Sue Adler Team

Real Estate Agents

About us

As an “Outlier” who grew up in the Real Estate business, Sue has proven that it’s possible to start over in any market and succeed. She was formerly the #2 Re/Max agent in PA before moving up to Short Hills NJ and starting over in 2004. As a partner in the Keller Williams Short Hills, Summit, Chatham and Livingston offices, she quickly turned what was once “Sue Who? and “Keller Who?” into household names in the NJ Midtown Direct real estate community.

I hesitantly hired Sue Adler because she had documents saying she was the top seller in my area, because she said she knew my area better than anyone else and my area is where she mostly sold. My hesitancy was because her website gave the impression that she sold million dollar homes in various towns. When I brought that to her attention she told me "that hurts my heart" and how she'd change the website because that is not the impression she wants to give, etc. She seemed very passionate and invested so I said okay. Big mistake. Sue Adler does not have a clue of what's going on. She has a team that does all the work and all she does is parrot back whatever the last person said to her, including from buyers agents. Whatever negative thing they said about my house she repeated back to me as though it was her own thoughts. She told me what to list it for. As buyers began looking at it she started saying "It's drastically overpriced!" I said to her You priced it, remember? I had a whole issue with an underground oil tank that I had no clue I even had. I had to have it removed and the soil remediated. She never brought up these oil tanks and how many sellers of older homes are being faced with this. I would've looked into it BEFORE I put the house on the market. She talked about de-cluttering and window washing and repainting (all of which I did) but not a word about something that is a huge issue in today's market. I thought maybe she didn't realize it either. Then I see she has a whole blog about it on her website, one of the top 10 things to do. When I brought that to her attention she did what she always does. Tried to brush it under the rug or lie about her failure to mention it. My favorite was when I was having a medical procedure done and said I would not be available that morning. I come out of anesthesia to find voicemails and texts about the great offer I received on my house and to call her back immediately. ?This is the offer we?ve been waiting for!? All I saw was a low-ball offer, $100,000 less than what it was listed for. I finally call her back in the afternoon and she?s so excited on the phone. I?m saying to her I?m not sure why you?re so excited and right then and there she realizes that the first number of the offer was a 5 not a 6. Hey, everyone makes mistakes, right? Instead of apologizing profusely for making such an error and leaving these urgent messages she bursts out laughing. And tells me how she read it off her phone and the numbers were small and she didn?t have her reading glasses on. She thought that was funny? It was despicable and extremely unprofessional. Sue Adler cares about one thing. Sue Adler. DO NOT HIRE THIS WOMAN.
