Good mr handyman gave free gutter cleaning cause of my complaint on my last powerwashing

The work was performed well although the installer had not installed these specific models before. The installer was familiar with electrical and had installed thermostats before, but admitted to never installing this model. This is the second time I used this vendor after having them install a pre-fab closet in my bedroom walk-in closet. That project took about 6 hours and cost about $650. It was more than I thought, but given the work it made sense. Ideally, I would have used the same handyman from my first project on the thermostats, but he informed me if I were to ever use him again that he could do most project, but he wasn't a strong electrician. When the receptionist called me back early morning to book the appointment, I reminded the receptionist of the first handyman's limitation. I thought she would have thought she would have been aware, but no big deal. Instead, she recommended another seasoned electrician who was available in a about four hours. I admire the candor of both handymen and their urgency.

Greg was very professional and punctual. I would love working with him on my next project.

Dennis came and did the jobs exactly as we wanted. Every other service we called either didn't return phone calls. Or ones that did showed up gave a laundry list of excuses, and didn't call back to do the work. Apparently the phrase "no job to small" is just so you call them. Then they decide if they want to do it. We have already spoken with Dennis and Ann about other small projects we need to have done. Mr. Handyman will be who we call when we need projects done. The professionalism and price are worth the phone call.

He spent over 1 hour attempting to fix a glass shower door but could not fix it. Grouted and caulked shower base approx. 20 min. Checked electrical issue and could not resolve. Recommended electrician. He was professional but could not complete 2 of the 3 tasks and wasted time trying. Unfortunately he spent over 1 hr. 30 min. attempting to complete a job he couldn't do and I got stuck paying $213.95 for 20 min. of grouting and caulking a shower base that I could have done myself for $20. I was disappointed with the service, especially after reading all the good reviews. I was really hoping to have a good experience but it didn't turn out that way.

The serviceman was on time, and very courteous ! I did not have the right material for the job, in the end the doors look terrific! I will definitely being calling them for other jobs... I highly recommend using this company.. Thank you again mr. Handyman

Co-Owner Bruce and John estimated the job at 2 days, and John had everything done in 2 days... The estimated price was reasonable and they came in very close to estimate... John was a pleasure to be around - very friendly, but not annoying at all (you all know the "too friendly" contractors that get annoying quickly).... John worked hard, and when he left for the day, the work area was clean... The finished job was perfect... The amount of dust was minimal as well... I'll be honest - the hourly (vs job based) thing is a little scary at first... However, John is an ethical worker and he was working hard all day and nailed the estimate... Which was quite good compared to other estimates i had gotten. I would absolutely use John and Mr. Handyman of S Orange-Westfield-Scotch Plains again... And I'm already compiling a list...

John the carpenter called me an hour before he left for my place. i had got some material for the repair. he came over and got to work. fixed up the ceiling pretty well and did it within the alloted 2 hour slot. this was all on a saturday. perfect . I have nothing to complain. Parag

I paid $259 for 2 hours of power washing, the guy stayed for 8 plus hours, my house is not that big. house looked pretty clean, except for the windows and doors he left splattered and my deck which was covered with paint chips along with all my furniture covered in paint chips ...875 dollars later, one day of work, guy must make millions!.... Angie should be ashamed of herself, she let them scam me out of my first 259 dollars... thanks for nothing Angie.

Greg arrived on time and worked all day into the early evening to finish the project. Our old wooden door hatch was literally disintegrating, and on his recommendation, Greg built a new door out of PVC instead of wood (thereby avoiding another door replacement in 10 years). He did a great job and we are very pleased with the results!

Excellent! We used Dean the first time and specifically requested him the second time as well. He was very good, didn't waste time, very professional and high quality work. Excellent followup by the company, easy scheduling as well. They understood exactly what we needed. The cost for the ceiling repair was a bit higher than we had anticipated but that is because once Dean opened up the ceiling we discovered the wood inside was wet and so we had to wait a week or so for it to dry before he could come back and patch it up; we therefore incurred another "first hour fee" which is higher than the subsequent hours. But that is no fault of Mr. Handyman and we were very pleased with the work. We would definitely use them again for odd jobs around the house without a second thought.

Dean arrived promptly and didn't slow down for five hours! He handled the IKEA assembly like a pro and worked through setbacks like our having to replace wrong faucet. He did an outstanding job and the new cabinet and sink look great. He continued to help us with projects that have needed doing, but have been put aside because they involved either an electrician or plumber and Dean took care of everything. He provided great advice and his service was invaluable and we are thrilled to find someone we can rely for any of our projects in the future!

We foolishly used another company to re-attach the siding on the top part of the house that had come down in the winter. By the time April came around, the ill fitted siding completely ripped off. This time around we did our research and found Mr. Handyman online and we noticed that they were also on Angie's List. We called them, and within one hour there was someone at my house surveying the damage. Shortly after their visit we were called and given a very reasonable estimate. We agreed on the price and the next morning they were back at the house ready to fix the siding. The gentleman that arrived to the house was very polite, courteous and extremely professional. After he finished the job he left a bill in our mailbox and we submitted payment right away. We are beyond pleased with the work done and will absolutely use them again for other household repair needs.

This was the first time we used Mr. Handyman. I was impressed, first of all, that they called to confirm the appointment the day before. John, from Mr. Handyman, arrived promptly at 8 AM. After a brief discussion regarding what needed to be done to fix the lattice, he started power washing the house. John did a very good job. Our house desperately need washing and it is now sparkling. It looks great! John was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done to fix the lattice and make sure all pieces lined up. He did a good job with the lattice as well. Our windows needs caulking and our foundation needs painting. We will call Mr. Handyman to have these jobs done and we will be requesting that John do this work as well.

I have used Mr Handyman's services twice and have always been very happy with them. I had 2 different persons and both of them were professional, knowledgeable and provided detailed explanations on the work completed. Making appointment was also a breeze. Mr Handyman called me the day of to let me the approximate time the person is coming. I had experiences with some other handymen who didn't return call or didn't show up on the appointed day/time. Although their hourly price is a little higher than the other handyman's rate, you get what you paid for....reliability, punctuality, cleanliness, professionalism and you won't have to waste time calling or waiting for other handyman. I will definitely use them again and again for other works around our house

I used Mr. Handyman on 2 different occasions over the past 2 weeks, and both times the service was excellent. On the first visit, Dennis did masonry repair work on the concrete steps in front and back of the house. On the second, John removed old carpet/padding/tack strips/staples from the main floor of my house. On both occasions the workmen arrived on time by 8am, and got immediately to work after briefly examining the situation and explaining the job. They worked quickly and efficiently, and the quality of the work was excellent. Both of the men were friendly and professional. If I remember correctly, the masonry job took around 4.5 hours and the carpet around 6.5. Being not at all handy myself, I am sure I will be using these guys again in the future. I am not sure they are the cheapest around (they charge by the hour, not the job) - but they do quality work and are clearly a professional operation, so I feel the value was fair. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs handyman services in the area.

I had initially called them in February, after I found the piece of siding sticking up out of the snow. They sent someone out the next day, but at that point there was still a lot of ice on the roof (which unfortunately faces north), so we agreed that they would return once the ice had melted. They called me back a few weeks later once the weather had gotten warm. I was out when the work was done, but we are happy with the results. I appreciated the fact that they are organized and responsive.

Robert came to do the repairs. Nothing but great things to say about him. Courteous, knows what he is doing, willing to explain and suggest things. This is the company I needed!!! And by the way; I was e mailing the company last week about what I needed and a lady called me before I even got out of my chair from the e mail. Great response!

After finding Mr. Handyman on Angie?s list, I?ve completed 4 projects with them. I started with a pretty major repair to some damaged outside wood that had to be repaired before the Winter. That went very well, so I created a long list of items I hadn't been able to get to. They came back and professionally and expeditiously knocked off several challenges ? refinishing some damaged stairs, bathroom drywall repair, replacement of two complex windows, etc. My most recent job with them was a very big one. Half of my basement was damaged by water in Hurricane Sandy and I had been waiting to repair it because I wanted to gut the whole thing and rebuild it from the walls in. The job involved removing a bunch of paneling down to the cinder blocks, removing a hanging ceiling, adjusting a laundry area to a smaller footprint, moving ducts and pipes to accommodate the new design, putting in sheet rock walls and ceiling, installing new lights and breakers, redoing the floor, and a myriad of other details plus painting. It was a big job I had quoted with contractors before, but hadn?t gotten around doing. As I said I had A+ experience with Mr. Handyman, but I was worried that this job was a much bigger job than typical. I?m happy to say the job was very smooth, of high quality, and exceeded my expectations. Bruce meticulously quoted the job and the specs. Paul - the lead tech - along with Bruce and the crew, came up with creative ideas to accommodate some access panels, relocate some ducts and pipes, and solve a tricky lighting problem. The job was quoted at 8 days and came in at 8 days. There was very good communication and no surprises. A final punch list of nit picking details was handled smoothly. I recommend them without reservation.

Dean, the serviceman, was professional and competent. We had curtain rods with missing screws, which he managed to find and fix. I would sternly recommend this service, and this service person.
