We thought we had a leak and but actually the vents for our dryer had become clogged and the condensation from the dryer vent was leaking into our ceiling. They had to take all that out and redo it. It was very expensive. They were here for a very long time that day. They had to cut into the dry wall in some places.

they did a great job. No issues. Would use them again.

Working with them was a great experience and they did a great job. I actually got a good deal on the installation and they finished the job in one morning. There was some evidence that there were issues with my furnace with the previous owner, and they were very helpful in investigating that. I just signed a service contract with them and I would recommend them!

Called on Monday and got an appt. on Tuesday AM. Prompt and extremely professional. Thoroughly checked the entire system to diagnose the problem and to be sure they weren't missing something. They let me know exactly what they checked and where the problem was prior to fixing it. Total time at home about 1 1/2 hours. This is my second experience with Jack Dolan & Sons and I will NOT call anyone else for plumbing or AC. Have every confidence in them that the job is done right.

There quick response kept me from having more water damage and they called a company to come and help me with the damage.

It was less complicated than he originally thought, so I saved about $75 from the original quote. I rated price "good" because all plumbing is costly, but I think they charged a fair rate. The work went smoothly, barely noticed him in the house while I was working from home the floor above. Covered the carpet near the doorway to basement to avoid any mess. Cleaned up good as new. Took about 2 hours. I did not rate "quality" because it was only a short time ago. There has been some rain, but not very heavy. If my basement stays dry after a big storm, I would say "excellent".

I consider Dolan to be the "gold standard" in renovation and service in the area. Their work is excellent. Their teams are professional and skilled (and I think we saw 2/3 of the staff come through our house at one point or another! it was a long project). I competitively bid this project in the winter and they were the mid price. I think that had I bid it later in the year the price would have been higher. Like most contractors, change orders come at a premium, and there were certainly no freebies. The quality of the carpentry, in particular, was excellent - but so was the plumbing. Mike Dolan came out to instruct his guys how he wanted the waste lines run for the bathroom, for example, and I was really impressed how he laid it all out with a great deal of ease, even though it was a complex run. Also impressed that he took the time to do that and not just have his field team improvise. There were a few issues along the way, as there are with any project that spans many months. The incorrect grout was used on the tile in the bathroom. They offered a few options for resolution and we attempted one of them (staining the grout), which didn't go as hoped. They dug out the stained grout, replaced it, and then provided a credit for the error in the cost of the job. Mike did offer to remove all the tile and re-do everything, which I thought really said something, but we opted to keep our timeline closer to in-tact and just keep what was installed. It just meant having white grout rather than silver, which wasn't the end of the world. In the end, the overall finished product was just what we wanted and it was incredibly high quality. We could have hired a cheaper contractor, but I don't think that the final outcome would have been anything like what we got. We also had the assurance knowing that they've been around for a long time, are very accessible, and will likely continue to be in business for a long time. That gave us good peace of mind knowing that they'd be there to serve us in the future. Oddly enough, we actually sold our home about six months after the job was finished. We weren't planning to, and it was particularly painful to part with such a recent, deep renovation! But the house we moved to had been maintained exclusively by the Dolans over the years, so we had a great deal of confidence in the quality of the plumbing and heating systems and the renovations they performed. We continue to hire them for projects in our new residence and maybe one day, will undertake a similar scale renovation with them in the future.

The tubing that expelled condensed water from the pump (attached to the home heating furnace) was outside the house and had become frozen. So water was not pumping out and the furnace would not turn on. The tubing was removed and redirected to the sump pump reservoir. This solved the problem temporarily. In a couple of days, the problem recurred. A technician arrived as promised and detected a water leak in a pipe leading to the condenser pump. This pipe was replaced and sealed. Everything was done professionally. The furnace has been working fine since.

. I went with another plumber for the replacement and I got a much better deal with no problems.

This all happened about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. The hot water wouldn't turn off in our shower. We shut down the water to the house and attempted some home repairs to no avail. Then we called Jack Dolan & Sons. Mike Dolan called back about 30-40min after the call. He was helpful and told us over the phone how we could turn the water on to the house, while shutting off only the hot water. He said he didn't have anyone available at for Sunday evening, but could get to us on Monday. That didn't work for us, so we said thank you and moved on. We called left a message for another plumber and waited for a call back that ultimately would never come. About 10 minutes after we called the other plumber, Mike Dolan called back and said he could have someone come our way in the next 1.5 hours. Great! Brian showed up within that window, with who I would assume was an apprentice, and had us back up and running after he rebuilt our shower handles. He had all the parts we needed in his truck and was fantastic. These guys to great work.

They either caused a gas leak (most likely) or did to let us know about an issue--however, when we called them the next day about the continuing gas smell in our basement they arranged from someone to come back to our house to see if there was a problem (and there was). Initially, I thought the smell of gas in our basement was due to how they fixed the water heater (i.e., there was temporary gas leakage) -- but the next morning we continued to smell gas in the basement. When a different technician came to our house and realized there was a problem, they fixed it. Although mistakes can happen, I find it disconcerting that the original technicians did not run the needed tests, before they leaving our home, to make certain their were no gas leak issues.

They’re professional, courteous, clean up after themselves, and they use top quality hardware. They always come early and if they don’t come early, they always call on the phone and let you know. They’re easy to reach and very accessible for any issues that you might have after the job had been done. I will recommend them highly. The pricing is expensive.

No work was performed since we could not get the unit to replicate the problem.

The kitchen sink was clogged and they had to run a line through it to fix the problem. They were prompt, very courtesy and very professional. They were very neat as well, they cleaned up after their work. I would definitely use them again in the future.

They came, they looked and they never followed up. It seems that they are very selective about the jobs they take on, This is OK but they should have at least had the courtesy to call me back and say they are not interested in doing the job.

Very professional, fast service, thorough, competent. No need to look for another vendor. Pricing in line with others in the area.

They were very good, I would rate them very highly. The price was competitive and they got it in pretty quickly. He was very professional, on time, and answered all of my questions. He answered all of my questions and did the work. If I had an electrical issue right now, I would definitely call them again.

They are not the cheapest, but they are dependable and do great work. I never have to worry about it after they come. They also great service after the sale. I would highly recommend them.

They did a beautiful job. The last time my wife called them, I was on my way home, and they were there already by the time I got there. I like them. They're great people.

Our Central AC compressor seized. Jack and Dolan's and Son's performed the troubleshooting for us and The Tech showed me how the compressor was seized by showing me electrical readings from his test equipment to the information that was posted on the AC unit itself. That was pretty satisfactory to me. Plus I was not charged for the call!! The Tech then told me to get several quotes for a new heating/ac unit. I got three quotes and JACK DOLAN's was one of them. Each quoter however were selling a heating/ac unit from a different manufacturer. Jack Dolan's was selling American Standard product's and based on reviews from other sources, I found that American Standard products got good reviews. Based on that plus the reasonable price of the units, I went with Jack Dolan. Installation was done within a day and the staff were courteous.
