Our new deck is totally beautiful -- we couldn't be happier. Jon is professional, knowledgeable, very personable, and was extremely helpful in discussing options for resurfacing our old deck. His crew did an outstanding job on the project -- working long hours, cleaning up each night, and expertly crafting every detail. The result is amazing. We highly recommend Deck Guardian!

From the moment that I spoke with Jon and he worked around our schedule to come for an estimate until the deck was completed, the process could not have gone better. Once we signed the contract for the project, Jon was transparent when it came to scheduling the construction, working around inclement weather. A few days after the wood arrived at the house, Jon's team came and demolished the surface of our old deck. They arrived early in the morning and worked incredibly hard to finish the demolition and repair the foundation in one day. The team that was working took care to clean up all wood and nails from the yard, which was much appreciated with a 15 month old running around. Construction of the deck took a couple of days due to the size, but I couldn't be happier about how it turned out. After the wood dried, we had them back to stain and seal the pressure treated wood, and it came out perfect.

Deck Guardian did a great job on my deck! The general manager was prompt, responsive, knowledgeable, professional and nice to work with. The crew was also very courteous, did a great job and left the job site clean. I've gotten so many compliments on my new deck, including from the building inspector. I would recommend them!

I am so thrilled with my new deck from Deck guardian. Every part of the process was wonderful, from the initial quote to final inspection. When we first met with Jon, we really were unsure of what he wanted so he explained all of the materials and options and even had some design ideas for us. He also listened to what we wanted and incorporated our ideas. The team came early, stayed late, and worked very efficiently. We had a lot of surprises, including a creative, not-to-code foundation, but the team took it all in stride and reinforced everything to bring it to code. The final product was far better than I ever could have imagined and we could not recommend Deck Guardian enough.

The entire process went very well .Ion, the boss was very attentive to all details of the project and very responsive by phone and email.. His crew that did the work . Two gentlemen were polite, worked hard, showed us all the steps and kept us informed .. They were near and cleaned up the site each day after they were done ...their workmanship was very good as well... I highly recommend this company.. We are very happy we chose them

they certainly lived up to their previous 'excellent' reviews from me from 2 years ago when they installed our new deck. tree limbs falling from the storms recently damaged some of the deck railing. they were here within days of my calling, and fixed everything perfectly.

From start to finish, this company did everything right. From accommodating my timing needs, and keeping me informed, everything was done exactly as we agreed. The crew was neat, cleaning up every day, and friendly. John, the owner, was extremely professional in getting this job done wonderfully. The pricing was fare and the work was all first class. We couldn’t be any happier with the final product.

The design of my deck was very complicated - elevated with a complex design. I interviewed several deck companies but didn't feel comfortable with any of them..they didn't like the design and even made their own suggestions to simplify it! These companies seemed to want to do a predictable simple design. DG was recommended to me by a friend, who highly recommended them. I looked at their workmanship and was Impressed. John showed up on time, looked at the design, the next day he send me an estimate. I hired them and John scheduled a start day. Considering the size, material (Trex) and complexity of the project, I felt the cost was reasonable. The construction team showed up on time and worked long hours every day for 10 days to complete the project. I was very impressed with their work ethics, professionalism and obvious top quality experience. They really exceeded my expectations! I will recommend them to all my friends and family.

It was very easy to deal with Deck Guardian. I scheduled an appointment online. Ion from sales was very punctual and after taking the measurements , quickly gave me an estimate.Price was fair and competitive. Communication was very easy, mainly through emails. the crew was very professional. they built up the deck according to the pattern I suggested and did not charge extra. They did a very precise, amazing job.

They responded to my internet inquiry quickly with a phone call to set up a home visit. John brought material samples, took measurements and discussed the project. He left that day having provided a cost estimate, information on timing and the building process. He was thorough and pleasant.

Deck Guardians was really responsive and professional even before the work began. We got four price quotes before choosing a deck builder because ours was a large deck, lots of materials and labor. Deck Guardians was the most reasonable and was transparent about the cost of materials -vs- labor. There were a lot of "moving pieces" with my job because we had a pool install, hardscaping, electrical and plumbing. Deck Guardians worked well with our other contractors to make sure they were not interfering with each other's work. The crew that did the work were real craftsmen with a great eye for detail. They communicated with me every day regarding the status of the project and didn't hesitate to ask me about how I wanted certain details. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the way the deck looked. I'm very pleased with how the project turned out. I'm confident that Deck Guardians will honor their warranty should that ever come up. I heartily recommend them for any new or resurfacing deck project!

Deck Guardian did a wonderful job of rebuilding our old deck. Setting up appointment for free estimate was quick and smooth. When Jon (the manager) showed up for the appointment, he was very knowledgeable and patient to answer all our questions. Jon showed us various decking materials and combinations and gave us very competitive price quote. From start to finish the job was done in a professional and organized way. The craftsmanship of Deck Guardian crew was excellent. When the project was done, we?re so thrilled with the new beautiful deck they built. We highly recommend Deck Guardian!

The job was completed within 2-weeks of the estimate being provided. The job took only 2 days because the hardworking crew worked from early mornings until 7:30pm. Their workmanship was incredible and the finished work is spectacular. I could not be more pleased with the results of this project from beginning to end. In addition, the price was fair and everything went so smoothly from start to finish. I highly recommend Deck Guardian.

The whole experience was great. They were helpful with designing our deck and offered a reasonable price that beat the other installers we looked at. The quality of our new deck is incredible. I would definitely work with them again in the future.

These guys are great if you are interested in wasting your time. Spent an hour with the guy that came for an estimate. Told me he would have the quote in 1 - 2 days max. If fact, when I questioned how quickly it would come after he said that, he even gave me a look like my concerns are unsubstantiated, and then assured me again it would be in my hands within 2 days. It never came. Went on a business trip and came back, still nothing. No voice mail, no email, nothing. Sent the company an email thru their contact form, now 3 weeks after the estimate. Waited 3 business days. Nothing. Called them and spoke to a girl who transferred me to Gordon. Gordon seemed "surprised" I didn't receive my quote. Told me that "it was ready and just needed to be emailed". When I told him I need it by tomorrow so I could make my decision, he said "ohh it will be in your inbox tonight!". Nothing came. Either this company is terrible or they are very busy. If you are terrible, good luck. If you are busy then by all means don't lie to the people who took the time to call you and spend an hour with the estimator. Tell me you are booked up and can't help me. Tell me you know someone else and refer me and take a commission. Tell me you will contact me in October when you are not busy. Who is running the show over there?

Deck Guardian was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. They provided ideas to redesign the layout of the original deck. They were prompt in their responses when I had questions and they started my job within a week of when I was promised. They had advised me of the delay which was due to an entire week of rain. They just completed my 32? X 14? second floor deck in 2 ½ days. I expected it was going to take 4-5 days. They tore down the existing wood structure, redesigned a section that included the steps, and replaced it with Trex. They communicated with me along the way and when it was noticed that the supporting beam would stick out beyond the new deck, they brought it to my attention, and worked with me to find a solution to incorporate the beam so it would not protrude, even though it required additional work and materials. The group of men assigned to my job were perfectionists. They were prompt, professional, hard-working, highly skilled, and took pride in their work, going above and beyond expectations to assure that the end result was exactly as it should be, and that I was happy with it. They were a pleasure to work with. I am extremely happy with my new deck. It is just beautiful. I highly recommend Deck Guardian.

We were looking to tear down our old wood deck in the backyard and front wood porch and replace with Trex materials. We got four estimates, including Deck Guardian. We had a great experience with Deck Guardian. Jon was great to work with. He went over all the details of the project, helped us decide on which color materials to use, and was willing to work with us on the price. We found their price to be reasonable- they came in around the middle of the estimates we received. The project started within the time line that Jon said it would. The crew was on time, worked hard and did a fabulous job. They were very neat and organized and left their work areas spotless when they left. They even offered really great advice about which color material to use for one part of the project, and I really appreciated their expertise. We would recommend Deck Guardian.

They were solid, professional, efficient, punctual, and everything else you could ask for from a professional decking company. From the start the owner was a breeze to work with, providing a very direct and hassle-free quote, and was clearly able to work with us to make sure we were happy with the plan for the project - from the overall idea for the deck to the details of styling. He came over immediately, and even after considering a couple other companies, we decided to go with Deck Guardian because of how easy it was to come to a reasonable price and how quickly Deck Guardian could both start AND PLAN TO FINISH our project. Their workers arrived 30 mins early on the day the project started, and got to work immediately - wasting little time. They worked through rain, +30-50 mph wind gusts, and just never stopped! They were driven, professional, and incredibly meticulous with our project as it showed they were caring for our deck as if they were building their own. They wasted no material in the entire process, and were always willing to answer questions and ensure we were kept aware of adjustments to the plan (all for the better). I am only disappointed with the fact that I have 1 x deck, because I would love to rehire these guys again - my solace will be to recommend them to our friends and other people in the area. Do yourselves a favor and at least give them a call for an estimate - you'll be pleasantly surprised how they don't just treat you like just another project but an extended member of their company.

The guys were amazing. Awesome attitude, hard working. The entire process was smooth, they kept in touch in every step. They accommodated my request to change in design the last moment and didn't show any panic when I said my recommendation might be against city codes. We just had to figure out what that was and whatever the guys were doing exceeded the city codes. We had been quoted exorbitant prices just for living in Marlboro. Deck Guardian gave the most reasonable quote and the results were amazing. Truly happy. Now I can get to enjoy my deck. Thanks so much guys.

The salesman came out a couple of evenings to accomodate my work schedule. We asked for and checked out the references. The work started within a couple of days of signing of the contract. They powerwashed the deck for 3 hours on the first day. Couple of days later they came back to replace the cracked boards. It was followed up with sanding and painting (multiple coats) of the deck surface, the steps and railings. They did a bit more than what was stated in the contract without changing the price. The paint dried fairly fast. They came back the following day for a final inspection and collecting the final payment. The whole job was done in a week. They taped the side of the house during the work and left everything clean. Our ten year old deck looks like new. This is a higher end professional unit. One of the few companies where phones are answered by a live person. Appointments are confirmed by e-mails and texts. Every contract is assigned a coordinator who calls and follows up. They offered a 10 year warranty for re-surfacing. But they are not cheap.

Appointment to estimate resurfacing my deck was set up a week in advance. Received several email and text confirming appointment, as recent as 60 minutes before scheduled start time. 35 minutes before appointment received text and email that appointment was cancelled. No reason, no call. When I called number provided, person who answered did not know why it was cancelled. Will not do business with this company
