Joe and Team at Village Sweep perform high quality work and are a pleasure to work with. They cleaned my chimney, replaced a rusted chase cover and patched my firebox. Their prices are very competitive and I would recommend them if you need a chimney professional.

Great, they went above and beyond. I had a piece of wooden shingle hanging out of place on my chimney and they fixed it for me at no extra charges

Told us we needed a second level inspection which costs another several hundred dollars. Called another company with whom I have worked to get a second opinion. Before I could tell the workers that the chimney had already been cleaned, they had started to clean again. I told them that the chimney had been cleaned just the day before and they were very surprised and showed me all of the evidence that it hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. Mind you, they weren't charging me for the cleaning (we had asked them to fix other problems they found). I called Joe at Village Sweep to say that I was not happy with having paid so much (found out after the fact from many other people that $225 is very high for a cleaning) for a service that wasn't performed fully. He was very defensive and just sought to discredit the other service provider. I am not only unhappy with the service provided but with the customer service response to my dissatisfaction.

I appreciate the fact that Jerry and Joe called me to let me know they were running maybe 10 minutes from their previous appointment. When they arrived, they made sure to lay down canvas tarps around the areas they were working on. They also put on protective covering on their shoes so as not to track soot around. They were patient and answered my questions in as much detail as possible. I will be using them to remediate the problem areas they've identified.

The tech, believe his name is Bernard, was very professional. He was very careful to be sure that blankets covered the area of work, wore booties to keep the floor / carpets clean and advised of all the items he would check and clean. We first used this company in 1979 and have continued with them since that time. I did try another outfit one year, but that turned out to be a mistake. The Village Sweep has always been on time for the appointment.

Before calling them I called my plumbing and heating company (Rudan....excellent company!). They advised I should have the chimney checked because the saftey switch on the furnace was "tripped". I called the Village Sweep and left a message. I think they called me back the next day, and I explained the situation. I made an appointment for the following day, and they arrived early. When they opened the vent leading from the Furnace to the outside Chimney, they showed me that the vent was partially blocked! Very dangerous situation. They proceeded to clear the debris, which ended up being a half bucket of soot and other debris. Would highly recommend this company. I get telemarketing Chimney cleaning companies calling the house offering their services and I always tell them I already have a Chimney cleaning service.....The Village Sweep. Highly recommend.

Made the mistake of requesting appt at the height of the winter season. But they were extremely responsive and gave me first Saturday appointment they have available. Did a good job at cleaning fireplace and flue and didnt try to sell me on anything I didnt need (as another company had done in the past which would have cost me $3,800 replacing a liner). Although price was much higher than past sweeps, they were recommended by my brother who had used them for several years and never had problem. Would definitely use them again but on a 2 year cleaning shedule.

No issues. Two individuals got the job done quickly and neatly. This company is better than the typical service you get with "$99 special" companies. So, not the cheapest, but better to go with professional, reliable service like this company (in my opinion).

It was my first time using the company and everything went well. One technician came out and completed the inspection in about 45 minutes. They gave us some suggestions on how to maintain the fireplace and safely use it. He did a fine job and was very helpful. I had no problem scheduling the service.

They came promptly on the early side of the 9-10 window. Worked for approx. 35 min. Cleaned up perfectly and were gone by 10.

They were absolutely excellent. They were extremely responsive. I called and they were here within twenty minutes. They did the repair at the same time that we were replacing the broiler. When they pulled the broiler out of the chimney pipe, they realized that the actual chimney was degraded and eating itself with rust so we had to have that replaced like basically at the same time. Given that the broiler guys were already here, we were worried that we were going to be without heat for awhile because it was right in the middle of spell hunting cold weather, and three guys came. They were here within twenty minutes. They met with the heating guys. They wanted to get here as soon as the heating guys were here. They wanted to talk to them so they came right away and they were here the next day to replace everything. It was definitely reasonable for that kind of job.

Very informative owner shared important info re care of chimneys and fire building and safety. Left techs to do work, which was swift and clean.

David was the consummate professional. He and his team showed up right on time, despite the inclement weather. They were all very friendly and his team got right to work, as he explained to me how to build a cleaner & more efficient fire, using the upside down technique; which we have been using for over a year now and it is phenomenal. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the service and as other reviewers have mentioned, he never try to sell me on anything. In fact, when I asked if I should have them back the next year, he said the chimney should be good for another three years. We will definitely be calling again in the future.
