Thank you for considering G. DELUCA & SONS for your next masonry project. As a local, family owned and operated business we are known throughout the local area for delivering projects the right way,on time and on budget! We are convinced that is why so much of our work comes from referrals and repeat customers. The founder and CEO of G. DeLuca & Sons is Giacomo L. DeLuca, when Giacomo first started in the field he had just come over from Italy he did not know how to speak english and with very little money but despite these hardships he found a job working for a friend. For 5 years he worked for his friend and made it his goal to learn the trade and learn it well. Giacomo put careful detail into every brick he laid and every stone he placed. After 5 years of working for his friend, Giacomo knew it was time to start his own company. He ran the company for 20 years by himself until his two sons decided to take over. Giacomo's sons, Frank and Michael, were around and involved in the business, ever since they were old enough to hold a trowel! They saw the extra effort and care that their father put into every job and knew that someday it will be there job to take over the company Since joining the company, they have dedicated themselves to the family's outstanding reputation and continue to deliver the same quality project there father did for over 20 years. Frank and Mike have now taken over the company and continue to operate successfully. Both Frank and Mike went to school and graduated with a degree in building trades tech.

Description of Work: Mason work in removing falling & crashing very old 4 window wells and replacing with new 4 window wells; in addition, repairing crushing mason steps leading down the stairway from from the patio going to entry into the basement, where the aforementioned window wells work was done. Very pleased with how quickly they did the work, with high quality and a fair money I believe.

Description of Work: Our front porch brick structure was crubmling and the top which was a cement slab was all cracked and pock marked. They rebuilt the brick part and put a new bluestone top on it. Also, pulled up our paver pathway that was dipping and sagging and relaid the sand underneath and replace the stones. They responded quickly to the request, gave a very reasonable quote compared to others, and did the work in a timely manner. They did a good job and we are pleased with how it looks.

Description of Work: It's really what they wouldn't do that matters. Their ad says serving Union County, and there is a link on their website to request a FREE quote. FREE unless you live in Union the town, in Union County. Oh they'll give me an estimate for $25. I don't care if they offered to put the $25 towards the cost of the job. FREE should be FREE if I'm in your service area period. Deceptive advertising just put a bad taste in my mouth, so I decided not to use them.

We understand your frustration. We have that policy in place to help keep our overhead low so we can pass the savings on to our clients that do use us. We have found that over the years we are not competitive in some markets and decided that if we do go out there will have to be a charge to keep overhead down. We have had many serious clients pay us for an estimate because they did the research on us and want to use us because of our reputation. However I do not feel that we deserve an F 1) we responded to you, 2)We explained our policy to you in a polite manner. 3)I Frank DeLuca the owner of the business did put this policy in place to help my clients save money. As you can tell from our previous reviews this review does not reflect our work, professionalism or the way we do business. I understand your upset because you were not getting a Free estimate but if you think about it your F review has no Evidence to back it that we deserve an F. After noticing my chimney was leaking I called my parents to see which mason contractor they had used back in July for there patio. They told me it was G. Deluca & Sons and how great they were to work with and recommended for me to call them up and explain to them my situation. I called G. Deluca & Sons, there polite receptionist transferred me directly to the owner Frank Deluca after I expressed my emergency to her. After meeting with Frank I knew he was the man for the job. I didn't check his prices due to the emergency we had but my parents did mention he was the most cost effective when they were pricing out patios. He kept his word through out the project. His guys were a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality job at a fair price.
Description of Work: My chimney was leaking during and after the big blizzard we had at the end of last year. Frank Deluca came out the day I called to look at the chimney and give me a written estimate.
