 + -1 moreThe team at Revita Rugs has come through splendidly for us. In an effort to clean and repair 5 antique carpets, four 18th century Aubussons and one 19th century Savonnerie, we interviewed several companies. Hamid from Revita impressed with his knowledge and sophistication, having trained and worked in antique carpet restoration in Europe. All our interactions with the company from start to finish of the job have been prompt, professional and beyond reproach. A very large carpet had to be repaired on site and Christina came with her tools to do this. Special natural pads were used under the carpet so as not to damage them. A special anti microbial, anti dust mite treatment was added. Colors are now more vivid. I understand only natural methods were used, including Australian lanolin. We thank Hamid for his expertise in helping preserve these objects.
Description of Work: Carpet cleaning repair + new pads. Both on site and off site. New backing.

 + -1 moreThey did a wonderful job. Repairs are costly and cleaning is expensive but my antique rugs never looked so good. And, I cannot find the areas that were repaired - they did such a good job of repairing.

 + 0 morethey picked up the rug at an agreed to time, gave me a quote for the "deep washing" and did the work. they sent me before and after photos of the rug and explained that if we wanted to rug to be perfect, they could re-dye some of the background by hand for an additional charge. we decided to take the rug and try it at home before deciding on further work. they delivered and installed the rug and we are delighted with it as is. it is so much cleaner and brighter and the stained areas look fine in our light and furniture environment. they do good work and are very easy to deal with, tiffany was our contact person and she did a great job of working with us.

 + 0 moreThey did a great job. They provided an estimate based on sizes and photos, came promptly to pick them up, and then provided the exact cost once they saw the actual rugs and their condition. They were prompt on delivery, and would have helped place all the rugs, but our apartment wasn't ready for that yet. The rugs look great-colors are much brighter. The only downside was the cost. It cost as much to clean some of the rugs as they cost new to buy. But overall I was very satisfied and would recommend them!
Description of Work: Cleaned 6 rugs, and repaired the edge of an older oriental rug.

Description of Work: Repaired and cleaned an antique silk Chinese rug that had significant damage and wear. The result was nothing short of amazing. The rug looks as fresh as it did when we obtained it thirty years ago. While not inexpensive, we would use this company again in a heartbeat.

Once at the warehouse, I received an email with photos of the rugs in the condition received and a preliminary estimate of the cost. When they returned the rugs the experience was just as excellent and professional.
Description of Work: RevitaRugs cleaned and debugged two large, hand woven silk/wool rugs and one smaller area rug. Both came back looking amazing.

 + 0 moreThe rugs were picked up when promised and returned one week later. They came back to us loftier, plusher and more vibrant, with REALLY white fringe. Super job; we will definitely use this service again in the near future. Our only negative comment (and this was in no way a big problem) is that we had not heard from RevitaRugs in several days regarding the status of the rugs--we had to contact them to see when they would be returned. It just so happened they were delivered the same day we called.

Rugs were picked up and delivered. Service was top notch. Highest recommendation. Revita's cleaning and restoration of rugs is impressive and unique.

Description of Work: A little more expensive than traditional cleaning but we were very happy with the result - the soft rugs and the relative lack of chemicals used. Sam Karmanchi, in VA, was very courteous. Getting the rugs out of the house and back into the house is an issue worth exploring before you clean -- those rugs are heavy!!

 + 0 moreI had used these guys before when I first moved here late last year, they cleaned 2 rugs with pet problems for me. I gave them to my son and his wife, the rugs were too big for my apartment here. I then bought a brand new modern cream color rug for myself, and unfortunately a guest dropped some red wine right in the middle of the rug during the holidays. Not remembering the name of this company and misplaced my receipt, I searched Angie's list and Google Viscose rug. Their name came up and sounded familiar. Sure enough my info was there in their computer and they said they specialize in viscose. I was still skeptical they could get the stain out and a bit of drive to drop off, but I wanted my rug back right-away. I have to say I am shocked with the result, It looks perfectly clean and even feels softer to my bare feet than before! I dropped my rug on the 6th, and picked it up on the 8th. I highly recommend these guys, they worked miracle with my cream rug. Incidentally, I had called other rug cleaners for price shopping, they basically told me to kiss my viscose rug goodbye, there is no way to clean the wine stain!!!!

 + 0 moreI have to say I've used at least five specialty carpet cleaners in NYC over the years, and Revita really stood out on all attributes. They couldn't have been nicer, more responsive and accommodating but, the proof is that the rug they cleaned has a new vibrancy we haven't seen in a long time--not at all artificial but restorative to what it used to look like. We are delighted with the quality of the cleaning and with the service provided.
Description of Work: They thoroughly cleaned a valuable oriental carpet that had pet stains and pet odors embedded in the fibers; in addition, they cleaned the yellowing fringe and supplied us with a new pad.

 + 0 moreI was attending a architectural trade show and this rug cleaning company had a booth explaining their offering of a natural rug cleaning services. I spoke to Ms. Azita Goldman who was manning the booth about their cleaning process and services. After hearing her excellent sales pitch, she inquired about the company I had used in the past. I mentioned the name. and she replied that her company was much better and that my well known company was not actually doing the work, but was sending my rugs to another company to do the work.....( I have since found out this not t be true) Anyway, after several unreturned calls to Ms. Goldman and finally speaking to their customer service, they came right away and picked up my rugs for this natural cleaning process and returned them in a god cleaned condition. However, upon the return of my rugs, these non professional furniture movers were in a hurry to leave my home. I noticed right away after they had left they had cause a large scratch and dent in my dining room on my hardwood floors exactly where they had placed my sofa. I telephoned the company with in 3 minutes after the crew left and complained to customer service what just happened to my floor. I was rudely told by the customer service rep that they were not in the hardwood floor business and that they were sorry, period. I then took a picture my floor and emailed it to their contact on their website. I RECIVED AN EMAIL TELLING ME THAT THEY WOULD REPAIR THE FLOOR. After several weeks or promises and of no show appointments, I finally just gave up on this company! I therefore contacted a professional hardwood floor company and had them make the repair as needed, which ended up being a big repair job.

 + -1 moreI was looking for a reliable company to clean my wool rug. It had carving and hand knotted tassels. I saw an ad for Revitarug which said they are experienced cleaning oriental and other expensive rugs. I was very happy with this experience. They were polite, helpful and specific on the telephone. They answered my questions and quoted a price. When the men came to pick up my rug, they put on booties and gloves to handle it! Communication was excellent. My rug was returned again by 2 men in the booties. They laid it out for me. It looked great- clean and like new! The price was less expensive than many ot the other local places I called. I highly recommend!

Description of Work: A couple of months ago, I purchased two hand-knotted rugs from a seller on Craigslist. The woman I bought the carpets from told me that she had just had the rugs cleaned. However, both carpets had a chemical smell that I found objectionable. Within days of my purchase, I heard an ad on WOR710 Radio for Revita Rugs. I checked out their website and was impressed by the "green" process they utilized to sanitize and condition fine oriental carpets. I noticed that they were having a summer special with reduced rates so I called to set up an appointment to pick up one of my rugs for cleaning. The Revita professionals arrived at my house right on time. They were wearing white gloves and put booties over their shoes before stepping into my home! The Revita reps answered all of my questions regarding their company. I discovered that Revita closely examines the rugs and documents any issues that need to be addressed. Additionally, they photograph carpets both before and after cleaning. At first, I wanted to give them only one of the two rugs to determine whether I would be pleased with the results of their high-tech cleaning system. They sensed my apprehension as a new customer and made me an offer I literally couldn't refuse. The Revita reps explained that I wouldn't have to pay for cleaning of the second carpet if I were unhappy in any way with the results. A couple of weeks later, my rugs were returned to me. I could not believe how great they looked. The rugs were clean and, thankfully, odor-free. Even more than that, the rugs had a new sheen and a softness to them that wasn't there when I bought them. I'm so glad that I decided to try Revita Rugs. I would highly recommend Revita to anyone who has fine carpets that need cleaning.
