Bovio Rubino Service

Bovio Heating Plumbing Cooling Insulation were thorough in their work and very neat. They helped us with getting the loan which was a no interest loan, they were pro-active in that, Knowing that they had to bring our house up to energy storer. I had no problems with them at all. Compared to others, we had maybe three or four estimates, compared to what they were giving us and the loan, I guess it was an A for the pricing. They were pretty available if we have questions or anything.

I found Bovio through Angies's List. I requested an estimate for attic insulation. A nice gentleman came out on a Saturday and looked over my attic. He was very polite and thorough. He stated he would email net an estimate within a week. I called the Friday after because I had not received any estimate. I was told the person who had come to the house had been sick all week but it would be done and emailed that day. It has been a month and still no estimate. Maybe something was miscommunicated somewhere because all the other reviews are great. I don't know. Needless to say, I am no longer interested in getting this done.

It did go well overall, we did get a good price and we were not contemplating a loan but they were willing and we qualified for a no interest loan so we couldn't pass that up. The payments are low and convenient. We did have a slight problem with our dryer door not closing at first and thought it was strange that Bovio tried to blame us for not having a proper closet arrangement for the washer/dryer when that was something they might have expected before they started the job. It did get resolved but it was annoying that they tried to shift the blame elsewhere, that's all. Everything was done in a timely and professional manner otherwise. We would recommend them and had their sign on our property for at least 6 months afterward to signify to others in the neighborhood that we were pleased with their work. We did have a stressful period after our oil tank was removed from underground. The situation was eventually resolved but it was not Bovio's doing (only that their subcontractor and our homeowner insurance company got into a war of sorts). I guess if I was Bovio I wouldn't as a business take on the removal of the oil tank if they asked me my opinion. We would have had to employ our own storage tank removal separate. The only other thing I might mention is that when the heat comes on in the middle of the winter the air being blown at first feels more like air conditioning than heat. I guess that might be just a matter of letting the furnace warm the air longer before it blows the air around. That is just my opinion. Perhaps we should have asked for an adjustment or at least questioned Bovio about that.

We found Bovio on Angie's List and couldn't be more pleased. They were very responsive when we called for an estimate and were quick to assess our needs and provide an estimate. We had received estimates from other companies as well, but my husband was very impressed with Ron Bovio and felt he really cared about giving us the best service at a great price. The other companies seemed more like just "sales guys". His team was very professional, neat and took great care in removing the old furnace from the attic without damaging the walls on our narrow halls. Our new heating system works great and we will definitely call them again for any heating/ac/plumbing needs.

Bovio is a very good outfit. The only small issue I would have and this goes for most contractors is that the call ahead to let you know they are coming usually never happens. It is tough when you get a window of time but told you will get a call when the tech is on his way and then don't get a call. This property was a rental property for me and luckily I was sitting in the parkling lot when the tech showed up. Other than that very good service.

Heater stopped working on one of the coldest nights and they came out late that night within 45 minuets and made the necessary repairs to have it up and running within an hour.

From the start to the end, all associates with Rubino were outstanding. Angela did a great job coordinating, Mike did a great job with the HVAC audit and Mike and Mick did a great job installing one furnace and two AC condensers. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them as well.

The installers were very respectful, informing me of every stage of the install. It was a five-day process and the guys were very thorough. They answered every question knowledgeably. They let us know how long a system would be down and did not leave for the day until the heat/hot water was back on. They found creative solutions for adding cold-air returns to the house. Any requests I had for aesthetics and convenience were met.

Superb !!!! I would like for Bovio Heating to keep our contact information. We intend to use them for all of our future heating needs. We highly encourage prospective consumers to use their services.

We will see if the valve continues to operate after the service. If it fails, I will not hesitate to call them back to replace.

They always do a good job. The service plan I purchased includes both systems for about $160.00. I pay the $160 in Oct., and this also covers the maintenance on the air conditioning in April or May.

Excellent job. I was in a situation where some plumbing companies could've taken advantage of the situation. My sump pump failed water in basement had to get it fixed, I was really in need. Bovio (Jim) came in had to do some extra work to remove the cover cut PVC piping etc... once in... replaced pump reattached the piping and it looks good... and it only cost me $325 minus the $30 Angie's List coupon. Pump seems to be working fine... Will recommend them again.

me It was amounting to be the coldest day of the new year. Wakeup in the morning and the furnace is blowing cold air and the temp is 59 degrees, Called Rubino service to come out (8am.). Serviceman Alan was here by 10 AM, when he started to check out the heater it was running flawlessly (go figure), upon further troubleshooting it failed for him numerous times(whew) traced it to a flacky igniter module and replaced it in a hurry at a cost of $350.00 , I thought that was a bit much, but It was needed, he also cleaned the burner electrode at a cost of $50.00. Knowing the it would cost for him to come out was about $90.00 total cost was about $500.00. We have been using their service for about 10+ years now and this is the first time we had to replace any parts, Alan was quick to solve the problem and got it back working. He was great...

We had guests staying with us over the holiday time and one evening (10:30pm on a Saturday night) we came home to find our sump pump broken and already submerged under 1 foot of water with the emergency pvc pipes filling up. We jumped onto Angie's List and contacted 3 different plumbing companies that advertised 24/7 emergency services. Bovio's was the only company that called back within 10 minutes and said they could come that night to repair the pump. We eagerly agreed and a few minutes later, the plumber called us back and asked us for our specific sump pump model so he could stop at the office and pick it up. This way, he wouldn't have to leave and come back another time in case ours needed to be replaced. He arrived within an hour of his original call back and got right to work. Our pump had burned itself out and needed to be replaced. We felt very fortunate that Bovio followed through on their advertised emergency services, as our sump pump, before it stopped working, was already flushing water constantly and we were expecting 2" of rain the very next day. We have no doubt that Bovio saved our basement from flooding. On a side note, one of the other companies that we called that Saturday night called us back on Monday late morning and asked when they could schedule to come out to look at our pump. Since Bovio came through for us in such a big way, we used them 2 more times for other work on our house. Including installing a new garbage disposal, sink, and faucet in our kitchen. This involved the plumber having to completely redo the plumbing under the sink. We paid around $285 for this work. After that, we had them come back and replace our furnace (a day before another polar vortex), because we had a crack in our heat thermal plate which could cause a carbon monoxide leak. The new furnace was $5900. All in all, because Bovio was very responsive and did high quality work for us in a time of emergency, we went on to use them for other projects in excess of $6300. Would we like it all to be cheaper? Of course. But in these instances, we got what we paid for and we are happy with the end results.

I called Rubino because our office heater was not working. They sent someone out in a timely fashion. After a couple of minute inspection, it was reported to us that the pilot was out and the unit was very dusty. The technician lit the pilot and removed the dust. He suggested a carbon monixide test since the unit was so old. We agreed. We were extremely shocked when the bill came to almost $300. 00 for 35 minutes of hiis time and such a simple fix! We called Rabino to complain about pricing and they would not budge. We called around to several other businesses and were told the standard charge for such a service would be $85,00 (trip charge only). We were VERY disappointed with Rabino. We were totally ripped off and would never, ever use them again.

Everything has worked well since then: especially great considering the single digit outdoor temps and multiple snow storms that we've had this winter. Air conditioning was not used yet, but I don't expect to have problems with it.

Provider tech was prompt and timely, courteous and knowledgeable, and provided seasonal heater system tune-up check, cleaning and assessment of thermostat errors. All appears satisfactory at this time. Tech provided info about what may be causing thermostat errors. Not a serious problem at this time. We will address remedies in the future should the need develop. At this time I feel comfortable enough with this company to call upon them again. Had previously researched them a year ago.

The service turned out very well. They came on time, they indicated that the job would be completed in one day, and that was the case, it worked out well, they were prompt, and efficient. They were responsive to questions and requests. They provided different services. There were some things that were missed, and they had to come back a few times.

They had been to the house to do routine maintenance, and I asked that person to look at the heating problem. He diagnosed a valve problem, which he addressed by turning the valve manually and saying it needed to be replaced. It turned out that valve was not related to the under floor heating. They sent someone else, who looked at the correct valve, did some work, and said it should be fixed. That was $300. Whatever he did was not successful in fixing the problem. We called, and they sent their "best" person, who worked on the problem for a while, did not charge additionally, and asked us to call if the problem remained. The problem was not fixed, but we did not call because, if there best person hadn't fixed it, we thought it was best to try someone else. We have used Rubino for years, and they do respond promptly and do the routine maintenance in a professional manner. This is the first major problem we have had, and they couldn't repair it.

I have full confidence in Bovio. They are incredibly professional and value customer service. Over the summer they installed a humidifier which has definitely made a difference over the dry forced hot air. They are a family owned company, which I also appreciate. Just resigned with them for an annual heating/ ac service contract.

Mike Rubino came to our home and sat with us for some time, going over all our options and answering questions (many questions) patiently. An energy audit was completed. As a result, the attic needed to be sealed in addition to the new HVAC systems. All work, including a heater and heat pump, was completed as planned. Angela coordinated the necessary paperwork and supplied phone numbers for getting a state rebate and a 10-year, interest-free loan. We were pleased with all aspects of the work. The Rubino staff, office staff to workmen, is always responsive, prompt, polite, and extremely professional. When in our home, they're neat and clean, booties and post-clean-up work included. Mike and his office staff are always available by phone and by e-mail.
