Description of Work: Representa tive said that he thought we should consult with a plumber because the problem appeared to be in the sewer system rather than being a need for basement waterproofing. Very Knowledgabe and provessional...and he was right!

Description of Work: Put in a French Drain and sump pump to stop water leaking into my basement.

Description of Work: Our basement started flooding about six months ago practically out of the blue. After making some changes on our own(new gutters, dirt, etc), we reduced the problem but never solved it. We received our quote from Select. Jason was knowledgeable and helped us determine what we really needed. They started the job on time which included demo of the walls, ceilings, etc. Theyfound some structural damage which they then quoted me on the repair. We proceede since we wanted all the basement issues resolved. They stayed late to complete that days work and arrived on time the next day to get the job done. Since Thanksgiving we have had some pretty significant rain and our basement is bone dry! The only thing i have to call about is the sump pump has an alarm which we dont understand yet. Overall our family is happy to be getting our basement back- once I find a new contractor on Angie's List!

Description of Work: Estimator came but did not really know what needed to be done. So he said he'd have his boss come. Didn't hear from him for weeks so did not proceed with them.

Description of Work: Mike was a pleasure to work with. He and his crew did a fantastic job. They were efficient, neat and clean. When they were done, I couldn't even tell they had been there. I have not had any water in my basement since they installed the french drain and new sump pump.

Description of Work: Patched and repair concrete block and Painted floor and walls, installed 4 basement windows, new sump pump and marine battery backup, de-humidifier. |My only complaint: they delayed one day because of weather. We said everything needed to be done and dry by Friday. The floor man could not meet the new schedule. The floors were not dry by the time we had to move stuff back in. Give yourself plenty of time to let the paint cure.

Description of Work: Got the promo for waterproofing inspection. Got a pretty good pitch to their service to install sump pump in basement plus wall treatment. Seemed too quick to sell me the package but it made sense based on the problem at hand and the package being offered. Price was much higher than I expected but I have nothing to compare to.

The sales person DJ was very professional, explaining everything, no pressure, and a competitive price. | |The work was done quickly, the staff was pleasant and careful. The finishing and the clean up was very well done. I would recommend Select Basement to my friends!

Description of Work: We used the "Big Deal" from Select Basement Waterproofing Inc for waterproofing the basement.

Description of Work: We requested to learn what could be done to prevent water seepage since we had a new sewer line and the earth next to the house was excavated. The representative did not appear very confident but had suggested a trench and sump pump. We got a reasonable estimate and time frame then we asked for a call back in a week, We usually ask the company to call back when we think they are not very interested. The company never returned called back.

Description of Work: I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal for "Select Basement Waterproofing" for $50.00. The offer was purported to be a complete foundation inspection and analysis. I had specfic issues with our foundation which were pointed out to the technician who completed the inspection. What I got for $50.00 was the same sort of estimate that I received for no charge from two other companies. I complained to Angie"s List that there was no value in the BIg Deal and got blown off by a standard issue form reply with no refund or follow up action. All the people I dealt with at "Select Basement Waterproofing" were professional, punctual and otherwise very good. I just did not like the fact that I paid for an inspection that others provided at no charge. Joe Nothwang

Description of Work: Select representative walked around my yard, looked at basement and suggested I purchase a water pump in the basement closet. Also provided an estimate of $2600 for a water pump and water power backup. Obviously, I could have obtained a free estimate from any number of contractors without the expense of the "BIG DEAL.

Description of Work: The guy came just to promote his $1800 dehumidifier. He pressed the start button on each sump pump, which I could have done myself. We did not receive the service promoted by Angie's List at all. In fact, I have been dissappointed across the board. I paid to join to get the name of an above ground pool installer and it's been 2 months, yet I still haven't found one! Not a happy customer! :-(

Description of Work: I used Select to put in my french drain, sump pump and back up battery system in 2010 and I have been completely satisfied and happy with them. DJ who originally advised us and was the foreman on the job was great. My had goes off to Todd Weber who is the service manager, he services the entire system with the up most care and concern for his customers. He is professional, very through and patient. Because of my experience with DJ and Todd I would highly recommend Select.

Description of Work: UPDATE: I had a bad scheduling experience which I have removed from my post. I spoke with DJ, the NJ Manager, on Saturday and Shannon called from their office today (Monday) to explain the reason for the scheduling problems and to offer her apologies. I accepted her explanation and rescheduled an appointment for later this week. I'm sure I will be posting and sharing my experiences with Select in the near future.

Description of Work: Company did not seem knowledgeable enough about homes built as much as 100 years ago ( ouir case). We recommend American A-1 Water proofing located in Haledon, NJ. They were more knowledgeable in this case.

Description of Work: They were a no show. Had an appointment for an estimate on 4/5, after not showing up I called, they said they had it down for the next day. Ok, I said, maybe I wrote it down wrong, we rescheduled for next day at 1pm. After waiting 'till 2:30 I called, left a voice message. Never got called back, sent an email, never got a response.
