Everything was fine except the front of one of my cabinets was cracked by the installer and they still have not come back to replace it. Not happy that there was no written estimate because the actual jobs came in higher than the verbal estimates.

Perfectly! Very professional, fast and did the job right. Also cleaned up nicely. I will use them again for a whole bunch of projects.

It was a good experience. I don't have any issues with them. The price was reasonable. They were on time.

Excellently well ! I had called and left a brief message as to my need for a repair of the awning as soon as possible. It was semi- dislodged from the window frame and I was concerned that it would soon fall. I received a call shortly after I had left my message and the repair was scheduled for the next day. The person who did the repair was courteous and careful with his work. He did an excellent job on the repair. I also received a call shortly thereafter to check if the job was completed to my satisfaction. I have had work down before on my home by Mr. Handyman of Scotch Plains, and no matter what job needs attention, they do a professional job.

Well, the job was executed expeditiously with a smile!!!

They are pretty quick and simple to work with. I think they had fair pricing. They were very responsive. Very punctual, they were there before I was.

Dean did a great job. He was punctual, neat inside the house and efficient. The job ended up being more than I thought but that is because of some shoddy work from a previous contractor, which Dean was nice enough to bring to our attention. The office at Mr. Handyman was also very accommodating and worked to return and complete the job four days sooner than initially planned. We are very happy with the work and will be using them in the future.

On March 13, 2017 a day prior to the Northeaster snow storm Dean, an installer from Mr. Handyman installed an attic fan in my home. He was very polite and courteous throughout the service. Dean laid out in detail what needed to be done in order to complete the job. He kept me informed during the process and provided me with valuable information on the operation of the fan after completion. I was extremely happy with his service and quality of work. I would use this company again if I needed service.

I would say that they are reliable, professional, very courteous, and did an excellent job.

The experience was pretty good. They got the job done, but I wanted more feedback from them, like what exactly the problem they were fixing. What can we do to prevent it in the future. I wanted a little more communication and interaction. You just can't come and do the job and just go away. More interaction is needed. They did the job pretty well. Their punctuality was pretty good. They could explained what they done.

Tony was knowledgeable, professional and friendly, Repaired the doors in a timely fashion and advised us on other projects. Also was very honest.

Fixed sink cabinet door in the bathroom. Unfortunately he didn?t tell me to keep the cover of the drawer and I have to get another one.

As usual, we had a great experience with Mr. Handyman. Dean is professional, efficient and skilled with any challenge. He installed it, trimmed it outside and in and added molding on the inside. Our home was built in 1868, so this was definitely challenging. Excellent experience!

Everything went fine from start to finish. John arrived on time and got right to work. There was no time wasted. He got the job done in a reasonable amount of time, and I was happy with the end result.

The drawer underneath the vanity broke off. He measured the inside of the drawer. He only placed four pieces of wood on the side and one on the bottom. Unfortunately I have a vanity that has pieces of wood that come out only. Ultimately the job wasn't done correctly. The materials he used were just plain pieces of wood, I don't think they were new. There was some miscommunication because he didn't mention that I should've kept the front of the drawer since he had it out after the repairs were supposedly completed. The reinforcement of the closet went well though.

Greg performed all the work, extremely professional, he allowed me to help in order to cut down on the price. The prices are a little higher, however remember that you get what you pay for and there estimates are right on target without any hidden costs.

As usual the service and professionalism was superior....each task was more complicated then expected....trap had to be replaced under sink in addition to installing a new faucet....and the screen door had to be adjusted to fit doorway after it had been repaired....Robert once again did an excellent job...he always does everything the right way and we trust him to take care of any situation.

Great! They were able to come on my schedule and get the shelves installed with no problem. It took a little longer than I thought it might, but I can't argue with the results!

Except for the door work, the job was done okay; however, because of the terribly messy and unprofessional job completed on the doors, the remainder of the work went on from late afternoon until evening. John was also supposed to do a small amount of electrical work, but it was too late. He arrived between 8 and 9 o?clock in the morning on April 29th, and spent the next SEVEN hours sanding and globbing stain on three narrow louvre doors. As I was watching him, I was thinking to myself that he?s not applying the stain properly - which anyone knows is rubbed on and wiped off. He was ?painting,? if you could call it that and even globbing stain on the door handles. Because the stain was applied so unevenly and thickly, it couldn?t dry and was very smelly. I called David, one of the owners of Mr. Handyman, and told him the situation just as I am stating it here. John was very happy with himself, telling me that he is a builder and could do any job in the home. I had to learn the hard way that he surely couldn?t stain doors. David was very accommodating in that he determined that the doors were ruined and sent to my home the next handyman, Dean, to assess the situation. Dean brought the three louvre doors outside my home for me so that I could put them with the garbage. In the meantime, I had to BUY TWO BRAND NEW DOORS (ONE FOR THE LINEN CLOSET AND ONE FOR THE POWDER ROOM) plus NEW HANDLES FOR THOSE DOORS. I ask you, who is in the home refurbishing business and covers metal door handles with wood stain? Please keep in mind that I had ALREADY PURCHASED A NEW LINEN-CLOSET LOUVRE DOOR before the job was started. In my first attempt at retrieving money that I never intended to spend, I contacted VISA since I had paid Mr. Handyman using that charge account. I wrote to them as they requested all the information that I stated above, and initiated a dispute. I sent to them all of the paperwork that they requested such as the payment statement from Mr. Handyman and the building supply that sold me the doors. I included a receipt from LOWES for the two door handles. The original louvre door cost me $133.86. The other two new doors cost $681.67. The two new door handles cost $12.38 and $23.92. The total cost was $36.95. The TOTAL COST FOR 3 DOORS AND 2 HANDLES - $851.83. When I joined Angie?s List this year, I assumed that the businesses that advertise themselves on her website would be, first and foremost, concerned with providing the proper work that needs to be done. I have used the site to complete two other jobs in my home which were done beautifully. Wood flooring work was completed by Tedora, Inc., and interior painting was done by Robert Canaan Painters. They came, they worked, I paid. Not one unnecessary cost was incurred. Furthermore, when Greg assessed the job that needed to be done, he wrote on the Mr. Handyman work-description sheet, of which I have a copy, that the estimated time would be SIX hours. John worked at my house from approximately 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Dean work another seven hours on the new doors. That is a total of 18 hours, not 6. I was inconvenienced for 12 more hours than the estimated time, that is, 12 hours that I was not able to work in my own business. VISA?S response to my dispute, which I received in yesterday?s mail, stated: My $850.00 dispute with Mr. Handyman is a portion of the $1,186.32 which posted to my account on May 2, 2016. (At that time, I paid the bill in full.) They also stated that they were unable to support a billing error and that they did not have the proper documentation to present to the merchant that supports the dispute. They determined that they needed a second opinion letter from an expert in the industry advising why the service was not as described and how it should have been handled. VISA wrote that I had valid complaint with the merchant, but there was nothing else that they could do. First of all, as you can clearly see from my meticulous detail, you can be assured that I sent to them everything that was required. I reiterated more than once to the VISA customer service agents on the telephone that I was NOT asking for a REFUND for the CHARGE OF $1,186.32. I WAS ASKING FOR A SETTLEMENT CONCERNING THE APPROXIMATELY $850 THAT I INCURRED ON DOOR AND DOOR PARTS I WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO PURCHASE. As far as a second opinion goes, the owner of Mr. Handyman, David, and his star employee, Dean, both either told me to or helped me to carry the three ruined doors out to the GARBAGE. How much more clarity does VISA need? But that?s not Angie?s problem Tomorrow, without any hesitation, I will be cancelling my Visa account and opening an account with American Express.
