Do not use Atlas!!!I went to Atlas to my kitchen countertops and backsplash. My experience in the showroom gave me no reason to doubt this company. We had extensive conversations with our salesperson, Donna, about exactly what we wanted which included a 12 inch overhang on the kitchen island. She called me with a quote on the 3 options we had chosen and told me that the next step would be to make a deposit and then they would come to measure for the template. At no point, was I told that I would have to be home to direct the guy doing the measuring. After all, the salesperson knew exactly what we wanted. I had a trusted bathroom contractor at the house, the day of measurement to let the guy in. If he had any questions, he should have called either the salesperson or me, the homeowner. When the guys came to install, there was no overhang on the island. Atlas took no responsibility for this at all even though the salesperson knew that we wanted an extra 12 inches (for barstools). Another slab had to be ordered and we were charged full price for this. I spoke to several people at Atlas including Elizabeth, the owner. They refused to accept any culpability whatsoever. I had no choice but to pay an additional $4000 but I will never be a return customer and I will make sure that no one else I know uses them for any renovation projects. Their integrity and business practice is not to be trusted at all.

The team at Atlas Marble and Granite were professional, informative, and patient with me. Best of all, they did an amazing job from start to finish! The installer even took the time to educate me about the stone, which was a much appreciated plus. This was my first time managing my parents’ rental and I didn’t know where to start. The Atlas team helped me find the most suitable stone for the kitchen, and guided me in ensuring it complimented the existing flooring and new cabinet colors. The stone brings everything together so beautifully! While sharing photos of the space with the team, they also suggested a counter space for a nook that became the talk of many prospective renters. I can’t thank Atlas enough for their guidance, professionalism, patience, and making this first experience such a positive one. I look forward to working with Atlas on my next project.

Great. I chose Atlas first because they are close to my home and I heard they have a lot of stone slabs in stock so I could go see material for myself. I knew I wanted natural stone but still hadn't chosen exactly what. I met with Elizabeth (a co-owner) and she talked me through the pros and cons of different materials and showed me several options. I took pictures of the ones I liked and Elizabeth prepared several quotes for me within a day of my visit to the showroom. I selected the one I wanted after giving it some thought and the staff called back quickly to schedule the templating session. Eddie came and did the template a few days later and was very thorough and professional. A few days after templating, Elizabeth emailed a design showing photos of the slabs I had chosen in the exact layout from the template. It looked good so I approved the design over email and it went into production. They called to schedule the install about 10 or 12 days after the templating, and the counters were installed the next week. Scheduling was easy and flexible and the entire staff communicated everything clearly. A crew of two guys did the install in about half a day. The counters look great. Good product, good service. Highly recommended.

Was purchasing granite for an island and silestone for the main countertops. I was issued a quote and gave a deposit. The owner of the company had sent me the quote while the salesperson was out of the office. They came to do measurements. Came on time. The price came back ridiculously higher after the formal measurements. After back and forth, an admission was made by Atlas that the quote that the owner gave was erroneous. The salesperson would not honor the quoted price, which is why we chose Atlas in the first place. Well aware that we were nearing the end of our project, the salesperson's solution was basically if you don't like it we will give you your deposit back. Not even a suggestion that the difference be split by the two parties involved - which I may have agreed to if the option had been given. I left 3 messages for the owner - Elizabeth. She never got back to me to discuss a solution - to add insult to injury, the person that was taking messages told me that Elizabeth would be out of the office for 3 weeks and not be reachable. I got patched back thru to the salesperson and requested a refund of my deposit. At that point, an offer of a $100 credit was made - sort of insulting. I thankfully did receive the deposit back a little more than 2 weeks later. This set our project back an additional 3 weeks. Atlas does carry and nice range of granite. marble and manmade materials, however the lack of professionalism certainly outweighs the quality of the products. I would not recommend using this vendor.

experience isn't perfectI could provide enough force to Absolutely terrible overall experience. I was promised delivery and installation on a specific day, roughly two weeks before a holiday party we were hosting. Ultimately the product was delivered and installed 10 days after that date. I was never given a reason why. Luckily I had terrific contractors that worked several 14-15 hour days to get everything done for me in time. On the day the counters were installed, I got a call at work telling me that I had to pay the balance due before the installers were able to leave my home. I was concerned because I hadn't yet moved money into my checking account and didn't want to get hit with an overdraft fee. So I asked them if they could take my debit card number and bill me the next morning. They would not accommodate. I was told that if I didn't pay then and there the installers would have to remove the counter tops and take them back. Those were the exact words spoken to me. I completely understand that a product needs to be paid for, but the fact they would not even attempt to help me left another sour taste in my mouth. About two weeks after installation I noticed that one particular section of counter had a very slight bit of up-down movement. Normally I would not care because the counters are obviously very heavy, but the movement was causing the grout between the counter and back-splash to crack. After about 8 phone calls and a dozen e-mails I was able to get Atlas to come out to my home to look at the problem. Their solution was to place a shim under one side of the counter. That worked for about a week. The problem returned and this time around it was even more difficult to get them out to my home. I talked on the phone to several receptionists at Atlas. I was lied to several times about people "attempting to return my calls" and "scheduling issues." The bottom line is that everyone I talked to at Atlas was hoping that by ignoring me I would go away. I finally got someone to come out to address my issue last week. I just hope the issue is fixed. It is beyond frustrating to pay a company over $5000 and have such a miserable customer experience. I understand that things go wrong and every experience isn't perfect, but the manner in which Atlas dealt with my issue was just unacceptable. Since I have no other means of recourse I'm hoping that this post causes some Angie's List users to keep looking...

Very happy with the installation. We added a cabinet after paying for the counter at IKEA and after discussing the additional size. Atlas did not charge additional as IKEA rounds up (poor form for IKEA but great service for Atlas). The measurement was quick and painless and the crew came to install a couple of weeks later. The final product looks great and the seam is virtually invisible. Our only negative was puntuality and professionalism. While all we had contact with were pleasant, there was not enough follow-up from the company. For example, we were told we would get a call about installation after the measure ... we didn't and when we followed-up, were given a window of days when we should expect the team to come out and install and that we would be contacting us to confirm the date. We never heard and when we called the day before the install window was to end, they said they had an opening for the next morning. Fortunately this worked out as I had already scheduled the day off for other work. Both crews (measure and install) were a couple of minutes past the back end of the arrival window for both the measure and the install. The finished product looks great but you'll probably need to keep tabs yourself to stay in the know. They could definately use a bit better comuunication with the customer.

Fantastic all around. Elizabeth is knowledgeable and helpful. Sorayah followed up on everything including scheduling, billing, etc. The Dura Loc guy, the measurer, and the installers were all amazing - pleasant, punctual, and high-quality all around. I love my counter - it is beautiful and installed well. This company is a real pleasure to work with.

They were great, very knowledgeable and good to work with. They installed on a day we had no power because of a freak storm. They used their power tools working off a small generator we had but they were unable to get enough power to use a big tool they needed. Just as they were getting to ready to reschedule the power came back on and they were able to finish. I will use them again in the future.

Atlas will fabricate and install marble, granite and other stone slabs sourced from their own inventory or other warehouses. Their inventory collection is not extensive, but sufficiently stocked with popular choices. If you're on a budget, I suggest considering their inventory because it will definitely reduce your overall cost. If stone is sourced outside the fabricator it can easily double the price. For example, fabrication using outside sourced stone ranged from $1500-$3000 for onyx slabs. I made 2 trips there before making a final decision. At first they didn't have the exact stone I was looking for (veined white onyx), which is why I searched warehouses. On my 2nd trip a few weeks later I found something really beautiful - an onyx with green and gold tones - something I hadn't seen anywhere else. From speaking with other stone warehouses, I learned that Atlas works with alot of onyx and will likely have interesting slabs in stock and, more importantly, is highly experienced fabricating this stone which is more delicate than marble or granite. I've gotten many compliments on my onyx countertop - it's the jewel of my bathroom. I'm extremely happy. The team there is professional, easy to work with, and does a great job. This is the second time I worked with Atlas (I had a marble countertop fabricated and installed for a 36" vanity in 2007) and I highly recommend them. I plan to use them again when redoing my kitchen.
