Deck Guardian did an extraordinary job designing and building our deck. It's more than we even dreamed! Every employee that worked on our deck was respectful, professional, tidy, and thorough. They arrived on time every day, worked hard all day long, were focused on the job at hand and didn't waste any time. Proprietor Ion Colbasiuc went above and beyond in terms of his responsiveness and customer service. He met all our design requests and stayed within our budget. I am one of those people who always say I am going to write a review but never seem to find the time. I was so blown away by Deck Guardian, I HAD to write a raving review, they did a phenomenal job! We recently had our deck built by Deck Guardian, we had an old wooden deck and wanted to update it with a high-end composite deck. Deck Guardian just finished the job and we couldn’t be more pleased with our new deck. Ion, the project lead, really listened to our wish list during his consulting visit and delivered on every single thing we wanted, even our slide!! The team was extremely profession, punctual and always left a clean space. The job was just completed and we could not be more happy with the finished product. We have very high stands and they completely blew away our expectations, I highly recommend using this company you will not be disappointed!

I was scheduled for an estimate on Friday, March 9th, between the hours of 4 and 6pm. No one showed up nor called to inform me that they were running behind. I then called the 800 number provide in my confirmation email and the dispatcher's attitude was unhelpful/disinterested. She took my information and said someone would call me, that evening, but getting that far was like pulling teeth. It's now Sunday and no one has reached out to reschedule the estimate or to apologize for missing the initial appointment. And yes, I made my appointment via the website provide by the contractor. If this service is questionable, in the sense that they do not get all estimate requests, then that option should be removed from their website. This was a very poor first impression. Very disappointed b/c their reviews on Angie's list were mostly great and their work looked fantastic.

We found this company on this site after getting three quotes from other local companies. Deck guardian was rated really well and their quote was the best one. After the sales rep emailed us their quote, we then met with Ion who managed the project until completion. He is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to, explained everything and was always available for questions. Everything was spelled out in the contract and work started on schedule. The crew (headed by Petru) was very professional--they showed up every morning, were courteous, and cleaned up after each day. They worked efficiently and seemed to really care about the details and it shows in the quality of their work. Ion kept on top of everything and was always in touch with us. Their communications skills are amazing. We have done many renovations over the years and this company is by the far the best contractor we have dealt with, which is saying alot! We added in extra work as the project progressed (New gate, railings on retaining wall, etc.). Ion gave us a reasonable quote so we agreed. He then sent us receipts for the extra parts without our asking for them. He is very upfront and trustworthy. Highly recommend them! No headaches with the entire process; if there was any breaks in work (holidays—our project spanned Christmas and New Years, inspections, etc.), we were notified beforehand. Again, their communication skills are impeccable, we were kept apprised of the situation and they were on top of everything. Work included demolition of old structure, new trex transcend 18x20 second story screened in deck with roof with two skylights built from scratch with new electrical work (outlets, fans, recessed lights), rain escape. They provided the architect, plans, permits--everything was handled by the company.

Deck Guardian did a fantatic job! We selected Trex Select and Jon recommended colors to match our existing screened in porch. The Deck Guardian Team did a great job installing the new deck (including removing the existing deck and cleanup) and it looks great! I would definitely recommend them.

Showed up on time, took measurements, addressed my requests and provided a 3D image of our proposed deck.

Ion, the project manager and designer, was very professional. Set expectations and exceeded them in every way. The guys that work for him are not subs. They're his employees. Great. Jon and his team were professional, timely and just great. We had a few issues with subcontractors but the core team was phenomenal. Our deck looks magnificent. Not only were Deck Guardian the cheapest of the three quotes I got but Jon was also the most creative and understood my vision.

Everything was done perfectly. The stairs look great.

They did a great job. Kept us informed of the paperwork process, once started they kept to the schedule. Area was kept very clean for an outdoor project. I would not hesitate to hire tem again. Working with Ion was a pleasure

Without a hitch. The construction took about 10 working days, and the guys were here on time every morning. They worked late into the evening, usually from 9-11 hours per day. They cleaned up at the end of each day, and protected their work materials with tarps when sloppy weather was predicted for the next day. The results were spot on. The entire process, from sales and estimation through design and construction, was collegial and deferential. They handled it all from soup to nuts, including all of the paperwork with the town. The deck was pricey, but in line with other estimates. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

From the initial consult and all the way through completion, the team was great. They kept me informed of the steps in the process and any changes to the timeline. The 3d design was awesome. The trex product is superior quality to other products I've seen. The completed project looks amazing!

Jon and his team did an incredible job on our Trex Transcend deck! My wife and I met with several deck builders prior to selecting Deck Guardian. Jon consulted and guided us through several deck designs prior to the deck build and then provided regular updates throughout the entire process from start to finish. He dealt with our Township in order to obtain permits for the project which was very helpful. We have a raised deck with 9ft of of height underneath and wanted to make the space under the deck usable instead of having a gazebo in the yard. Jon and his team worked nonstop to make sure the product they delivered would satisfy us. It's easy to see imperfections on a raised deck if it's not constructed well. Jon's team did a lot of planning and created a marvelous deck with usable area under the deck. We installed the Trex RainEscape Drainage system to collect water into a gutter and keep it dry underneath. We used Trex Transcend decking material along with Trex deck lighting kits. End result was a deck worthy of being in a Trex brochure. I would strongly recommend Deck Guardian to anyone looking for a deck builder. When you're spending hard-earned money on a deck, you want to make sure it is done right. You want someone managing the process from inception to delivery and ultimately leave you satisfied.

I called Deck Guardian for an estimate to resurface my existing deck or if that was not possible to replace it. Date for the estimate was set for 6/20. The only positive thing i can say is John was on time and polite. Although they claim to offer new deck boards and railing installed to your existing frame we felt that we were definitely steered toward total deck replacement. i asked for estimate for both resurfacing and replacement. John said that he would work up the numbers and send us an email with the estimates. Well that was two weeks ago. Since then no email estimate or contact of any kind from Deck Guardian. Very unprofessional. Maybe my job was too small and not worth their time? If so John could have just told me that. In any case i'm glad i found out what Deck Guardians work ethics are before i made the potential mistake of hiring them.

Once they started, the project was finished faster than we expected. Everyone admires the new deck, and we're very happy.

I chose Deck Guardian because of the detailed explanation provided of the services to be performed, a fair price, and other good reviews I had read. I have a large garden around the deck and it was very important to me that the garden wasn't wrecked. The crew worked very quickly, yet was as careful as possible with my garden. The workmanship is excellent. I appreciate their attention to detail which meets my very high standards. I would highly recommend Deck Guardian and I would use them again.

We had a brand new trex deck installed in our backyard approximately 580 sq ft. The owner handled all permits job was started on time. The workers were so diligent and professional. The quality workmanship was superb. They were working every day sometimes in the rain. The job was completed in less than two weeks. A seamless operation and would highly recommend this company to do your deck. We plan to expand the deck next season and will be using Deck Guardian again.

Design: Platinum Trex contractors provided us very fancy layout on softwares but trust me, technology is not magic. You need to design and have discussions back and forth to come up with design you have in your mind and at the same time not drilling a hole in your pocket. Jon was really patient and made this whole process so easy. He changed design so many times without making any fuss. Best part is, he still got everything moving parellelly to get permits and so on. Jon listened to what we wanted and he provided valueable inputs to make sure it comes out even better than what we imagined. 5. No Headache: Out of all our home improvement projects, DeckGuardian was the best. Nohting went wrong. They know their business and meets or exceeds all your expectations. They are always email or phone call away and will respond even if they are very busy in peak season.
