Joey, Rick, and company have done another great job. Joyey suggested to move all my receivers, TV set-top-box, etc behind the wall. He build culture box, in the wall for all appliances, out of site. Also, painted high ceiling room. They came on time and competed whole project in less time than originally agreed upon. Excellent job! The whole project turned out to be better than I thought/expected. Attached before and after pics.

Joey arrived quickly and offered a free estimate for repair of a damaged ceiling. The quote was a fair price. After finding out I would not receive any home owners insurance for the damage, I decided to attempt the work myself. Otherwise I would have hired Dixie Home Maintenance.

Perfect as always!! This is the best company we have ever dealt with. Jack of all trades. There isn't anything this company cannot do. They always get back with you ASAP. Very courteous, kind and polite. Every customer is extremely important to them. Only hires the best employees. They have been taking care of our family for over five years.

We've used Dixie Total Home Maintenance for quite a few large projects, but this was the biggest one we've ever done with them. We had an old 70's-style basement with wood paneling, sparkling old-style vinyl tile floors, dim, florescent lighting, a damaged bar, and some water damage from years of water issues. They had previously replaced our windows, graded the land, and addressed some problems with our gutters to help fix the water issues. Joey (the owner) came out assess the work and recommend the best, most waterproof materials to use. He gave me some ideas on what his team could do, what we could buy, and how we can be as guarded as possible from any future water issues. When time came for the remodel, Dan came out to start work with his team. They did too much work to list, but here is an attempt. They demoed everything, filled some cracks in the wall where water may have been getting in and and sealed the wall with Drylok Pro, framed out the new walls with metal studs (recommended for basements), brought the electric up to modern code, used the old bar space to create a walk-in storage closet (our request), put up new walls using a mold-proof, fiberglass drywall recommended by Joey (it was hard for me to find, but well worth it), painted the walls and ceiling grid bars, converted the ceiling grid from 2x4 to 2x2 and put up more modern panels that we selected and purchased, installed drop lighting in the ceiling, installed trim and crown molding, and installed new luxury vinyl plank floor that was recommended by Joey (looks like wood, but is waterproof). Throughout the entire process, Dan and his team were incredibly nice to deal with. I am always impressed with how the Dixie workers conduct themselves and I never have an issue leaving them alone in my home. Dan was responsive to all my questions and collaborative in addressing any issues that arose (and we definitely his some issues with how old the basement was and how it was originally built). We are incredibly thrilled with the final product and so happy to be able to use our basement as a true living space for the first time since we moved into our house. We are slowly becoming a house that Dixie built. We keep going back to them because they are easy to deal with, serious about getting our work done well and the way we want it, and very reasonably priced for the quality job they do. We are looking forward to our next project with Dixie!

Great work! The front corner of my unfinished basement has always been damp and even collects puddles during rainy stretches. Dixie evaluated the drainage along the driveway outside the garage and determined that the gutter was undersized and leaking and that the concrete was slanted toward the house which caused water to drain toward the house instead of away from it. They reworked the gutters and sealed the edge of the driveway with a thin layer of concrete, pitched away from the house. Even with all the rain we've had lately, the basement has stayed dry. My neighbors have bamboo which infiltrates my yard. Dixie dug the 50ft long trench through the roots, which was a bear of a job, and then installed the root barrier. Once I did out the rest of the roots on my side of the barrier, I shouldn't have the constant maintenance and aggravation of the aggressive bamboo shoots in my garden! This is the 2nd time I've used Dixie for miscellaneous house projects and they're due out in a few weeks for another project. I've always found Dixie to be very responsive. The crews are friendly, communicative and professional. They kept me in the loop throughout, discussed options and cleaned up when they were done. The bill was detailed so I knew exactly what I was paying for. They worked on a hourly basis and the final tally of time was justified.

All of the work I needed done was completed in a timely manner. There was about a month delay in scheduling the work because they were booked up but the owner let me know this up front so it was not an issue for me since nothing I needed done was urgent. The workers were friendly and respectful and I would not hesitate to hire them again.

Everything went great! Dixie's crew arrived on time on five consecutive days and cleaned up after themselves each day. Despite expanded work requirements they stuck with their original estimate. Most importantly, they did great work. This thew third job they have done for me and I would recommend them without reservation.

Excellent workmanship, interfacing with workman excellent, Completed project had nothing but wonderful comments upon viewing by neighbors. The craftsmanship of the workers is evident by viewing the finished product.

As always, the Dixie THM team was great to deal with. We've had them do work on our home before and have always been happy with them. This time was no different. They diagnosed the reason for water getting into our basement and came to fix it so that we can finally get moving on a full basement remodel. They found problem areas where out gutters weren't catching all of the roof water, as well as a grading issue where the gas company had dug to install a line and not replaced the dirt properly. Their team is always beyond courteous and knowledgeable, with a good work ethic. They also always take the time to focus on the little things that make for a great customer experience (while it's not related to the work, it's worth noting that they even took the time to bring in our garbage can from the curb when we weren't home). We are having them back to remodel our basement as soon as we can!

One thing that stands out is that these folks love what they do and are resourceful in doing what needs to be done to finish the job. They are local and easy to work with in reaching an understanding about what needs to be done. They have stood behind their work in the one instance something needed to be fixed afterwards. There have been scheduling conflicts but I appreciate that they are busy (good sign). They rescheduled our jobs quickly enough without leaving me hanging. They have also accommodated our scheduling needs due to challenges at home. Whenever they come by and get a project taken care of, I always feel happy afterwards. This description covers a time span of 6 months and 3 visits for various projects. Thank you.

Dan and Tommy completed 18 "honey-do" items at my home. They were professional, helpful and very friendly. It became extremely obvious why this company wins service awards year after year. They gave solid suggestions as to how best complete each task and even made recommendations as to which tools I should purchase for my own use. Their ideas saved me time and money. Their work displayed quality when they were in the interior of the house as well as the exterior , even in terrible heat. I wish I could keep them on retainer !

The problem was simple and fixed within five minutes. They did not charge me! what can you say? Joey and his team did work for me before - installing a new powder room vanity and baseboards. Outstanding work there, too.

Joey from Dixie showed up promptly for an estimate. I bought the posts for installation and when notified they came right out. Unfortunately the posts I purchased were too short, but the guys from Dixie went to the supplier and returned the posts for me and tried to get the correct size but they did not have them. I eventually obtained the correct posts, advised Dixie and Joey came out himself with another guy and banged out the job in a couple of hours. Great job. Would hire again.

Dixie HRM put attic stairs in my home. They did a great job. Did not make any mess at all and were on time. It took a little longer than they said to do the work but I believe it’s because they were so focused on making the job perfect. Well worth every penny and they are now my “go to” 1st call for maintenance and projects.

I never got an email nor phone call from the company.

Horrible. They insisted that bith my wife and I be there for the install. So I call out of work and they never show. I message them and they say they had to help an old customer that woke up with their AC not working. Yes today is 90 but the next few days it will be back in the 70's. So not only do they not show or call to inform me they are not coming they then tell me that i have to wait over a week for them to make it here when they are 15 minutes away from my house. They knew I had to have this done by wed the 30th as we had new HVAC being installed and the ladder needed to be installed so they could install the unit. Easily one of the most unprofessional comoanies I have ever dealt with. Avoid at all cost!

Tired of the contractors with bloated overhead and prices to match? Then Dixie should be your go-to contractor. The price for our kitchen remodel was more than fair (and thousands less than other quotes we got) , and Joe and his crew can handle it all (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall) so no stalled projects while you wait for subcontractors to fit you in. And he's willing to tackle smaller jobs, or jobs that don't fit the mold. I had sourced my own cabinets and needed them installed, and other contractors (referred by HomeAdvisor, BTW) didn't want to be bothered. If it wasn't a $50K+ job they had no interest.

Always perfectly with these people. We have used them for five years on a regular basis. NEVER A PROBLEM!! Comes as soon as is called! Extremely nice! Best Prices! Totally Worth it!!!

The two guys were very professional and worked the whole time. They were a pleasure to have in my home. They also gave me an estimate on installing a fence. The bought the air conditioner and ceiling fan at Lowe’s. They picked both up and brought them to the house. I couldn’t be more pleased. I will definitely call them again when I need something done.

I live in an older home & was looking for a handyman that was reputable, knowledgeable and did great work. Sadly, like many, I've found the search to be a difficult one. I decided to try Angie's List and found Dixiethm.com in the process...Their work is amazing! They come when they say they will & they work, hard..I actually had cars slowing down to view the progress. What a difference...For me, they were a Godsend as I anticipate many additional jobs will need to be done..I also was able to check out their website-Wow..the list of jobs/tasks they are able to complete is impressive to say the least..just the type of Handyman was looking for..I would have no reservations recommending them in the future and to say I'm pleased, is an understatement..Thanks guys for a job well done..

I called and spoke with the owner, who was very friendly and knowledgeable . He immediately dispatched Alex and Rick. They arrived at the time the owner said they would. It turns out I didn't need my vent reconnected at all. I tried to offer money, but they said it was a free estimate! Wow! They were honest and prompt! I would definitely use them again. Thanks for restoring my faith in contractors

Smooth...Squirrels had invaded the ceiling above the suspended ceiling and it was a mess. They just continued to do the job and didn't charge us any extra money even though it caused them to complete the project and extra few hours another day...Then they gave my mom a senior discount which we didn't expect...Very happy with their service...

Everything went well. We were quoted at 2-3 hours. It went a little over but that was mostly due to us not having the right paint color in our garage to paint over the work that had been done so they ran to the store and picked paint up in order to finish the job. Very detail oriented and professional. Our bedroom is actually usable now that we can close the doors!

They did a very good job. It was in our garage and they still lay down floor covering and cleaned everything up including vacuuming since our garage is carpeted. Very happy.
