Guys were great, responsive, worked hard and we are very pleased with the end result.

I bought a deal for six hours of handyman services. I told them specifically what I needed done and they scheduled the job. Two men arrived at the scheduled time and got to work. I stated that I didn't think I had six hours of work to do, I was told that it was three hours because there was two of them. Not what the deal said, but no argument from me. One hung the storm door, changed the knob and deadbolt and the other started on the porch. A door was also to be hung inside but it needed to be cut and the workers did not have the necessary tools to complete the job. So they both worked on the porch until it was done. They were here for about 4hrs. I was informed that they would return on Saturday(5 days later) around lunchtime and that it should take about 45 minutes to hang the door. Saturday around 2pm, I called to see what happened since no one had come and I left a message in voicemail. My call was returned and a message left in my voicemail stating that the guys truck had broken down and they were unable to make it. However, they would be in my area on Wednesday (4 days later) and would come in the afternoon to complete the job. He apologized and assured me that they would be here on Wednesday unless he heard from me. Wednesday has come and gone and no one has shown up or called. If they did not intend to come back they should not have said they would. I didn't ask, they volunteered...WOW..

They did an excellent job. He was on time and he put a drop cloth down. He was just a nice guy. It was easy to work with him. he did the job and he cleaned up behind it.

From the time they entered the house (2 men Joe & Ed) they were very professional ask us to go over what we wanted done and walk around with us to make sure everything was clear and concise. Professional but friendly and made us feel assured we were going to get our moneys worth in time and quality. They performed the work ins systematic order both men for the most part working separately. At the end we had some time left on our contract and they told us they would rather do some more work for us then leave with us having time left. My wife had them do some more trim painting. When finished they said good bye and left. Everything was left clean and neat. I definitely will use these people again

What a guy! Love him. He ran into some trouble with parts not aligning, and gladly went back to store 2-3 times to find appropriate part without xtra charge. He definitely gave service above and beyond what we expected.We will be using him again.

He has been here 3 times so far. Each time he has done work for approximately $200 which was money well-spent. He and one other worker recalked 3 bathrooms, and replaced a window sill the first time. The second time he replumbed my kitchen sink and fixed the drain in my bathroom. He was here today scraping my front door and porch railings for repainting. He is very trust-worthy and dependable, and will go out of his way to make sure that you are happy with his work. He can be trusted to come to the house and do what needs to be done with no supervision. You can leave him with a list of jobs, and he will even out the hour so that you are not paying for time not spent on work. Great job!

The team was was great. They took care of all items on our list and more. For example, they notice our carpeting was rippling in one room and offered to stretch it, which looks much better. We definitely got our money's worth and plan to use them for future jobs.

Arrival was promptly at the time given; pleasant, friendly and skilled workers; focused on tasks needed to be completed in 3 hrs; workmanship is excellent; ideas suggested to solve existing problems; would call Dixie again for other jobs in the future.Joey was willing to go to Home Depot (closest to us) for a needed item that we did not have on hand. It went pretty good. It took a while for them to arrive and it wasn't their fault. We were just having an awful weather condition. When they did, they did the work very quickly and efficiently. I'm actually hoping to use them again if they call me back. They were able to complete the work in a faster time for the amount I bought. They held that credit for me for the next time I would use them. Even though they took a lot to get it done, they communicated and let me know. They explained why they couldn't do the work. When they arrived, they were very efficient.

1) The first job was easy, thankfully. The original installer simply did not use enough nails and the capping under the bay window didn't survive the brutally harsh winter. 2) The window repair went perfectly. The original window installer built the window with the bottom stud tilted toward the house; thus, water ran into the window frame. The provider rebuilt the window correctly and luckily, was able to move the vertical capping down just enough to butt againt the new horizontal stud without any problem. 3) This job went just fine too. The stud was water damaged and the provider replaced it was a pressure-treated stud. It was a tricky cut on one edge of the stud. No problem for these guys. The had the tools and the know-how. 4) The chimney was inspected with a recommendation made. This service provider is now my first choice for home repairs. I've already discussed this provider (Dixie) with another family member.

Very quick to respond to email, but their schedule was just to far out for what I needed.

I had a long list of repairs that needed to be done around my home and in a short amount of time most of the repairs were completed. In the future I will definitely be calling Joey back! I had the ceiling to my patio repaired, a ceiling repainted above my door, a toilet fixed that was running, lights replaced in the basement, a broken drawer replaced and new light fixtures installed in the home office. Joey and his co-worker were extremely nice and did a great job on the repairs.

They were on time and on budget .They are very efficient and work well on their own. They do it all and are really well priced. There were no extra fees or costs which I appreciated. I have upcoming work as well that I will be hiring them for.

We had this odd closet in our guest bedroom that we could do nothing with. It took up an entire wall and was just an awkward space with a hanging bar about 8 feet in the air. After buying the $199 for 6 hours of work and having Dixie Total Home Maintenance come out for that, we decided to hire them to come back and build us a usable closet and a radiator cover as well. The job took two days and we are so very pleased with how everything turned out! We will be asking them to come back in another month or two to do our master closet next! I searched high and low for someone to actually build us closets, since ours are kind of odd and awkward, but could only find companies that did the "systems" that just wouldn't work for our spaces. So glad we finally found someone to build us exactly what we wanted. Will also have them build us another radiator cover or two - the one they did turned out better than I hoped and now we can use the space around and on top of it.

Joey and Joe were so great. I'm really pleased I purchased the $199 for six hours deal through Angie's List (3 hours with 2 people for a total of 6 man hours). They were so efficient that I had to start looking for more things for them to do! Let's see, they... - removed pegboard from walls and patched the areas - patched ceiling/wall cracks and various holes in preparation for us to paint - hung a jewelry box mirror - hung indoor shutters in our kitchen windows - caulked spot above front door that would leak when it rained - adjusted motion light on the driveway so it actually comes on now when we walk by it - caulked back porch window - adjusted back porch weather stripping so rain wouldn't come in - attached headboard to bed frame Mainly we just wanted the walls and ceilings patched and prepped for us to paint, but when that was going quickly and they asked "what else?" I decided to have them work on other things that we'd been meaning to do for months but just hadn't gotten around to. Definitely got our money's worth and then some!

My first time using an Angie's List provider and was very satisfied with Phase 1 of my project. I had old wainscoting throughout my upstairs hallway and needed it to be cut out and replaced with new drywall. The communication process with Dixie was seamless and received a response right away after purchasing their deal. I emailed them photographs of the work to be done and received a response as to what supplies was needed. As I do not have a truck, they were able to purchase the materials needed (large sheets of drywall) from Lowes prior to showing up for the job with no additional markup. Joey and Joe showed up as scheduled, evaluated the job and got to work right away. Very nice guys who really "do not play" at all! What I have been staring at for months was completed in one day (initial drywall cut out, replaced, and even was able to sheetrock right over my ugly popcorn ceiling in the hall). On top of that, I had an extremely old thermostat changed out as well. I have already hired them back to return to finish the job as the top coat on sheet rock needs to set and dry prior to being primed, painted, trimmed, etc. Happy with the quality/speed of the work so far and look forward to hiring them for additional sheetrocking over my family room popcorn ceiling and installing new recessed lighting. I was relieved to stop dwelling over who to hire to get the job done. These guys can get a lot done in a day and look forward to getting additional work completed before our new baby is born. One less thing for me to worry about. Thank you.

Joey and Joe from Dixie Home Maintenance were awesome. They are reliable, hard workers who do excellent work at a very reasonable price. They are very knowledgeable in all aspects of home repair and made excellent suggestions during their work at my house. My funds were very limited and they helped me accomplish my needed repairs with what I had. I would highly recommend Dixie Home Maintenance.

I called in and Joey responded right away and scheduled me in for next week. He and Joe arrived on time. They evaluated my situation. Then Joe got right to work taking down the wet drywall and insulation, while Joey went to Lowe's to purchase material. Once everything was down, they checked that there was no damage and got to work putting up the new insulation and drywall right away. In addition, they also helped me install a new bathroom fan and fixed a minor outlet problem I had. It was about 5 hours of work. They came back the next morning to re-spackle and go up on the roof to check. It seemed that the previous roofers did a poor job but there was nothing they could do since it was the middle of winter. They told me it would be fine until I can get it fixed in the spring. They didn't charge me for the hour they were there the second day. I liked how they explained to me what they were doing as they were going along. They also showed me the receipt for the materials they brought. I felt like they were fair and I would use them again for future services.

It went great, and they are so nice! It went so well that we are using them again for additional work we need.

I bought a package and it's 6 hours for $199. They end up sending 2 people and they worked for 3 hours. Basically they spent a bunch of time buying stuff for me. The people are pretty friendly, punctual and they tell how they work. I would use them again if it's in a similar price range.

Arrived promptly and got to work on my to-do list listed above. He and his partner were very friendly and worked quickly. Since I had so many things on my to-do list, I surpassed my allotted time of three hours and was charged $100 an hour until everything on my list was done. I am pleased with everything with the exception of the caulking by the bath tub and a small area in the bathroom ceiling downstairs. It's already starting to separate and just doesn't look right. I really think the sheetrock in both areas needed to be replaced (which I had available) in order to repair the problem. Nonetheless, I would still recommend them since everything else came out great. They also cleaned up their work area before they left.

THEY ARE FRIENDLY AND HONEST AND DIDN'T CHARGE IF THEY WENT OVER THE ALLOTTED HOURS YESTERDAY WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE DONE. DUE TO SNOW STORM TODAY THEY HAVE TO COME BACK MONDAY TO FINISH A FEW DETAILS WHICH IS FINE

It went well. Everything went perfect. They actually shopped for a couple things and provided me with the receipt. Honest, reliable staff

It was a very pleasant experience. They did nice work and were helpful in discussing some future work on the house. i was pleased with the entire day.
