Lawn Doctor

Multi-year customer of Lawn Doctor. Decided to have them power seed my lawn and was confident of the service because they advertise that "If you’re not 100% satisfied, we'll make it right. It's that simple. We’ll return at no charge or refund the full costs of your last application". NOT TRUE. I was told that there was an initial spring feeding which would fill out my lawn and a second fall feeding to make it even thicker. Paid for first feeding, extensively watered the lawn, and nothing grew. I was then told to pay for the second feeding if I wanted to have new grasss grow. Informed Lawn Doctor that I would order a second seeding and pay them after I saw new grass growing, based upon my initial negative experience. They said, "No", and obviously did not want to stand behind their advertised "100% Satisfaction Guarantee". They said the lawn wasn't watered sufficiently so I offered to show them my increased water bills for that period. I was told that it was not meaningful, "As everyone says that." I wonder how often that excuse was used in an attempt to justify their inferior service?

I live in Middletown, NJ and hired Lawn Doctor to fertilize and seed our lawn. The prices were not cheap. They did a spring weed & feed, but we still had lots of weeds. They didn't come back to touch that up. We did see slight improvement in the lawn, however. It said in the quote that it would be power seeding, putting the seed in the ground. That never happened, instead a guy showed up with a bag of seed and threw it around by hand. No power seeding. The seed didn't take everywhere even though we had our sprinklers set up to water twice daily. It was guaranteed to come up, but I had lots of bare spots and they never came back to touch them up. That was the spring planting. They were supposed to do a fall seeding, but they didn't show up to do it. I called 3 times over the past 3 months and they kept promising to come but so far nothing. Its already into November and still no seed. We paid $350 for the spring/fall seeding on top of the monthly charges, so now I want a refund for the fall seeding that never happened. We also never got a fall fertiizer treatment. I called Lawn Doctor corporate customer service, but they basically told me they can't do anything, except call him. Will definitely not hire again.

It was a contract for $153 a year for four applications. The frustrating issue was the quality, I really didn't see much improvement.

Ripoffs Hired them for one season. Completely unsatisfied.Still see weeds on my property Then I thought that I will hire someone else next season,but here's what I see.They sent me an email saying that they are again starting their good for nothing service when I was out of country and WITHOUT ME AGREEING TO IT, and started billing me, SIGNIFICANTLY MORE I only agreed for one season, but they continued the service without me agreeing . They say its for my convenience,But NO,its for their convenience TO RIP YOU OFF. NEVER HIRE THEM.

They put down what they had to put down and they left. It’s been too soon for failure.

I chose them based on their reputation.

We have a plan with them for the year. Their service is fantastic. They are a franchise.

They did a really wonderful job. They did the fertilization of the lawn, maintained it by keeping the bugs away and made it look healthy and green. They improved the health of the lawn. They were punctual, very reliable and their service was needed for my lawn but their prices have gone high. I would use them again.

I LIKE THE COMPANY AS THEY COME OUT AND JUST DO WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO. MOST OF MY NEIGHBORS ALSO USE THEM. I GOT THEIR NAME FROM A FLYER THAT THEY BROUGHT AROUND AND THEN I GOT AN ESTIMATE FROM THEM AND I HAVE USED THEM FOR THREE YEARS.

I THINK THIS COMPANY IS OKAY. THEIR PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE. THEY REALLY HELPED MY LAWN A LOT. IT LOOKS WONDERFUL NOW. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

THEY ARE VERY GOOD ABOUT SHOWING UP ON TIME. MY HUSBAND THINKS THAT THEY DO A VERY GOOD JOB. I ALWAYS GET A PROMPT RESPONSE WHENEVER I CALL THEM. THEY GAVE ME A FREE ESTIMATE AND STAYED WITHIN THE AGREED PRICE THAT WAS GIVEN US.

WE REALLY HAVE NO COMPLAINTS OR CONCERNS. THEY DO A REALLY GOOD JOB AND WE HAVE USED THEM FOR YEARS. WE WILL CONTINUE TO USE THEM BECAUSE WE TRUST THEM TO DO A GOOD JOB. I RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYONE.

ALL OF THE WORK IN DONE QUARTERLY AND I DO NOT HAVE TO CALL THEM AND REMIND THEM TO COME OUT, BUT THEY NEVER SHOW UP EXACTLY ON TIME. I THINK THAT THEY AREN'T VERY PROFESSIONAL BECAUSE THEY NEVER COME TO THE DOOR TO TALK TO ME. THEY ARE RATHER EXPENSIVE
