Exceeded my expectations. Cheaper to re-finish than to go with a new manufactured floor. Showed up on time. Came in on budget. Did exactly the work he promised. Made the floors perfect, no sign of the previous owners' wear and tear. Beautiful!
Description of Work: Refinished 95 year old hardwood floors. Sanded them, replaced worn, broken, drilled-through boards, removed signs of pet urine, stained floors, finished and coated floors.

The job they did was mediocre. There are still bumps of god knows what, all over the floor. I confronted the owner about the dust & he said he did the best he could. We had work like this done before and another contractor was able to protect everything from dust. This man was argumentative and obstinate. When I challenged him on not using water to clean the floor, he said ''Look, water and wood don't mix'' I KNOW! THAT'S WHY WE PAID THEM OVER $700 TO URETHANE THE FLOOR! I work full time, and it is now four days since they left. I just finished cleaning the kitchen of dust, and I have three days of cleaning to rid the livingroom of dust, and all the pantry contents have to be washed or thrown out. We could have done this better and quicker ourselves. I strongly recommend no one use this contractor.
Description of Work: The contractor was to sand antique pine floors in the kitchen, diningroom and hallway, then coat the floor with 3 coats of polyurethane. They were to protect the rest of the house, taping plastic over all entryways to the work area, and when they came to look at our floors prior to an estimate, they said they would tape off all cabinetry in the kitchen. They did not. Cabinets and drawers plus the contents were full of dust. The livingroom plus furniture we had moved to the livingroom to get it away from the dust & the contents of our pantry, was covered with dust also. The third coat was uneven and had bubbles throughout. We had to wait the entire weekend for them to return for another coat, since they had run out of finish and their supplier was closed. They advised me to use Windex and a dry mop to clean the floor, said no water was to be used! In a kitchen! I checked with their supplier and he flatly disagreed. He said a damp mop with a special cleaner was fine.
