The owner himself came out for the estimate. They gave me the best price and actually did a more comprehensive solution compared to the other companies that I had out. They saved me money where they could and did some additional concrete repairs for me. These guys are by far the best show in town when it comes to basement waterproofing. Flexible, easy to work with fairly priced and communicated well. It’s hard to find a contractor that does all of that, and these guys really knocked it out of the park. They cleaned up well, actually taking care of another contractor’s mess too.

I worked with Darek and Jerry from Jersey Dry Waterproofing because we constantly had water coming into our basement and I can 100% recommend them to anybody. Key things I want to highlight are the quality of work, their wiligness to customize their service depending on your needs, and their professional / non-commercial process (from initial consultation to final delivery). When we were shopping for basement waterproofing companies, we compared 3 different companies with high Google ratings in ther Jersey City area. Other companies had an overly complicated product, did not offer similar value for money, and/or were extermely commercial / aggressive during the initial consultation phase. Jersey Dry Waterproofing ultimatelely convinced us, because they took the time up front to explain all the work in detail. Darek came to our house twice to make sure he can best customize their offering to our needs. In addition, Jersey Dry was the only company that offered to take care of the building permit process incl. filings at the Jersey City City Hall. Once we signed the contract with Jersey Dry and after paying a small deposit, the team scheduled 3-4 days to complete the job. The constuction team was lead by Jerry and they did an excellent job keeping our belongings clean, reducing noise levels to a minimum (we had a baby in the house during the project and we didn't hear a thing), and keeping me up to date with progress. After 4 days, the job was completed and the team left the basement cleaner than they found it. One thing to highlight is that Jerry invested extra time to make sure that all our needs were met. In particular, we asked him to color the exterior discharge pipe and place it at a more difficult location than initially estimated. Our house had basement water leakage caused by storms for decades before I decided enough was enough and began to research and search for a solution which was the installation of perimeter French drains. I was also apprehensive and cautious to identify the right company who was going to dig up the basement floor in a nearly 100-year-old house. Initially I was planning to interview three contractors and after the third visit I was perplexed by the differences in their proposals. Each recommended a French drain trench along the perimeter of all four walls, but there were differences such as the placement of the exterior discharge pipe, the location of the trench relative to the furnace, type of piping, and duration of work. Regarding piping, one uses PVC; another the flexible perforated, corrugated plastic pipe; and another a grate system with a rectangular plastic piping. All estimates were within a similar cost range. These differences led me to contact a fourth; that was Jersey Dry. Darek Snella provided a comprehensive explanation detailing the scope of work and an estimate for the French drain and two sump pumps. He suggested insulating and encapsulating a crawl space as a separate project. Frankly, that was a sound idea and something I hadn’t thought about yet made perfect sense. At no time was there any sales pressure. The estimate was in line with the others. After I contacted quite a few of the provided references and heard lots of reassuring comments about Jersey Dry and Darek and Jerry, I called Darek and he returned to take exact measurements and to video the specifics of the excavation work. A modest down payment was given and a start date chosen. On the scheduled day, Jerry and the crew promptly arrived. He is a master at his craft as are the team members. Jerry kept me informed on the progress of the work at the start and end of each day. To my surprise, there was never a mess or any dust infiltrating from the basement to upstairs. At the end of each work day, the area was tidied. The noise level was well below than anticipated. Neatness, communicative, friendly and concern – attributes that made the project go well. The crawl space was insulated, leveled and encapsulated, providing unexpected storage. A note about the discharge pipe. Our town doesn’t permit cutting the curb to make an opening for the discharge pipe. One of the initial three contractors planned to extend the pipe to the street by cutting a section of the sidewalk and the curb. The other two planned on the outflow to end in the middle of the lawn. Darek (Jersey Dry) planned to excavate under the sidewalk for the discharge pipe and to end with a pop-up at the edge of the curb. No cutting of either the sidewalk slab or the curb. That’s what was done and it works without a problem.

We recently used Jersey Dry to waterproof a 100+ yr old basement, install a sump pump, and french drain system. They are very professional, tidy, and quick. Excellent value and they left the area quite clean and tidy when they were done.

Our semi-basement had been flooded by severe rain storms in past years. Jersey Dry gave us the most reasonable quotation for waterproofing (French drain and two sets of sump pump) with back-up system. The work was professionally completed in one and a half days. Since then we have had no flood thanks to waterproofing with back-up system even when we had no power for a week by Superstorm Sandy. When our 11 year-old water heater was broken and the water spread out from the bottom of the tank at midnight in January, the sound of working sump pump woke us up to tell the emergency. How smart it is! Jersey Dry did a great job and the receptionist (Megan) was very warm every time we called them. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

The price was reasonable. The workers arrived and showed me exactly what would be done. They arrived on time each day. The job was completed sooner than expected.

My finish basement has flooded 3 times since I purchased the house. I was tired of the sleepless nights everytime I saw a forecast of rain. I was referred by my manager at work and his basement got through Hurricane Irene and he did not have any water in his basement. I knew if he was happy with Jersey Dry, I would definitely be happy with Jersey Dry. I called for an estimate and was treated very professionally. Gregg showed up on time for the estimate and gave me a very detailed rundown on what they will do for me. I asked a lot of questions and he answered every question very thoroughly. He also provided pictures and a DVD of the entire process. We agree to the start date and received a call 2 days before to confirm the appointment. Derek and his crew showed up on time and was very careful with all my stuff, since it is a finish basement. They worked very quickly and professionally. They kept things very clean. He told me where all the plumbing was going and even offered to show me the work they did. Everyday when they were done he would let me know they were finished for the day. Total professionals! They were a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend Jeresy Dry to my friends and family.
