My ac went out on Wednesday. McBride was out Thursday and looked at, did maintenance and gave a estimate for a new one. They installed in a day and a half. They worked a hour and a half after normal closing time to be sure we had cold air in our house. We had a house full of kids and it was over 90 degrees. I could not have asked for a more professional and competent group of people. If you need plumbing, heating or air conditioning done I highly recommend McBride.

We regret that you were not happy with our procedures. Sir, you called yesterday with an emergency that your outdoor hose bib was running. We explained we could send over a plumber that afternoon to repair or replace and you declined our service. I am confused why you are giving my company an "F" rating. I have been in business for 30 years, and always there for our customers 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. Respectfully

I cannot comment on the cost as I have not received a bill yet. However, when I called, the girl I spoke with did provide me with the initial hourly and cost per hour after that plus the cost of any materials needed. I was told the plumber would be here in about 90 minutes which ended up being about two hours. This did not bother me as it was an emergency call and for all I know the plumber could have been estimating the time to complete a current emergency job and that could have run over. I did not get the name of the plumber but he was polite and friendly and nice. I did the homeowner hover as he looked at the problem and he explained what he was looking at and what was wrong. He then had the parts needed in his truck and brought the pipe and the mixing valve that also needed to be replaced due to corrosion to show me what needed to be replaced. He then repaired the leak and replaced my mixing valve and came upstairs to ensure that the hot water was functioning. I was pleased with the customer service when I set up the emergency appointment and very pleased with the plumber that provided the service. In addition to his professional attitude he was concerned with dragging wetness through my house on his shoes. I would definitely use them again, even without knowing the final cost.

I called for service on Sunday afternoon and they came out on Monday morning. They do have 24 hour emergency service but this repair was not an emergency. The repairman, Ryan replaced the cartridge on my outside shower and gave us advice on how to properly winterize our shower to prevent future problems. We have used McBride's services in the past and have always had a good experience!

Called Their number and left a message asking if they would be willing to do a washer and dryer hook up for me. They returned my call the next business day and where pleasant and professional. Tim (i believe) came out and gave me an estimate for the job which was higher then I had budgeted so I scrapped the project for now. If you look at the price and say OMG im never going to use them you should know It required a considerable amount of crawl space digging and routing of plumbing and this is why i decided not to go through with it. As no work was done I cant comment on that aspect but they did everything asked and didnt seem to get mad when I said no thanks.

Called this provider as our water main broke (very large job). He answered immediately on a Saturday which was nice. However he quoted us $250 just to come out to give us an estimate. We were willing to pay it as long as it would be applied to the cost of the job if we went with him (which we probably would have if it was reasonable since he had a good rating on Angie's list) but this $250 fee for an estimate would not be applied to the work if we chose him. I think this is very unethical and unprofessional. Although we are in their service area per Angie's list I don't think they wanted to drive the 25 mins to us! Very disappointing. Shows their character or lack thereof.

I am an existing customer of McBride's and had used them a couple of times in the past and found them to be reliable. I called their main number Friday evening at about 7:45pm with what I thought was a frozen pipe that had eventually burst in my utility closet and had no hot or cold running water in the home. I followed their instructions to call their "as advertised 24 hour emergency" number and the recording said someone would call me back as soon as possible. I waited another hour and called the 24 hour emergency number and left another message and still no call back. Much later that evening I was able to contact another company who came out to repair the small pipe and determined the water was shut off by the fire dept (not a frozen line). The real question is why would you advertise 24 hour emergency service and here it is Monday in the afternoon and still no return call??

(member name removed), We go out on emergency calls all the time and average several calls through each weekend. There is no record of your call in our caller ID or on our emergency number. We have been out on many calls with this deep freeze and have helped many people with frozen pipes and no heat calls. I built this business on being available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As you can see by my great reviews I am always there for my customers. I apologize for the mix up if we didn't receive your emergency message.

First I just have to say that Ryan was very patient with me and not only asked questions along the way, but also checked with me about the work he was performing. Ryan fixed between 5-7 different leaks, ensured that hot water and cold water were being delivered throughout the home, turned on and inspected all three HVAC units and placed batteries in the thermostats. In about 6 hours, he had even fixed the line to the non-existent fridge. Yes, I paid for the batteries, but hey he even thought about those little details to make the day smooth. The prices are reasonable and I will be using them again and again whenever I need HVAC or plumbing needs.
Description of Work: This provider was hired to review a short sale materials and help me protect my vested interest in the property I was looking at. Ryan arrived on time, was very professional, and really patient with a non-construction type customer that I am. Ryan had a big job ahead of him to de-winterize a property that we found out was not properly winterized..

I drove to the plumbers shop on the morning of 12/19 and asked if they could come out to snake the sewer pipe, The office manager was very helpful and said she would have someone there that morning. The crew arrived about 9:15 AM and completed their work in less than 1/2 hour. The sewer line was working like new when they left. They said I would receive a bill in the mail.

Have used Tim McBride Plumbing for a few small jobs - toilet replacement, toilet base leak fix (different toilet), and they have done a good job both times. Had what I thought might be a corroded shower drain in the master bath. Called McBride, the plumber came and took a look - said there was no problem to fix, it was only accumulated scale and debris. No charge. They could have easily made up a repair that wasn't needed but were honest about it. That's why they will always get my call in the future.

I came home on a Saturday and found a huge puddle of water in my yard/driveway near where the water line was buried that fed my sprinkler system. My neighbor said its been growing in size for the past week. So I called McBride immediately on their emergency line. My call was returned promptly, I was told there would be an added emergency fee (since it was after hours and on a Saturday) and I was totally cool with the added fee since I did not know what was going on. Ryan (I think that's his name) showed up quickly, opened the cap to the sprinkler valve, turned off the water, sucked out all of the standing water, and told me it needed to be replaced. I called the office a few days later to schedule a date and time. Ryan showed up at the time he said he would, had to dig out an area of ground by hand (it was hot and humid that day), replaced the new valve, tested the system, showed me exactly what he did (which I appreciated very much), then put the dirt back, changed (4) hose bibs for me, put the dirt back, swept and packed up. He wrote an invoice, I paid him and we were done. McBride is certainly not the cheapest. But they charge a fair price and I feel I get superior work backed by a solid company. It's not cheap to do good work, maintain an office, trucks and staff, pay taxes and insurance, and every other expense it takes to run an honest business and people forget this. I don't want the cheapest plumber because it will cost a lot more in the long run. I highly recommend McBride to anyone that asks and I certainly will continue to use them for all of my plumbing needs. The office staff is nice too.

After having a good expeirence with McBride a few weeks ago, things went down hill. They fixed a water pump and the plumber discovered that a leak was causing our home to lose hot water. He fixed the leak and we had hot water for a few days. Then, it stopped. We called McBride to come check it out. The plumber came on the wrong day (luckily, someone was home). He walked in, looked at the heater, said it needs to be replaced, then walked out. They sent an estimate for a replacement. It was a bit higher than some other plumbers, but that was ok. I call, schedule an appointment for the Monday of that week. They called me back to change the time from morning to between 11 and 1pm. No problem. Then, no one ever showed. I called the next day and was told, rather rudely, that my credit card wasn't working. I asked, "working for what? we are paying cash for the job?" The "woman" replied, "you owe another $144 for the last time we came out." Yes...for the 5 minute visit in which we received NO INVOICE, suddenly turned into a $144 charge. So, to review...they showed up, spent 5 mins checking on a mistake they made, tried to charge my credit card for a full hour + of service, then no-showed us on an appointment. I'm sure their plumbers are well skilled, but the office and management needs to be greatly improved.

[member name removed] we drove to your residence in Estelle Manor to look at your water heater because you said you didn't know if it was leaking. We determined your tank was bad and needed replacement. We sent you an estimate and you said to do the job, so we ordered the water heater and had it in our shop ready to be installed. When we ran your credit card for the deposit your card was no good. We called you several times to tell you this and you never called us back to give us another form of payment, so that's why we did not show up on the date specified. Now your state that you were paying cash. This is the first time I heard anything about cash. You can't expect me to install your water heater for free. Our hot water was failing for about 2 weeks, getting less and less warm each day. Then, after a power outage, our water pump stopped working and we were left with no water at all. We figured we would need a new hot water heater. McBride came and within an hour and a half, we had both hot water and our pump was working. The plumber, Neil (?), replaced a part on the pump. And, he discovered a bad leak in the line from the hot water heater to the house (we didn't knwo there was a leak). Since then we've had no problems and our hot water is flowing nicely. Highly recommended. Great price too, especially since the plumber had to crawl under the home into our crawl space...a job I wish on no one!

We emailed McBride and within minutes we got an answer. Tim came out the next day, took our information for work to be done and came back with an estimate. The price was good for the amount of work to be done. The job was done in two trips because there was no urgency to get everything done in one day. Water heater was done on first trip. We have light colored carpeting on the first floor where the job took place. They covered the carpet with tarps before work started and were finished within a few hours. Not a speck of dirt anywhere! On the next trip the hose bib and two new toilets were put in. I was asked where I wanted the hose bib put in for my convenience. The two bowls went in mostly trouble free. One of the toilets was giving the plumber a problem with the way it sat,but he worked and worked on it till it was done right. After he finished he even washed the bathroom floor. The plumbers were polite, courteous and most important, they were competent. Good job,I will use them again in the future.

Do yourself a favor and "DO NOT USE McBRIDE". I selected McBride after reading several positive reviews on Angies List ( my only explanation for this is that they must have a lot of friends and family!). I should have been tipped-off when they required a credit card before they would even schedule an appointment. While the technician was adequate, McBride's billing and company policies were far from it. I was charged a visit charge of $105 for the technician to come to my home and tell me the pump was defective. Although I had already told them that on the phone. The tech was there for less than 40 minutes, but I was billed for the full hour. I was told he would have to return another day to replace the pump since he did not have the correct one on his truck. When I asked for a quote on the pump price, he said the office would call with a quote. When the office did NOT call, I called them to get a quote and was told $416.00 for the pump. The tech returned two days later to install the pump which took less than an hour from the time he arrived to the time he completed his paperwork. The final bill included a charge of $538 for the pump (which retails for less than $350 and significantly higher than the quoted price of $416). The tech said he knew nothing about the verbal quote. Although I found the charges rather high, I was just glad the experience was over and paid the bill of $786.83 in full. So I was highly surprised to get an additional bill for $101.65 from McBride several days later. After calling their office several times, I was told that their technician was at my house for an hour and forty minutes to replace the pump. When I said that was not the case; that I had checked his time in and out and that it was under an hour. They said that "GPS doesn't lie". So I guess customers have to pay for their technician's extended breaks at the rate of $95.00 per hour. I have never written a negative review in my life, but McBrides contempt and attitude has driven me to this review as well as filing a complaint with the BBB.

Your sewer ejector pump had to be pulled and have the impeller checked to rule out a clog before we would tell you that the pump is bad. We pulled the pump and confirmed the motor was burnt up. We called and quoted you the pump cost before we came out like you asked, you agreed so we came out to do the install. It took our tech 1.5 hours to install the sewer ejector pump, which is the industry norm, and we confirmed that time on our Fleetmatics satellite when you questioned the install time. I would like to say after being in this business for over 26 years it is physically impossible to install a sewer ejector pump in a holding tank that is full with raw sewage, pipe the discharge line, test the pump, seal the lid, and clean up the work area in 40 minutes. Our Fleetmatics satellite has our tech arriving at your house at 3:01 Jan, 22nd and he departed at 4:32 Jan 22nd. McBride & Company takes pride in our quality work and we make every effort to satisfy our customer’s needs. Our hard work and dedication to customer service has earned us the customer super service award 3 years in a row.

After repeated cancellations of the install by our local plumber, I went to Angie's list and called McBride Plumbing. An appointment was set for me the next day. Showed up on time and did a very professional installation for a similar price that my usual plumber quoted. It was a complicated install due to pipe locations etc.. Ryan was very careful and meticulous and did a great job. He was also very friendly and experienced. I highly reccommend this plumber !
