+ -1 moreMy wife and I hired All Star Contractors to convert an attached garage into living space (about 250 sq ft) and we had an outstanding experience with them. Bill managed every step of the process (design, permitting, build) honestly and fairly, with excellent communication and reasonable pricing. The end result is exactly what we had hoped for. We first reached out to the company with a general idea of what we wanted to accomplish, and our budget. Bill understood what we wanted, and made many useful suggestions to help us create a room that was both aesthetically pleasing and practical, within the budget. The building process lasted about five weeks, with daily work done entirely by two members of Bill’s team (Derek and Mike), with Bill checking in daily to monitor progress. Having the same three people in our house allowed for excellent communication, and it was obvious how dedicated they were to their craft. Any time in the evening we’d see something that concerned us, we’d raise it with them the next morning and invariably they’d show they were already ahead of us and on their way to addressing our concerns. It made us extremely comfortable knowing that the end result would be excellent. As with any project, we considered small revisions in the middle of the process. When that occurred, Bill explained up front the projected costs, allowing us to make informed decisions about what would be worth it to us. Ultimately, the project was completed with great care and minimal stress, within our budget. I would recommend Bill and All Star Contractors unhesitatingly for a large or a small project.

+ -1 moreFrom start to finish, from first estimate to final inspection, working with All-Star Contractors was well above expectation. Bill, the owner/operator knows an amazing amount about home construction. 40+ years in the business. He was full of great suggestions, and his team delivered a beautifully constructed three-season room . You honestly can't tell that it was ever added to the existing home and the inside as well as outside is worthy of a home decorating photo layout. And pricing was well in line with other work which no doubt would have only been half as good. I can't recommend this outfit enough.

From start to finish, they demonstrated professionalism, efficiency, and a commitment to providing top-notch service. First and foremost, their speed and efficiency were impressive. The project was a full 1000 sq ft house renovation and it was completed in record time, a little over eight weeks. It's evident that they have a wealth of experience and skill, which allowed them to handle the job with ease and expertise. They were also extremely conscientious of the fact that I was living out of a trailer during the renovation. Throughout the project, they maintained open communication, keeping me updated on the progress and addressing any questions or concerns promptly. In fact I was surprised at just how much importance Bill places on communication. Their willingness to listen to my ideas made the entire process a breeze.
Description of Work: The 1000 ft house was an inhabitable wreck when the project began. Now I have a home! Kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms were all done by All Star. The quality of their workmanship and attention to detail truly showcased their dedication to delivering a top-tier outcome. Bill provided design insights for my kitchen and bathroom that I never even considered. I couldn't be happier with the finished product. One aspect that stood out was their fair pricing. Bill and his team working at our house were professional and listened to us to execute the vision we had for the design of our basement. The craftsmanship is top notch, and look great including custom barn closet doors, a beautiful reading nook under the stairs with shelves drawers and a sitting area, crown molding, etc. We are very pleased!

We never imagined that our basement will look this good despite the small size (we live in a townhome). Every space was made functional. Bill (the contractor) is very fair, always listen and give recommendations as needed. The price is appropriate for the excellent work done. Bill's crew is very hardworking and takes pride in his work - making sure that we will be pleased and always asked if there is anything or issue that needs to be addressed. We are in the process of lining up our next project with Bill. We will definitely not settle for another company for any work we need whether it is something minor or major. He also worked with the town's bureaucracy to revise designs so that everything was approved and permitted. The final product is a very well built shed that matches my house and met my goals for the project. His crew was great and kept me informed on the progress of the project. My equipment is secure and I'm saving a lot of money that used to go to renting storage lockers. I'm very pleased with the work that was done.
Description of Work: A free standing shed was built in in my backyard to store equipment as well as personal items. It needed to be secure, safe from the elements, and the design included a covered area on the side that I can use to park a lawn tractor. It looks like a small house and matches my existing house.

From providing feedback to what work needs to be done, how it should be done, providing options and making sure that what was done is up to his standard and that we would do at his own home. Among the things he and his crews have done are a kitchen remodel, new flooring, master bedroom suite addition, deck, siding, finished the basement, and a garage with a 2 story building attached with the first floor a dance studio and upstairs a game room. Bill is always responsive and listens to what the customer wants. He has always provided me with top notch service.

I felt a level of comfort and trust with the team that allowed me to leave the house unattended while they worked. I was surprised to see that they also fixed joists in other parts of the house that they felt were in need of repair. In addition they built a closet, spackled and taped the bedroom walls. They even painted the entire room, leaving it in brand new looking condition. All of these extras came surprisingly at no additional charge. Such service speaks to a level of pride and commitment All Star has to making a job look spectacular and beyond any intended expectations. All Star finished the project ahead of schedule and within budget.

One such obstacle was the installation of an extra-large bathtub not intended for a manufactured home. All Star was able to make custom modification to the tub’s support foundation, that allowed it to fit beautifully in a space that other contractors said was impossible. The All Star team was very polite and respectful and were a pleasure to be around. Bill the owner was there every day to ensure proper design execution. He also included extras at no additional costs. The entire team seemed trust worthy and delivered excellent results, which were far beyond our expectations. Description of Work: They built a shed - no problems so I contracted with them to build a new bathroom in my basement and install a new vanity, toilet and retile my master bath. It was an awful experience. From calling me last minute to say I needed to have my tile picked because they were starting the next day to bringing a vanity that was a floor model from a vendor that didn't meet the specs of what I gave him when I booked the job - then telling me I had to pay for the modifications made. The new counter top was scratched when it was installed and he wouldn't address the issue - I had to call the manufacturer directly. What the owner told me contradicted what the workers told me. A project that was supposed to take 3 weeks took more than three months. It was a nightmare working with the contractor and I would warn anyone considering him or any of the many names he goes by to find someone else to do the work.

He said he'd do the work for the insurance money that I received $1.700, but tried to bill me for the amount of the insurance before the $1,000 deductible $2,700 way over the cost of doing the work. He lied all the way through the estimate and is not trust worthy. Since i signed the contract taking his verbal word of doing it for the insurance amount i received, I had no legal recourse. + -1 moreRegarding All Star Construction of Hunterdon County, NJ I requested a proposal from All Star Construction in the summer of 2013 for both interior renovations and for several repair jobs on our property from Superstorm Sandy. When I received the proposal, I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the first bid was, and then I was even more impressed at their payment terms and the way the owner worked with us to make sure the project met both our and their budgets. The quality of the work was excellent in all areas and they actually overachieved both my husband and my expectations. They went out of their way to be congenial, professional and they were conscientious of how they left the job site in the evenings, on the weekends and particularly when the jobs were completed. I would give them five stars.

My first project was an addition for much needed space due to local flooding. Bill came over and designed a multi-use room elevated on piers for future flood protection. I was impresssed with the honest and friendly crew Bill assigned to the project. the design worked perfectly, the price was within budget and the quality was excellent. A year later saw us pumping water for the basement with one of the worse floods ever. all of our precautions on our basement wasn't enough but Bill's elevated addition was untouched,I called Bill and he promptly came out to price out the new damage, well the next crew assigned to us were better than the first. if you want a dependable,honest contractor , with great design ideas and excellent craftmanship call Bill at ALL-STAR CONTRACTORS H.C.
