Sent an introductory e-mail with general overview and scope of work and did not receive follow-up.

I didnt' wind up using him because we lost touch . I believe I never got a response to my follow-up email. I was very happy that he came by to talk to me about plastering and preserving the details in my historic home. Others contractors had tried to convince me to tear my plaster walls down and install sheetrock throughout my house. If nothing else, he gave me inspiration to maintain what I have and he was personable. Also, this is probably not an accurate price as far as the approximate cost of service, because he quoted me an hourly rate for plastering.

They're very professional, they explained the items in detail, also gave us suggestions for the kitchen as well. Price is a little bit high and above my budget.

Glenn and his assistant for the day showed up on time and made sure to keep track of the time, since they are paid by the hour. I had a variety of things that needed to be hung up around the house and they were very good about positing things without going ahead, to make sure I was happy with how things were placed on the wall, and Glenn made suggestions (before going ahead and doing certain things), like applying a finish to a lack-luster shelf that made it look a lot better. I was very happy to pay someone to do work that I was pretty sure I would screw up on my own. He also go back to me with idea about some future projects in a timely manner. Part of the job involved having to go to a store to pick up some hardware, which was time for which I was not charged, and his assistant stayed behind to keep working while Glenn went to get the right equipment. Also, they made sure to clean everything up before they left. The only drawback in the process, and this is not a deterrent... I would definitely use him again... is that it's hard to pin down a time for an appointment, because he is quite honestly that busy. Once we had a time set, though, it went well.

We were happy with their service. They fixed the problems at a reasonable price.

Tremendous experience. Excellent communication, timely, quality work. No issues. We will use Glenn's services again without hesitation.

Contractor was very responsive. Sent message on Tuesday night 9pm Happy Handyman called back Wednesday morning 9am, Made appointment 12:30pm. Came on time. Job was done by 3:30pm. Owner was there with his carpenter a very good worker.

It went very well. They showed up on time went to work and did a good professional job.

Gosh, where to begin? We've lived in our house for ten years and always HATED the dark paneling on the walls. We've asked for quotes from other contractors, which have run the gamut from, " If you don't want this paneling, you should move..." to "The best thing to do is just slap some 1/8 inch Sheetrock on top and that'll be good enough to cover it" to never getting back to us at all. It's our house, and we didn't want to sell, do a quick and dirty job or forget about the whole thing...we wanted to do it right. Into the picture...Angie's List and Glenn (a.k.a. The Happy Handyman)..he showed up when we reached out to him, provided an accurate assessment, scheduled the job in a timely fashion, provided an accurate estimation of the time required and the approximate cost, SHOWED UP ON TIME AND READY TO WORK (huge deal for folks who have contracted for work in the past and had vendors show up midday or not at all...what??), and he and his guys (shoutout to Omar, who is a MACHINE) worked tirelessly until the job was complete. And...they left the house clean. They vacuumed, dusted, used furniture polish and restored the living room to its former state before leaving. I told Glenn I would take care of it, but he insisted it was their obligation to perform as part of the job. Simply...wow! What a pleasure. We are happily panel-free now. And, while I selfishly don't want anyone else to find Glenn and his team, I have to admit they were incredibly professional and did an awesome job. I have MANY more projects for The Happy Handyman. In the end, he has made me a happy homeowner again! They deserve their superior rating. Bravo.

Wonderful job overall! Glenn is a very nice and knowledgable person to talk to about home ownership. During his first visit, he gave us a lot of good advice on how to approach insurance companies and how to control mold. He and his guy David are very professional, proficient, neat, and have great attention to details. They have done a great job fixing my water-damaged ceiling, making it even nicer than before the damage. Glen also graciously examined my bathrooms (which initially caused the water damage), and volunteered an hour or two fixing a few problems, free of charge! The price is reasonable, and Glen has thrown in the paint, some nice light bulbs, and other materials. I would definitely go back to this company again.

I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to have HHS perform the requested services the same week I called Mr. Mudrick. I was in a time crutch because I needed my bedroom painted prior to the installation of hardwood flooring next week. Wow!! I was impressed that they were able to complete the job in one day. They even removed a large mirror that was glued to the wall. The sheetrock was repaired and painted. You cannot tell that the mirror was ever there. My bedroom looks amazing and I am sure it will look even better once the floors are installed. I will definetly use Happy Handyman Services in the future.

Glen responded quickly even though he was recovering from surgery.He replace 3 basement windows, cleaned the gutters and adjusted a door. |The gutter cleaning included power washing the gutters,walkways and patio. |Two workers came witn him and they introduced themselves and shook my hand when they came in. Very pleasant experience.

We needed some bathroom and closet doors changed. We contacted many handymen but happy handyman not only got in touch with us promptly but also turned up on the day they promised. Glen is a great guy punctual and efficient. We are very happy with the work they have done for us and have lined up some more jobs for them. Totally recommend them!!

I've used Happy Handyman before and was very pleased. I called them again to inspect my roof and do needed repairs. Genn and his partner went right to the job and did all that was needed and at a reasonable cost.

The first appointment: The provider called the night before but didn't leave a voicemail message confirming the appointment. They didn't show up to do the work the day of the first appointment. The owner came at 2:30 in the afternoon, apologized for the "mix up" and we set up an appointment for the following Monday at 8:30am with the understanding that since he wasn't going to be able to personally do the work he was going to arrange for a trusted colleague do it. Quote: " I trust this guy with my life". So I thought OK, I'l give this company a second chance. I was so sure they would want to protect their Angie's List reputation! 2nd Appointment - Following Monday: (first yellow flag - Sunday no confirmation call). Monday 8:40am - I left a message to verify my appointment. 9:20am - Happy H's Office calls back - they had another "mix up". I told them I'd find someone else to do the work. Even at half price (he offered 9:45am) - I can't be bothered with a business that is so disorganized and doesn't know how to communicate. Total waste of my day off! I own a service business - lack of communication will cripple the best of businesses!

The crew arrived on the date and time promised. Floors and furniture were covered before work began. Removal of the toilet and floors occurred first. The bathroom is very small such that only two people at most can fit in the room at the same time. Segments of the work were scheduled so that specific tasks such as installation of the wallboard, floor removal, etc. were accomplished in a coordinated and timely manner. The crew worked together so that while one person was working on the wallboard, someone else was painting or patching a different wall where old fixtures were removed or some other task. Glenn did some of the work and checked in with his crew regularly when he was not on site. The crew vacumned and cleaned up each day before they left. As work progressed, new paint in the bathroom made the bedroom walls really look drab. I asked Glenn if he could paint the bedroom for us sometime soon. He worked us into his schedule so that the bedroom was painted by the time that the bathroom was finished. We did not change the tile in the shower stall because they were in good condition. However, after the regrouting was done, the workman asked for cleaning material and cleaned the tiles in the shower. That was not part of the job description. The shower tiles were gleaming and complemented the other work being done. Glenn was not on site when the job was complketed but he called the next morning to check on the completion and to determine if we were satisfied. There were a couple of small items that needed to be addressed and that was done in a timely manner. We are extremely pleased with the results. It is now a pleasure to use this bathroom. The bedroom looks great. We really feel that these rooms are reflective of 21st century decor. The Happy Handyman Service has done made jobs for us beginning in 2008 when Glenn remodeled the laundry room and removed panelling, painted, and replaced a closet door in a bedroom. Although the job is now almost 4 months old, it still feels great to be in such a beautiful space. We are now planning to have The Happyhandyman remodel the main bathroom upstairs. We have already met with Glenn and to discuss the scope and design of the work which will be an extensive gut job.

Glenn is very professional, as are the guys he hires. He is a real pleasure to work with .

I am the landlord of a house in New Brunswick, NJ near Rutgers University that is typically rented to college students (which means it gets beat up a lot). I found Glenn through Angie's List and called him right away based on the positive reviews. He came a bit of of his way to meet me and from the first time we met I knew I was dealing with a professional. Since then, I have called Glenn at least 20 times to help with both large and small projects and I have never been disappointed. Happy Handyman has helped me with window replacements (including finding a good match to an out of production window), large sheetrock and plaster wall and ceiling repairs, door replacements, storm door installation, grout, caulking, lock installation, toilet repair, and powerwashing. He and his team also rebuilt a decaying porch from scratch and it looks and works great. Overall Glenn is a good person and Happy Handyman are true professionals. A+ Highly recommended!

We were pleased with the results. We have used Happy Handyman Services before and were happy with the work done. Glenn is very professional and wants his customers to be satisfied. We're already working on our next To Do List and we know exactly who to call!

I needed shut off valves installed for washing machine. The existing valves were over 30 years old. Afraid to take a chance and tackle it myself. I called a plumber to give me an estimate. They wanted 60.00 just to come to the house to give the estimate. If they did the job they would take the estimate off the bill. I called Mr. Handyman. They charged 158.00 per hour plus tax, parts and van usage fee.. They removed the old fixtures and installed new valves. The total bill was 204.00.

Glenn responded very promptly to our request for an estimate, and quickly arranged to come out for a look. His estimates for installing a replacement front door was $350.00 plus tax, and for windows was $150 plus tax, which we thought was very reasonable. The only reason we did not use Glenn was because on further research it seemed that for best results particularly on windows, it was better to have installation done by the company selling the windows. Since we needed to replace all windows in our house, we chose to go with another company. However, we would definitely consider Glenn for other jobs. Glenn was very professional throughout our interactions.

timing and schedules did not mesh.

They were excellent. They did everything above and beyond with beauty. They noticed things that needs to be done and to be fixed. And best part was, they definitely give you your money's worth. If somebody owns a house, they need know Happy Handyman if they live in the central New Jersey area. They are a top-notch organization. And I will call them back when I need them. They've done many things and all of them were expert.

Glenn has done a great job on whatever we have had him do. He, and his crew, are conscientious and we definitely will have him do work for us in the future.
