drain cleaning
+ -1 moreThey tried to unblock the drain and his equipment went about 100ft down. They came out and we filled up about 1/2 of a trash bag full of roots. He had to bring back a second machine to help unblock the line. They didn't get any roots out that time so we thought it was probably clear. He recommend putting water under pressure to try to blast the pipe. He came back the next day and put the line under pressure. It didn't seem to back up so it worked fine. He also recommend putting things down the line to help keep the roots from growing. We are please with the work that has been done thus far. The price was very fair and competitive. He was on time, and professional.
Description of Work: We were having a blockage problem from tree roots blocking out drains. We called Angie's Concierge team to help us find someone to unlock the pipe.

+ -1 moreJoe was courteous, punctual and very professional. He replaced the pipe that connected to the flush tank of a bathroom and also the flush valve (it caused the leak). He tightened the kitchen sink pipe and also replaced the cartridge of the shower in the bathroom tub. Finally, he went around the house and helped answer all our plumbing questions (about the storm drain (he helped clear it out), the pipe banging at night (since the water was running in the leaky toilet) and also advised us to never leave the garage door open in winter (since it could cause the pipes in the house to freeze)). Note that the total cost of the service includes the cost of the angieslist promotion + cost of material.
Description of Work: I had purchased the deal of 2 hour plumbing job through Angie's List. Joe was punctual, responsive to my questions and fixed all the different plumbing issues around the house.

Description of Work: our boiler (an older, ca 1990 Burham boiler) broke the weekend before thanksgiving; something wrong with the wiring/electrical box. We had a different plumber came before Sladek and they totally could not fix the problem (and charged us $450 for not fixing anything!) - Joe came the day before Thanksgiving and really helped us out big time! Because the other plumbers took the broken circuit box, Joe did not know the exact model and ended up having to take several trips to get the right part. Joe replaced the box, replaced a shorted wire and also changed a leaky valve (in under 10 mins). He was so great and responsible, and didn't leave until he fixed the problem (even though it was the day before thanksgiving and he stayed way past 5 pm!). I would totally recommend Joe to anyone who has any plumbing issues!
