I wanted to get the vents / ducts cleaned in a home that I just bought ... saw the coupon / special for $80.00 and thought it would be a good idea... What I did NOT realize that the specula only covered a certain # of vents / ducts and that MY home would cost $500.00. That is a Big difference in price - and I felt kind of cornered into doing it. Were the vents cleaned? Yes ... have I seen MANY other better offers SINCE doing this ? Yes .... I should have shopped around better - next time I will not use Angies List as my FINAL go to ... I will shop around better.

I don't remember the details since this took place in March 2012. Hard to judge how well the job was done, but no complaints.

Our location is NJ. We bought our house 1 year ago and were concerned that such a service might not have ever been performed on this 9 year old house (with some deferred maintenance issues). Especially since our neighbor had a dryer vent fire recently. The service provider was polite and efficient. The process does leave lint on the ground below the exterior vent, but you can remove it if it bothers you. I did not and it kind of disappeared into the grass. He also reassured me that we had only an average amount of lint build up. Nothing excessive or dangerous. I obtained this service through The Big Deal coupon offer. Would use this provider again.

They were great, we were very happy with their service.

They were just so-so. They weren't worth what I paid.

We purchased their big deal and the same day I received a call to set up our appointment. They called the night before to confirm and while on the phone they told me there was an earlier time slot available. We took the earlier time slot. WE were given a window of arrival between 12 and 2. They showed up with 3 men at 1:30 and immediately went to work. They cleaned out 20 vents and 13 returns and 3 trunks. They also cleaned our dryer vent. With the 3 of them it took about 1 1/2 hours. They cleaned up everything and were extremely polite and clean with their work.

This company had a special on Angies List. I think what I spent was a little more than I listed, but the price overall was very good for "whole house carpet cleaning." The job was just OK, which is why I rated it a "B." I have had other companies clean my carpets with a much brighter outcome. I had asked the serviceman to go over one of my very large area rugs, which would constitute a room on the main floor. He told me he would; but after he left, I checked the large area rug, and it had not been cleaned. If you're looking for just an average job for an excellent price, you might want to go with this company.

Purchased Angie's List Big Deal for $99 chimney cleaning. Tech spent 10 minutes and said he was done. Noticed soot on the bottom and log grate but tech said cleaning doesn't include that. Had to beg him to clean the chimney floor so he used a shopvac. Then he was gone. A few weeks later I start smelling leftover smoky smells from the chimney. Not satisfied with this deal at all.

I was scheduled for the end of the day and he came with a huge bag that was filled to the top. I asked him what was in the bag and he said it was from the previous jobs. I asked him how he was going to clean the air ducts and he said that he was going to put high pressure are into the duct to force the dust out, however, the small wand they put in the ducts was not effective like I expected. They also indicated that they were going to put a rotary device in the ducts, but he ended up not doing that. They also needed to use my electricity and they had to pull a huge extension cord through my home.

Can't tell how well it was cleaned as you can't see it, but everything was cleaned up afterward.

I used the coupon that the company provided. My expectations were that more extensive clean up of the vents and ducts would take place, since the pipes are wide and an extensive network of these pipes exist within the house. I would not have minded incurring additional cost for a more extensive clean-up. I am not knowledgeable of what is warranted. However, as a reasonable person, I feel that the services rendered were superficial and not effective. I cannot prove it. The whole approach did not make too much sense to me. I expected long and large brushes to be pushed through the pipes to ensure that no dirt or allegans are left behind, similar approach to a chimney sweep. If the real clean-up process was accurate and effective, then the cost vs. services rendered can be tested. The associates showed up on time and were very presentable. They were extremely courteous.

They showed up to my house late. The price of the Big Deal was supposed to be 79.99 turned to be over $200 to do the job. I have had honest people come out to my house before to have the air duct cleaned, and this company was saying that I needed other services to be completed.

I found them on Angie’s List. I was very happy with them. They told me that my chimney was fine. The guy was great. I was so happy with him. He was flexible in giving me an appointment time. He came out at 04:00 p.m. on a Saturday, which I thought was amazing. He was very professional. He told me when I did not need a service. I wanted my chimney cleaned because I had converted it from wood-burning to gas. I thought I should probably have it cleaned. He looked at it and told me that it was clean. He told me that since it was gas I did not need it cleaned. He could have just done that job and charged me for it, but he was very honest. He told me that my dryer vent was clogged up and I should have it cleaned up at least twice a year. I do run the dryer vent at least 2-3 times a day. So, I know he was not overselling me on that. I am sure he was on target with that. I would recommend him and I would use him in the future.

The service person arrived on time, and after I signed the order for him to begin work, he immediately started with the job. The equipment that he used was clean and in excellent condition. He was focused on the work that he was doing, and proceeded with diligence and expertise. He was careful when he was cleaning out the registers and returns throughout the households. When he was finished, he was organized about presenting the finishing paperwork. It would be great if all tradesmen were as professional and courteous as Vanya.

I WAS NOT impressed. The first problem....a huge language barrier. Not sure what language the technician spoke, but I could not understand him very well at all. Second...he only moved light furniture. I fully understand & appreciate that. However, the light furniture pieces that he did move, he DID NOT replace. I had to ask him to help me move my dining table back. He did not replace the furniture in ANY of the rooms. Third....there was a stain on the dining room floor, which he explained would not come up. He didn't even try to get it up. I asked him if he had spot treater & said it wouldn't work. When he was cleaning the family room, I got my Resolve carpet cleaner, sprayed the stain, and scrubbed a bit & the stain came right up. When he saw that the stain was gone, he tried to tell me that the stain would come back when the carpet dried. I guess I should give kudos to Resolve foam carpet cleaning. Fourth...he did not use any deodorizer. When I asked him he said something about using green products because of my cat. What does that have to do with using a deodorizer??? Fifth....the carpet took FOREVER to dry. It was really wet when he finished. Sixth...he talked on his cell phone a majority of the time while cleaning my carpet. Call me anal, but I think he should have paid more attention to my carpets than his cell phone. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! When he left, I went upstairs and noticed several stains still in the hallway. Also, I have a plant on my hallway landing that I realized he did not move, so it was VERY dirty & dusty in that area. Although the price was ok, I would not recommend this service to anyone. I WAS NOT pleased & am regretful about using this service. I would rather pay a little more for better quality.

Well done job, courteous, polite and thorough. Cleaned up after himself and completed the job to satisfaction in a reasonable amount of time.

I'm completely satisfied with the service that was done in my mother's house. ProClean cleaned our air ducts and dryer vent. Technician was on time, he was polite and respectful for our house. He was uniformed and wore shoe covers. All the question that I had were answered and the service was performed within 2 or 2 and a half hours. Technician cleaned all the grills as well as inside of each vent and return. I wanted to see how much dust would come out and I checked the collection bag in the beginning and at the end. I was really amazed when I saw that it was around 15 pounds of dust and debris at the end. I could never imagine that we might have so much dust inside of the house, by the way the air ducts were never cleaned before. Greg was very professional and left no mess in the house. When Greg finished with air ducts, he cleaned the dryer vent as well. It was at additional cost, but it was also worth it. My mother had a problem with her vent 'cos it was clogged with lint and there was a bird nest outside. Greg managed to take the bird nest out with some eggs inside of it and he placed it on the nearby tree. That was impressive. As it turned out, the dryer vent was full of water, so it was a challenge. The work was completed within 40 min and now my mother just need to run 1 drying cycle for the clothes, instead of repeating it 2-3 times with no result. Overall I had a great experience with ProClean and I would recommend this company

Before purchasing the deal on Angie's List I called ProClean as I did not know if the $79 deal or the $199 deal would be most afforable for my needs. Since we had 18 vents, 7 returns, and 2 ducts in our house it turned out the the $199 deal was much more cost effective. I didn't have the details of the vents, returns, etc. when I called so the representative stated that rather than purchase on Angie's List the technician, Vanya, would take a look at the details once he got here and we could go with whatever package made sense. While on the phone we agreed to a 3-5pm window and at about 4:30pm I received a call that the technician was running late and would be here around 5:20 - 5:30pm. Although not ideal, the call was very much appreciated and the technician arrived around 5:15. He estimated the work would take 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete. This turned out to be fairly accurate. Having read some reviews I knew that the technician for some others did not use the agitation tool and just used air pressure along with the negative pressure (vacuum) to clean the vents. When he started the do the same in my house I asked about it and he explained that the vents he was working on were plastic so he could not use the agitation tool. When he worked on the vents downstairs that were metal he did use the agitation tool. Overall things seemed fine. I was not entirely impressed with the effort as when using the air pressure he really only got a few feet into the vent. That may be a limitation of the vent being plastic though, so I can't fault him for that unless I am informed otherwise. For a 19 year old house that never had the ducts cleaned and had a prior owner that did very little in the way of maintenance I was surprised by how little dirt and debris was removed and in the vacuum bag. I can't speak to whether the cleaning was ineffective or if the ducts were just not that dirty so I'm going to assume the latter. A few issues that I experienced: 1. There was a hole in the vacuum bag as a 4 or 5 square foot area around the vacuum bag was covered in dust and dirt. The technician did use his shop vac to clean it up after I pointed it out, but there is still some dirt there after all was said and done. 2. The technician poked holes in the return vent in the basement (in addition to the access holes for the vacuum) and used the air pressure tool to try to get some additional debris out. He forgot to tape the holes, which fortunately I caught because I watched him make the holes. When he stated he was done and asked me to pay I requested that he first tape over the holes, which he did. I would have been extremely frustrated if I had found that after the fact as I imagine most would. I recommend that anyone using a contractor make sure they pay attention to what they are doing so that things like this are not a surprise. As a whole I feel that the work was okay. Could it have been worse? I supposeso, but I also feel it could have been better. My questions were answered, but there was very little in the way of explanation unless I asked direct questions.

It did not work at all. They called and left me a voicemail asking if I could move my appointment from Saturday to Sunday. I accepted. Later they called and asked me to move back to my original Saturday appointment. I asked them what if they call back and what to change again, they said I could cancel the Big Deal and I agreed to cancel and they lady said okay and hung up on me. She was very rude. When I called again to ask for credit, I left a voicemail and never heard back from them.

We bought the Big Deal of 199 for carpet cleaning for the whole house. George was our service guy. He was punctual, very professional, and did a great job. He took his time with our entire house (we have wall-to-wall carpeting throughout) and pointed out a few problem spots that he went over in detail with the wet vac. One thing I did not like, though, was how long it took for the carpeting to dry out. We were told it would take about six hours if we turned up the heat to about 80 degrees. Well, we did so and left the house for about 12 hours. When we got back, the carpeting was almost as wet as it had been when he cleaned it! We had to go to Home Depot and rent two huge fans and open all our windows to get the carpet dry. All in all, the carpets turned out very clean and we had a great experience with George.

It was a coupon that we bought. The price was reasonable. He did a little extra. He was right on time and he was professional.

They did a GREAT job.

I chose ProClean because their Angie's List listing featured a coupon, as well as an "A" rating. Vanya (the technician) was WONDERFUL. While he was well within the arrival window, he still called to give me his estimated arrival time. Once he arrived, he got to work immediately. He didn't waste a minute of his time, or mine. When he was finished, he demonstrated that the vent was completely clear, picked up and removed any loose debris, and instructed that the vent should be cleaned every two years. He was in and out in under 45 minutes. A call to ProClean in 2013 is already on my long-range planning calendar (coupon or not)!

I bought a chimney cleaning from Angie's List deals. The service rep showed up an hour after the end of the appointment window. He apologized and said his manager should have called. No Call. The service rep went about cleaning the Chimney from inside the house, he was nice enough to put down a cloth in front of the fireplace. He went about pushing the sweep up the chimney adding extenders as needed. The whole process took about 15 or 20 minutes. The cleaning from Angie's List should have included a fireplace cleaning. After he left I broke out my mag light to inspect the work. First the guy just left all the creosote in the firebox, no cleaning that up. Second, the fireplace was not cleaned at all. I marched down to the basement and broke out my wire brush and shop vac to finish what the rep had started. I spent a total of about a half hour just brushing the fireplace. I had more cleanings in my firebox then what was left by the rep. I then worked up to the chimney and could see all he did was push the brush up. There was a straight line right up the chimney, no time was spent cleaning the sides of the chimney. After I had finished the brushing, the fireplace now looks at least safe and useable. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Purchased the deal for 2 rooms through Angies list and added the stairs when the technician arrived. He arrived when scheduled and did a thorough and professional job. The carpets looked good and, more important, smelled good. The previous owners were smokers and we hoped the cleaning would eliminate the odor until we replaced the carpet. So far it has. The price was reasonable, I would use this company again and would recommend them.
