The contractor, Robert, arrived on time and was very professional. He was able to accomplish everything we wanted within the one day. I was impressed with the work ethic, and even though they charge on an hourly rate there was no idle time which we had encountered with other handyman services. We discussed the scope of work early in the day and Robert scheduled everything so he was constantly working and not waiting, for example while the leveling compound was drying the exterior painting was being worked on. We will definitely be using the service again, as a matter of fact I am calling today to schedule more work at the same property.

Provider cleaned up all the debris. Mr. James P. Was very helpful in recommending a plumber to repair the leak.

Ok, I'm from Manhattan and bought condo. I am not a tool belt diva, and my husband is the most UNhandy, so relied on these guys to help sort out a terrible install by big box retailer of exterior door. Bruce sent Dean to my house. Although there was a crazy mixup with the time (appt was for 12, Dean came at 3pm). Dean was very apologetic, and got to work immediately. I'm telling you folks, this guy was on point. Professional, knowledgeable, and he removed a large rotted piece of wood, caulked to ensure no more water in the house, and was very clear about best options. Really glad I used them. I plan to have mister handyman back out to do a ton more of work needed in our home. These guys are great.

They did it right they did it quickly and were right on time. I would use them again in a New York minute. I am a multiple repeat customer.

All the work was done professionally and complete. The technician who came, James, is a compliment to your organization, he was very nice and quite competent in all areas that were a concern. He left the job as neat as he had found it, all things put back where they had been. In fact, if you did not know work had been done, you would have never known he was here at all. Very pleased all the way around, and using Angies List reassures me that only reliable people will show up to do the work.

Anne replied back to me right away. It was the end of a Friday. She gave me very honest and professional options. Even I decided to not to use their service, I will definitely use them again in the future.

Very impressed with this company. Ann returned my e mail promptly and scheduled appointment. She is very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. James arrived as scheduled this morning. He did a great job preparing the surfaces and painting all steps and porch.He is a craftsman and takes pride in his work. The porch and steps have never looked so good. He put drop cloths on the sidewalk to protect the concrete. There was no mess left behind, everything is neat and clean. The wall art and picture he put up on the bedroom walls look great, too. I had trouble keeping a porch door closed, and he installed a new bolt lock at the bottom that will save me on energy bills.. I scheduled an appointment for James to return next Saturday for another project. Another great referral from Angie's list!

I tried do it myself but couldn't get my drill to go through the wood after multiple attempts. The guy showed up on time and installed all the knobs and hardware perfect. He forgot to do one knob during the job but not going to call them at this point to come back and do one. I have to buy a few more so will add to the job next time. I would definitely use them again. Although it seems kind of expensive in terms of being charged for the duration of the work it was well worth the money.

The team at Mr. Handyman was extremely capable and reliable. Management came for quote when they said they would, provided timely feedback, price in range with others, revisited job site as necessary, and searched for cost-effective solutions to adequately waterproof and redo the porch, inclulding surrounding area. During the actual work, the team showed up on time and worked to the schedule that had been established. Clean-up was done as the work went along, and every evening all was picked up and covered. This job was done on a time and material basis and all costs were properly justified. Communication at every phase was excellent. Response to our questions was timely and we were given complete information. I and my brother and sister had this porch repair done for my mother, and all four of us (mom included) had questions and issues which were handled seamlessly. We would definitely recommend Mr. Handyman of S. Orange-Westfield-Scotch Plains for any job. We felt we were treated fairly and the job was handled in an extremely professional manner, both in oversight and execution. In addition, they are very pleasant and nice people to work with.

The door replacement work was fantastic, it looks great and is major improvement from what was there before. There were issues with the work done to repair the wood damage but the vendor came back later and addressed those issues at no cost to me. This speaks volumes about the company and their focus on customer satisfaction

I called yesterday afternoon - the person who answered was very professional and asked me a number of questions to make sure she knew what was needed. Ray came out that afternoon and gave me a reasonable estimate. Though it was late in the afternoon, he indicated he would go to Home Depot, get the needed replacement panel and install it that afternoon (since the forecast was for heavy rain the following day). He returned with the replacement panel siding and installed it quickly and efficiently . The cost of the job was within the estimate he had given me. Ray was very professional and courteous. I was very satisfied with the job he did.

I requested that they arrive after 1PM and they accommodated my request. I received a call about 20 minutes prior informing me that the technician was on his way. He completed all the work in one hour which was wonderful.

Dean was assigned to this job and he was very thorough. He made sure everything was done right and I thought, was very meticulous. He offered suggestions and advice based on his years of experience but ultimately left it up to me to make sure I was happy. It came out to be a little more than what was estimated and what I expected to pay but I'd rather have it done right than having it be a rushed job.

Dennis was assigned to our job. He was prompt, courteous, and efficient. He gave a very good estimate of the work that was involved and did a fantastic job, which due to the nature of the project, required that he return over two days to complete the staining. He was meticulous and left no mess. We are already planning for our next project with Mr. Handyman!

After a discussion by phone, the Provider and I agreed that the scope of work we wanted was too much to be done in the time allotted for the Big Deal. I therefore cancelled the Big Deal. I appreciated the Provider's honesty and professionalism.

Very well! i paid a local big box store to install the microwave, but they would not drill through my backsplash. I called mr handyman,the same day, and they sent over Dennis. He read through the instructions and we set up the microwave.

That was around May or June of last year. The quote was over $15000. They just came for the estimate and there really wasn't anything to grade. The only thing detailed about the quote was the price. They came out two days later. They kept their word. They did come but we didn't do anything. They were on time. I couldn't tell if they were professional because I was only getting a quote.

The removal and installation went well, even though there were some challenges. The drain on the new sink had a different location which required some creative thinking in terms of the plumbing. The garbage disposal now interfered with the hot water shutoff, and we could no longer could use the existing drainage plumbing as it was configured. Fortunately our installer, Dean, was up to the task. He moved the shutoff, and reconfigured the drainage plumbing. Everything works as designed, and Dean did a terrific job. I appreciate his professionalism, courtesy and attention to detail.

Fair pricing, clean work, punctual, flexible scheduling, with pleasant efficient fellows doing the work. Worth the cost. We will continue to use this service as needed -- satisfied repeat customer.

Mr. Handyman was very flexible in making time for my appointment as I was trying to cram in some last minute home tasks before the holidays. They really worked with me to accommodate my schedule, and for that alone I am very grateful. They worked quickly and very professional. There was a situation where some blinds that I had cut were a bit shorter than the window, but they made it work out with their carpenter expertise. I would definitely patronize them again and recommend them to anyone that has some tasks around that seem daunting to the average Joe, (and I'm below average on my carpentry skills!), but they fulfilled my request effortlessly and really helped me out. Extremely pleased with the service I received.

I've used these guys on a few occasions for the various odd job that most providers won't even return phone calls for. It's just big enough where I either don't have the skill for, or the desire to do myself, but not big enough where most providers will give me the time of day. Mr. Handyman has always returned every phone call, no matter how small the job, and is always professional. This particular job, he cleared out some VERY stubborn bushes that refused to die (no matter how hard I tried), including the roots. Not an easy task, but he did it right, and left the ground level (not a huge hole where the bush used to be). The aluminum siding was a simple replacement of a few corner pieces that fell off over the years (weather, age and the occasional bump from the lawn mower). My one and only complaint, and this might be rooted in a fair amount of ignorance on my part, was the hourly price is a tad high (it was well over a hundred per hour). However, knowing the job is done right, and that I don't need to have someone come back and do it again, it was worth it. One less thing on my checklist, and move on.

Greg showed up promptly and quickly fixed an old sliding door in my Jersey City home. I had dreaded that the problem might require removal of the door casing or opening of the old plaster walls. Fortunately, neither were necessary and Greg quickly tightened an old bolt and secured it with silicone to keep the door on its rail.

I was selling my house and I needed a few things repaired. I called and Ann got back to me me right way. They came within a day or two and they did a great job. I even called them back to paint my hallway. I would highly recommend them. they charge by the house and for materials. I definitely felt like I got my moneys worth compared to some contractors I have used in the past.
