead. The job was done with expertise. All of the debris from the job was cleaned up perfectly. He had a very pleasant personality and even gave me some advise about calling his service again to install flat screen tvs. This is the second time I have used Mr. Handyman and I would not hesitate to call them again for any handyman needs.

Description of Work: This was a very professional company ,very courteous however You do pay for this. Service was prompt and within the timeframe the salesperson told me it would be.My gutters were in need of a good cleaning and I was told it would take around an hour and it did. My only complaint was the price in the end for an hours work the cost was 180.00. Included in the cost was the bag of garbage i had to pay for them to take away , i think it was around 12 bucks (I would have put it in my trash). The tech was very courteous , he was clean with his work ,and he was dressed very professionally (Mr handyman uniform). In the past I have always seen the gutter cleaning companies out there use the hose (which was available) to make sure there were no clogs in the downspouts that wasnt the case here which was a bit suprising. so i think its safe to say that the downspouts werent looked at or addressed maybe I had to say that i wanted the gutters and downspouts cleaned? Overall they did a good job but the charge In my opinion is a bit excessive for an hours work.

Description of Work: Service was good and ponctual. The price could have been better considering the job. Giving people a break in pricing calls for more buisiness. Charging by the Hour is kind a steep.
