I left a v/m and received a call back the next day, explained what I needed to be done - (compounding, concrete repair and PVC repair) and told them that I was looking for estimates. I was told they can start right away. I again explained that I was only looking for an estimate and wanted to meet with the person before any work could begin. Now, they did not know if they were able to do the concrete work and stated they will call me back the next day. That was a over a week ago and still no call back.

He was very responsive. I spoke with him and he gave me a time that he would call me back and he did. He told me when he would come by to fix it and he gave me a rough estimate. He came on time and he did fix the thing. It was the price he quoted. He did a good job. He was very professional and timely. I was very happy. I'd called other people and they were very expensive. He was reasonable. He was absolutely on time and didn't charge me any extra. He was very polite and nice.

This is my fourth time working with Glenn and his team. Needless to say, I'm a fan. I compile lists until they reach a sizable mass and then reach out to Glenn. I was saddened to hear that Glenn was offline for a bit in the late fall, but waited to order the door until he was back in business. That should say something about the trust that I've placed in his capabilities and commitment. The door was hung quickly and competently. We were out of the house for a few hours while the second coat was being applied and this caused some drama. The stain was applied too thickly, hiding the grain of a beautiful wood door, looking like paint. Our jaws dropped when we saw it and we were utterly freaked out. I work in professional services(IT) and always say that a relationship is measured far less by when things are good than when things are bad. This was a bad moment. Once everyone got past the drama and emotion, we started on a new approach. The revised approach of removing some of the stain led to a weathered look for the door (sealed). Once we all agreed on the new look, the team spent all of the necessary time to create a work of art. I'm not overstating it - it's a work of art. With no additional charge, the problem was made into something better than the original plan. This is a sign of someone who cares about the craft, cares about commerce, and cares about his customers. It's beautiful. Plus, my toddler loves him!

It was an older bathroom so they had a hard time finding some of the tiles but they did a very good job. They cleaned up after themselves and we are pleased with the results.

Glenn came over to look at the work and give us an estimate. We scheduled the dates to have he work done. The crew actually came at the time when they were supposed to be there. They started on the flooring in the upstairs storage areas. They also worked on the closet in the MBR and began to build the shelving in the garage. Throughout the process Glenn checked on the quality of work to make sure it was done to his high standards. On the final day of the job, the storm door was installed. Since the door it was going over wasn't straight, they had to build up the outside of the door so it would have a tight seal. (And Glenn also picked up the door for us as no additional charge.) Glenn also worked on finishing the shelving in the garage. Now here are the extras that make The Happy Handyman so special and such an outstanding company. Most other companies would have built the shevling and then have the homeowner put things in the right spots. But Glenn knew that the reason we wanted the shelving built was so I could put my car in the garage instead of trying to find a spot on the street. So instead of waiting for my husband to put all of the stuff in the garage on the shelves (which would have taken weeks to happen), Glenn did it. He not only put up the shelving, he organized the entire garage at no extra charge! Then he guided me to drive my car into the garage so I could fit it in safely. (I was too nervous to do it on my own because I was afraid I might hit something.) And then to make sure that I knew exactly how far to move my car into the garage, he hung a tennis ball at the place where I needed to stop the car so I could close the garage door without damaging my car. I have worked with other handymen and I can honestly say that there is absolutely no comparison between them and Glenn. Glenn shines head and shoulders above them. And to put the topping on the cake, Glenn is a really nice guy. He is very personable and he now seems like a friend to husband and me. I only wish that I knew about the Happy Handyman Service before I joined Angies List. I would have saved a lot of money and gotten much better quality work with Glenn than with other services I have used. In the future, whenever we need any kind of handyman work done around our house, the only person we will allow to do it is Glenn, The Happy Handyman. I can honestly and enthusiastically say that if you want a true professional, who does excellent work at great prices, Glenn is the person for you. You will be very glad you called him.

They came in a timely manner. Enclosed the area to prevent dust for going all over the house. Laid down runner to protect the floors. After the job was completed, they ensured they carpet was cleaned. I was very pleased with their work. I will hire them again for future projects.

We are very grateful for the excellent work done by Glenn and his crew. We were in a time crunch trying to get our hope in shape for Christmas and Glenn came and got the things done in just a few days. The work performed exceeded our expectations--Glenn went above and beyond to make sure our bathroom would be beautiful and functional. We are so happy to have found a company with excellent workmen whom we can trust to do a good job and then clean up well, too! Thank you, Glenn! We hope to have you back again in the spring or summer--we always have more projects in mind!

Glenn spent a lot of time with me going over what items I needed fixed and suggested additional items that could be fixed in conjunction with the major repairs. I took him up on most of his suggestions, but he never pressured me to do anything in addition to the repairs I originally called him in for. His work, as well as that of his assistant David, was exceptionally thorough and remarkably neat. Despite the fact that they might be coming back the next morning to continue a task where they left off, they always cleaned up as if the job were done and stowed their equipment in the truck so as not to inconvenience me with miscellaneous brushes, paint and ladders hanging around. The wallpaper removal and repainting of the upstairs and downstairs hallways was a big job and they accomplished it in a very short time and I was very pleased with the result. Glenn was very busy at the time and was running several jobs at once. He had explained this to me when we started and I was fine with having him and his crew there for a few days and then not be around for another few while they worked someplace else. As I mentioned above, the indoor work was accomplished in ony a few days. The outdoor work went on over a period of a few weeks which didn't bother me in the least because it did't interfere with my daily life and because Glenn kept me updated on when he would be back and what he would be accomplishing when he did arrive. I'm already planning on new round of repairs/renovations and I hope the Glenn will be able to fit me into his schedule.

He was completely over talking the job he said he was going to do. When I tried contacting him about doing the job, he never got back to me.

They were awesome! Glen took care of the items as though they were for his own home. He pointed out numerous situations that might need addressing, and tried to make sure all his ideas were cost-effective and RIGHT. For example, he was the only contractor who was able to save my sloping metal fence by straightening it out - all the others said it had to come down, but only Glen knew how to straighten it! With other items, too, he thought out of the box and saved me some money while doing the job correctly and well. He called when the job was done to ask for my feedback. What a refreshing concept! When I mentioned one item not done as I had thought it would be, he came back and reworked it to my total satisfaction - and then some! What a great company. Glen is really a master at his craft. I will definitely ask him to return to do some additional work and have already referred him to my friends !!

Happy Handyman was prompt in giving me an estimate. Since mine was a minor roof work , I had lot of no shows from other roof repair shops. I send an email with pictures of the damage and he gave me an estimate. Then, as scheduled, he came to do the measurements and took off the existing hanging piece of roof siding. He came in after a week to put in the new siding piece. No issues.. !!

I originally called another company to do the job and received an estimate. I had a giant hole or cutout in the drywall in my ceiling due to a pipe leak from my upstairs bathroom down into my family room. I also got leaks in another part of the family room due to roofing problems. I called someone to fix those leaks, but found out that after they had supposedly fixed the leaks, the roof started leaking again. Soon after the estimate, I began to get more leaks in my ceiling and wanted the roofing company to come back and check it out. After the roofing company came back and fixed the problem, I decided to get another estimate for the drywall and painting. I called Happy Handyman and made the appointment. The owner explained that he could begin the job quickly and finish within a few days. I accepted the price and I am very pleased with the way the entire room looks. It does not look like I have ever had a problem and you can't tell where the giant cutout of drywall is in my ceiling made by the plumber. The job was well done by the two men of Happy Handyman, and there was complete clean up of the room and all of the furniture removed was placed back in its proper place. I love the work that was done in this room and I would definitely hire this company again.

We are extremely happy with this service. They always do an excellent job. They are very conscientious. Glen is always there at any time to answer any questions we may have, and always seems to want to do the best job he can for us. We have used this service several times over the last four years, and they have always done a great job for us. We wouldn't want to use anyone else.

Excellent. Arrived as scheduled to inspect project, came back as scheduled to do the work. Workmen were courteous and efficient. Cleanup was thorough and all debris was removed from premises. Price was reasonable, given materials and labor involved. I have used this company at least 5 or 6 times and will continue to do so. Owner followed up 1 week later to be sure I was satisfied wth work.

Glenn of the Happy Handyman Service was so helpful. His guidance and advice saved the day with regards to my numerous home improvement / kitchen remodel projects being done. I had sheet rock and tile removed and new walls built, as well as bead board installed. Many other improvements, including an exterior door installation which had some significant wood rot repair performed in the existing structure, also had insulation added to the kitchen and had some minor electrical work done. Glenn also gave me solid advice on how to continue some of the projects I plan to do myself, like a kitchen back splash. His crew of Pete and Dave really went above and beyond to make sure everything was done properly. Dave really hit a home run with me by being so meticulous and concerned with getting things done just right. I highly recommend them and will be using them again in the future as needed.

Glen and his team are very professional and good at what they do. Glen showed up at our house very soon after our initial call and gave us an estimate. Once work began, everything was completed in a timely manner. We were very pleased with Glen's work and appreciated how he and his team cleaned up after themselves. Besides the beautiful work, we could hardly tell they were there! Glen always kept in close contact with us. If he wasn't able to show up as planned, he made sure to email and let us know when we could expect him and never left us guessing. We are looking forward to having Glen do more projects for us in the future and would definitely recommend him to others; in fact, our neighbor is interested in having Glen do some projects at his house.

Glenn did a good job. He finished when he said he would and even did a few things that he felt needed to be done to make the job look good.

I thought it was a little high, so went with a different company. They were thorough and came prepared, though.

The work was done well and completed as promised within 90 minutes. Glen was professional and personable and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Good experience. We contacted Glenn Murdock after reading all the positive reviews from previous customers. He came to give us an estimate, and we knew from his extensive knowledge on decking and construction that this was the person we wanted for the job. We felt his estimate was extremely fair. We needed our deck powerwashed and finished, however Glenn noticed that we had several steps which required additional support but most important was his observation of a column under the deck which needed replacing. The previous homeowner decided to cut corners and install it himself. His brother Scott and crew arrived on time to begin supporting the compromised areas.He called us daily to give us updates, or to simply tell us he was on our property. One evening we noticed that the first coat of the deck finish was turning yellow and we panicked ! We called Scott, and he arrived wihin 30 minutes ( he was having dinner ). He immediately identified the problem, a mixing error by the person at the paint store. Scott looked me in the eye and said, " I will fix this and you will love your deck". Within a day, you never could have guessed it even happened. Thank you Scott !! We love our deck and so do our neighbors.. Going forward, there is only one company we will use for all home repairs... Glen came for estimate on time. Gave good price. Was in communication with us prior to job and kept us up to date with date changes (due to bad weather). On project start date, Glen arrived early in the morning. All work performed in the most professional manner. And the best part.........no surprises when the bill came due. Amount was true to estimate. All work completed (plus he went above and beyond in certain areas at no extra cost) on time. We will definitely use Glen agan....and recommend him highly. Sy and Dianne
