Deck Guardian

Deck Guardian did a fantastic job in replacing my deck and it looks great. Ion and David were very helpful in guiding my wife and I with the design as well as addressing some questions I had during the construction phase. Finally, the township building inspector mentioned to me that he has never had any issues with them and considered them to be top three for deck builders in the area.

We contacted Deck Guardian in late September to inquire about having our over 20 year old two tier wooden deck resurfaced with Trex materials. Was contacted promptly by Raul who would be are project manager. He arranged to come out and inspect the deck and support structure to see if resurfacing was an option. He said the frame was in very good shape and provided a detailed work proposal a few days later. We liked the proposal and decided to hire Deck Guardian. Raul came back one more time with material samples that my wife and I reviewed and decided on. We were given a time frame of 6 to 8 weeks for job to begin, which was on the money - it started exactly 8 weeks after we signed the contract. Work crews were efficient and friendly and did an outstanding job, finished deck looks wonderful. Despite uncooperative weather they managed to complete work the day before the big snow storm last week. Have been contemplating doing this for several years, very happy we went with Deck Guardian. Fair price, excellent workmanship and responsive customer service.

I recently had my deck redone and I have to say that the entire process was painless. I am extremely satisfied with the work that was performed. The price was very reasonable and the workmanship was very professional right down to the details. I would definitely recommend this company. This review is totally unsolicited. Work was done on schedule with excellent results. More importantly and the reason I am writing this review is there was a problem a year later with some of the boards warping and moving out of place. I emailed pictures to the manager and asked what he could do. To my surprise he immediately got back to me and scheduled an appointment to come and see for himself. Upon seeing it he said this was not right, the wood was not properly dried before delivery and most importantly "Deck Guardian" would take care of it. That is the way you should select your next deck guy and all your contractors. They stand behind their work. That is why I highly recommend them to anyone and for anything they do. Neat, clean, prompt, courteous, professional gets you in the door. Standing behind your work like this keeps that door open for every.

It is a pleasure for my wife and me to provide a recommendation for Deck Guardian and their work on our Deck. We met with Ion who discussed the options for our deck, and for our desire to have a covering for the deck. After conversation and his providing a competitive bid, we went with his deck design and the recommendation of a Pergola with a movable roof! They handled the demolition of the prior deck and work on the new deck in a professional and efficient manner. It was clear to us during the construction the craftsmanship of the construction team, adding those extra touches that really highlights a quality job! The Pergola was a great suggestion, and we are enjoying the option to have total shade with the roof closed, to expanded sun and vision with it open! As with all construction projects, there were certain items that needed to addressed or replaced. Each request was received in a positive manner, and addressed immediately to our satisfaction. Ion, David and their Team were terrific in all aspects. We are very pleased with the final product, and would strongly recommend Deck Guardian for any Deck Project!

We interviewed many contractors as we were getting a big deck built. We were impressed with the professionalism so we decided to hire deck guardian. Our material was on back order, deck guardian team is phenomenal- they kept us update with status of our material, gave us options for ordering the material, ordered it, made sure it arrived on time. They did everything for us -took our survey, got engineering plans, went to township- applied for permits. Both myself and my husband work full time- we did not have any time to run around and take care of things. Also since our material was in back order- we were concerned. Whenever we called them with questions- they always called us back. They worked worked with us in customizing our deck including the railing, border for deck etc. The guys who actually built the deck were punctual, respectful and nice to work with. We would highly recommend them and will gladly hire them in the future. Believe me, I’m very hard to please- deck guardian did an impeccable job. I would highly recommend them!!

We had wanted to add a deck to our home for years. We finally were in a place to do it this year. We chose Deck Guardian and we couldn’t be happier. Every step of the process was painless, and the staff we dealt with were amazing. The first person we dealt with, Ian, came preppy and made suggestions for what our deck could look like. Ion Colbasiuc and his team did an excellent work in constructing my deck and patio in Dec 2019. They were very professional and did a clean job. Very flexible to work with. I requested him for some adjustments and extensions during the middle of the work (patio), Ion called his contractor right away and they did it as per my requirements. Deck Guardian did a very nice job installing 2 separate decks on the back of our home. We had several setbacks due to the need for a variance to the set back line and then delays due to COVID-19 shutdown. Our project lead (Ion Colbasiuc) was very helpful in keeping the project moving forward despite these challenges. The actual installation took less than 2 weeks and the crew did an excellent job. We are very happy with the decks and would definitely go back to a Deck Guardian for future projects.

We had a Trex deck completed in Jan 2020. So far so good. We have enjoyed it immensely, especially during these interesting times when we are spending more time at home due to COVID19. The deck looks beautiful!

I would like to thank Deck Guardian once more time for the job that they have done for us. The hurricane Isaias just ended and our deck withstood it like it was a nice breeze. I do know that the warranty does not cover “Acts of God” but isn’t that another good reason to praise the quality of their work? To understand my excitement one has just imagine that my deck has the 42 x 10Ft plastic roof.

Deck Guardian is a very professional and well trusted company and their price is very competitive too. They worked closely with us from estimating the project, to contracting the project to start and finish of the project. EXCELLENT! Our first contact was with Jon. He was very professional and we felt comfortable with low key sales presentation. When Jon visited our home he took time to answer all our questions and guided us through the project. He also provided us with great suggestions and choices for our project. Once we signed the contract we met with our project manager Raul. He acted in a highly professional matter and made us feel comfortable about how the project would proceed. He also always answered our calls and text in a timely matter. The construction crew were well experienced in their craft. They were very courteous and always arrived on time. Overall we were extremely pleased with the whole experience.
