About us

Alpine is a four-generation, family-owned and operated business and has been the premier Air Conditioning and Heating Company in Central NJ for over 50 years. We offer repairs, full system replacements as well as oil-to-gas conversions. We design HVAC systems specific to our customers’ needs, budget, and home size. Systems are designed to increase efficiency, lower utility bills and many come with sizable rebates. We install whole-house generators and sump pumps for your home safety and peace of mind. Alpine also installs and services hot water heaters, and can evaluate and install indoor air quality systems such as humidifiers and air cleaners to help customers breathe easier. We have received the Angie’s List Super Service Award for the past 12 years and are a Premier Lennox Dealer, which gives us access to discount pricing, incentives and rebates that are passed directly to our customers. We also carry Trane, American Standard and service all brands of Air Conditioners and Furnaces. Our technicians are fully trained, licensed and insured. Description of Work: I replaced an on-demand water heater with a 50 Gal. Bradford White Gas Water heater. I also requested a Condensation Pump be installed for AC drain. |Team of two arrived on time. Took a little over two hours and was very pleased with results. No mess, no hassles, answered questions I had. All old equipment taken away. Price estimate on phone was met. New unit seems great quality, brass valves; Finally decent hot water! Passed inspection no problem. Would recommend vendor to others.

Description of Work: Ac unit stopped working. They came out 1 day after initial call had all the parts needed and repaired and explained what went wrong with the unit. Very professional technician was right on time if not early. Used them for our heating maintenance also.

We are unsure about your complaint. Our records indicate we were at your home on 5/4/15 when you requested an Air Conditioning and Hot Water Heater Inspection, which we performed and you paid online via Angie's List. Then, over 1 month later (6/16/15) you called requesting a FURNACE Inspection. Perhaps you are selling your home and required this with documentation. We performed the full-service furnace inspection complete with findings and a detailed report. You were billed separately for this inspection, as it was a separate request and a separate call. If you want both done at the same time, we would have been happy to do so, but it was not indicated when you first called. Regardless, each unit's inspection would be a separate charge then as well, because we performed 2 separate check ups. We are dismayed about your negative review.

Thank you for sending your review. I am the person whom spoke with you on the phone the day you contacted our office. I inquired as to what services you were looking into as well as he particulars of the home in order to schedule the appropriate staff member to do the site survey and provide a quote, I then mentioned the brands we deal with. and did confirm the brand of equipment you were interested in, was one of which we are dealers and also mentioned the other ones we carry so you would be aware there was a selection. At that time you made it clear you were only interested in the one brand and did not wish for us to provide a quote. I normally quote different product lines as consumers have different requirements. I am sorry to have upset you by offering multiple choices as you already had made your choice of poduct,.. Unfortunately when someone contacts us it is necessary to retrieve as much information as possible and provide information on our end, Good luck with your new system, the brand you had inquired about is one of the best.

Description of Work: I have steam gas furnace which maintenance person suppose to clean water glass container, and run water (dirty water) if water run smoothly, but he only used meter to check wire connection for 5 minutes and run furnace couple second . I don't call |that maintenance. |

Response from Alpine Heating and Cooling
Hello [member name removed], We are sorry you weren't totally satisfied in the service of your steam furnace/boiler. We reviewed the Work Order from our very qualified technician who was at your home. I also spoke to him personally and he remembered your home, boiler and conversation. My records indicate he spent well over 20 minutes and I have his exact notes about what he did: "Heat P/S Completed - Transformer OK, Gas Valve OK, Inducer OK. Water Level OK, Relay Center and primary ignition control OK. Pressure sensor OK, Automatic feed Good. *Slight leak out of LWCO.* Flue/Draft = Good." These diagnostics take time. Additionally we were not aware you had a steam boiler at the time of appointment. The cost of a boiler tune up is higher than the standard furnace price that you were charged, but we did not increase the price, for the service you received. He did also check the site glass which was fine and discussed that you diligently do the weekly maintenance of blowing down the boiler on your own. Again, we are sorry if you are dissatisfied. In the future, please mention you have boiler vs. standard furnace. I assure we will continue to do our best to provide the experience you expect.
