Poorly. Bovio did not respond to my text, (the same text number they responded to when I questioned the time of the appointment) and the email they publish for Ryan Aron comes back as undeliverable, when I tried to express my concerns. It started bad at the beginning. The appointment was for between 10AM and 2PM but I was texted at 7:45 saying the tech was on his way. I responded (with the text number I described above) and was told the appointment was for between 8 to 12. I know what my intention was, my wife was there when I called, but that was a minor, innocent issue (I thought) compared to the rest of the visit. The technician replaced the toilet handle and unclogged the bathroom sink without issue. The bathroom faucet had some issues. He finished the job and left. When we went to use the faucet, there was a puddle left in the sink because the drain was not properly installed. Additionally, the drain stopper was not installed correctly as we were able to simply lift it out. He accepted my payment and left. It is completely unacceptable that a legitimate plumber would leave a job unfinished. Did he think we wouldn't notice? I called Bovio and they had him com back to finish the job but he left the floor wet and we had to clean up after him. They did not respond to my text but I did get an email asking to give them a review. I did and finally got a response telling me that I gave them the wrong faucet to install but this was the first time this was mentioned to me. If it's true, I would have had them install the correct one. However, the one they did install (the wrong one I purchased) after the technician came back seems to be working correctly so far. If it really was the wrong one, should they have installed it anyway? I'm worried now with that response. The fact is that he left our house with the stopper able to be lifted out and had to be called back to finish the job. Is that an acceptable way of doing business? As far as the bill, I expected the deal I ordered through Angie's List of $85 for the first hour plus parts. However, I was charged $330 for a little over an hour. He couldn’t explain other than “that’s the way we do it.” I did not get an itemized bill until after he left and it was more complicated than $85 plus parts plus ??? for additional time. There was no mention of an Angie's List "deal" on the invoice. All in all, I stand by my assessment of an unsatisfactory experience. The technician left without finishing the job and I feel misled about the price. Bovio's publishing a bad email address adds to my dissatisfaction.

The man Nat was very polite, made sure the office explained the pricing as soon as he came in. Listened to what I had to say. Then tested the unit and stated it needed main computer board replaced. There was no power coming from the board to the blower. He stated he could bypass the board but the fan will run continues until he replaces the board, that way I would have air. Two days later came first thing in morning, replaced th board and everything has been fine since. The board was pricey, I didn't have a way to check that out. I would recommend and use them again.

Just an awful experience. We have been a Rubino Service Co. for 10 Plus years including the Service and Maintenance Contract for our Heating and Air Conditioning Systems. We decided to replace our Hot Water Tank and called Rubino, they sent Lester Pae to give us an estimate. He wrote up the estimate and told us it qualified for the $300 New Jersey Clean Energy Rebate. We called to schedule the installation with Liz, Rubino’s Office Manager who told us that they complete all Rebate paperwork and submit for the Rebate in addition they file for the Required Township Permit. November 8, 2018, Joe P. came to remove old and install new Hot Water Tank. Joe was constantly on his phone talking and texting, with his phone on speaker we heard every conversation. Joe drained existing Tank and the Sediment into the wrong drain (condensation drain) causing the drain in the bathroom sink below to clog and flood the Main Floor resulting in $22,000 in damages to our home. When we noticed the flooding, Joe refused to help and said, you have a clog - just dry it up with some towels and went back to installing the new Tank. We asked him for a Wet Vac and for him to snake or plunge the sink to remove the clog. He told us he did not have either - his truck was not “equipped”. We called Rubino who sent someone with a Wet Vac, he took one look and said: “this is not going to help”. Finally, Rubino sent SERVPRO Restoration to try to mitigate the damages. SERVPRO’s site supervisor told us the wood floors were already gone and set up drying process. He also told us the Tank was incorrectly drained and the correct procedure is to run the drain hose into the nearest Toilet or Bath Tub (A full bathroom is next to where the tank is located). After numerous calls to Rubino to discuss how they planned to proceed and no answers we were told that Angela Rubino Hines, President of Rubino Services would be in touch and they were just the “go-between”. After more calls and no callback, we finally spoke to Angela Hines. She was rude, abrupt, and offered no answers or apology, and told us she had no one available to unclog the drain before Monday. She then started yelling the clogged drain was our fault which was NOT true. Five days later she sent her Master Plumber Lester Pae to unclog the drain. He confirmed the Tank was drained incorrectly and the sink clog was caused by the sediment from the Hot Water Tank and showed us the sediment he cleaned out. He questioned why Joe drained into the condensation drain and not the Toilet or Tub in the Bathroom next to the Utility Room with the Hot Water Tank. With no definitive information from Angela Hines, as to how she was going to proceed, on November 15 we filed a claim with our Homeowner’s Insurance who contacted Rubino and instituted a subrogation claim against Rubino, after which Rubino admitted liability. Angela did have Liz, her Office Manager call and email requesting payment. We called Liz and informed her that our Attorney and Insurance Company advised us not to make a payment or sign off on an Invoice until the Insurance Companies settled and our Insurance Company received payment in full. On March 25, 2019, our insurance company confirm the claim was paid in full. March 26th, we called Liz, and paid the invoice. We asked Liz about the $300 Rebate and she said it was already applied for and she would check on the status with Rose who handles Rebate Paperwork. Liz emailed us a paid Invoice which has printed on the top “Applying for $300.00 Rebate” with that we believed the Rebate was processed. On May 14th Jennifer from Rubino called to confirm our May 15th appointment for our yearly Air Conditioning Service. We asked her about the status of the Hot Water Tank Rebate and were told Rose takes care of the Rebate Program and she would leave her a message to call us back. Rose did not call us back. On May 15th we called and spoke to Rose, she said she knew nothing about the Rebate and no one left her any messages. She told us she never filed for the Rebate and it was now too late it must be filed within 180 days, even using November as the invoice date March was still well within the 180-day deadline. When we asked Rose why the paperwork was not completed and filed on time, her explanation was no one told her. Strange since our paid invoice clearly states “Applying for $300 Rebate”. We spent four plus months being inconvenienced while trying to get our home restored and repairs completed. We had to seek legal advice and completed mountains of paperwork. To make matters worse when we called the Township to schedule the permit inspection, we were told there was no plumbing permit request on file for our address. The Township had to contact Rubino to submit the paperwork for the required Permit. To add insult to injury now we are not even going to receive the $300 New Jersey Clean Energy Rebate. No one from Rubino has called-- no apology or attempted to salvage their reputation with us. Needless to say, we did not renew our Service Contract.

Sister was away from home and she received a call from person caring for animals tgat air conditioner was not working. I used Angie's List to locate potential providers near her home. I called Bovio and they were able to give me an appointment that same day, with a 4-6 window. Not living in the area and having to drive a distance to get tp the home, I was stuck in traffic when I received a text the Technician was en route. I called the main number and they pleasantly let me know they would communicate that to the technician. I arrived at 4:01 and he arrived a minute later. The situation was evaluated by the professional Technician and a repair completed. He took the time to explain all to me so I could communicate with sister and answer her questions. I would recommend them and recommended my sister use them again.

My experience with Bovio was a good one. I put them up against 4 local competitors and they came out on top. I was looking for a top-of-the-line system and they sold me on Carrier's Infinity product line. Their competitors were offering similar products by Lennox, Trane, Bryant and I had another Carrier dealer as well. Bovio checked all the boxes and had the best price. I have no complaints about the service once they arrived at my house. The AC came from Carrier with a broken part, but Bovio quickly ordered a new one and will be replacing it in a couple days. I am pleased with my decision to go with Bovio and would recommend them to anyone.

I was charged $225 for replacement of bathroom faucet which took approximately 1 hour. I had bought a $98 Angie's List special but apparently, that was useless. While the price and quality of work was not bad, the Angies List special was misleading as it was irrelevant.

Bovio provided a wonderful customer experience. I called with an issue with my heater blowing cool air on and off. The scheduler was able to get me in the same day. After hanging up with her I received and email from the company with my schedule window and information. I also received a text when my technician was on the way with a picture so that I knew exactly who would be coming to my door. When John got here he was very professional he put his booties on and got right to work. He was very honest and gave me all my options in order to make the best decision financially that would fix the problem. I would definitely use Bovio's for all my HVAC needs going forward.

Not good. Over 2 years they would either not show or reschedule the morning of the appointment. I had my last appointment last October when the guy showed up hours late and then was out quickly. I asked him if he checked my humidifier and he said it all looked good. It was clear that he hadn’t because the humidifier wasn’t working. Later this year when I was switching out my vent filters, I saw that he had left a filter that was way too small for what my system requires. It was literally leaning against the vent at a 45 degree angle. What a joke.

In and out in exactly one hour. There was an additional charge of $102 over the Angie's List one hour service call promo price, which I still don't quite understand...the promo was $98 for service call and one hour labor...the pvc parts were just about $10, so I'd understand if they were charged out at $20. Overall, I paid $200 ($98 promo price plus $102 to the contractor). Would've done it myself, but needed a contractor to satisfy a home buyer request. Do your DIY projects BEFORE the home inspection! As to the work, I'm quite satisfied.
