Franks Painting

Frank and his worker did an extremely professional job from covering absolutely everything with drop clothes down to doing a dry/wet mop of the floors upon completion to make sure there was no dust left around. Our ceilings look absolutely fantastic and there's no evidence at all that we ever had any water damage at all. I'm extremely pleased with Frank's services and would have no issue using them again.

I have been dealing with many contractors in the last couple of months doing office and home renovations. Frank and his team were by far the best. They were ALWAYS punctual, friendly, professional, and reliable. On top of that they do an outstanding job. Their lines were clean, and the walls were like glass when they were done. I met with 4 other painters to get quotes but honestly Frank earned my business. His prices were right on and his eagerness to please the customer is next to none. I needed someone to come in the week of Thanksgiving and his guys were there to get the job done on a holiday week. I can't recommend using Frank and his team and higher. You will not be sorry. I have a "i don't paint" policy and I will be using Frank for many other projects in the future.

We have an 1870's house that needed exterior and interior work. Frank came by and gave estimate and introduced me to his workers. Both Frank and I were flexible with timing. He called the week before to ask if they could come and we set it up. Wilson and one other worker came by to do the actual work.The exterior work was completed in one day and was badly needed before winter set in. It is just a primer but that is all I needed at this time and it looks good and they hit all spots. Interior needed TLC due to possibility of lead paint. They took care to test and remove everything wrapped in plastic and made sure the rooms were sealed from the rest of the house. One bedroom needed a cleaning of loose existing material and then a few skim coats as well as priming and painting to both walls and ceilings. The second bedroom needed to have wallpaper stripped, some taping of new sheetrock (done prior) and some sheetrock repair. That room then needed 2 skim coats, primer and painting as well. Both room needed to have holes filled in door, and trim. The interior work was completed within 5 days. They showed up everyday on time as promised and cleaned up each night before they left. Tarps were put down to protect floors and walk areas adjacent to both bedrooms. Frank checked each day before work started and after they were done for the day to make sure I had no questions and that everything was proceeding as expected. Wilson also checked with me to make sure it was progressing and that I had no concerns. Some people might be worried that Frank was not there for this job. Don't be. Wilson is meticulous and cares very much about the work he does. I couldn't ask for more. If I could give these guys an A+, I would. Everything about them was top notch and the price was reasonable as well. I would not hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend them to others. They will be back in the spring to do more exterior work and perhaps do a large foyer as well.

Great job, painters even repainted after we decided to change colors!

Great (again)! Frank's team had done some previous interior work for me that I was very happy with so I hired his company to do exterior work that I needed. They were punctual, courteous, and just as importantly did a wonderful job. Since I recently purchased the home I did not have the colors needed, but they were able to match them perfectly. The trim work looks great and the paint on the cedar shingle siding and brick makes the house look so much better. I will definitely hire them again for any future interior or exterior paint projects.

Called Frank for an estimate, he was courteous and professional on the phone. He came right on time a couple of days later, gave us a good estimate and all explanations we needed. They came to do the work as planned and were very friendly. They did the job, cleaned up afterwards and we got what we paid for. I would recommend Frank for work in your house and would use him again.

Frank was really responsive, and he made my timing work. He came and gave me an in-person estimate, was always available and coordinated the job really well. The estimate was exactly what he originally quoted, even though we changed the specs a couple of times. He did a nice job and I'd recommend him.

Frank was very prompt in responding to my initial call and providing a timely estimate. The company was also able to start work quickly, within one week of my acceptance of his price/offer. The quality of the repairs and the paintiing was well done and looks great. I was very pleased overall. The only work that was not of the highest quality was their cleanup of the apartment after they completed the painting. I would rate that a B or B- because they had not completely swept and mopped throughout, requiring me to go through and do that myself. I would definitely recommend Frank's Painting to anyone that needed a painter.

After three other estimates and reviewing on Angie's List, we chose Frank's Painting because they had the best price by far. Needless to say, you get what you pay for. Frank's team did a nice job - we have received compliments on the house since it's been painted and it made a world of difference in the quality and showcase of our home. We did have some issues with Frank's team of painters though. First, and the one that made us most irate, Frank's team stole beer from our fridge. I know, it sounds crazy, but it happened and they admitted to it. The painters did the work prior to us moving in and when we went to check on the house, we noticed a 6-pack was missing. We called Frank and he said he would handle it. It wasn't so much that they would replace the beer as much as they stole from us and were drinking on the job. It left a really bad taste in our mouths. The quality of the job was good, and the painters came once to do touch-ups, but since they completed the job last month, we're constantly finding areas that were done poorly or without care. Paint is peeling, ceilings weren't done equally, they failed to sand areas that we specifically asked they take care of. And when they came to do the touch ups, they spilled paint on our carpets, bathroom rug, floor and brand new vanity. We told Frank and he apologized, saying the painter didn't have the cloths and other items he should have. Um, ya think? I will give the painters credit for working through the evenings and weekends due to the hurricane over the summer, but the job was not finished when promised, despite the weather. All in all, the work was done fine, though I would think twice about hiring Frank and his team again. While Frank was responsive and helpful, I would much rather pay more for a quality job with people I could trust in my home.

Within 24 hours of me contacting him, Frank was able to come by and give me an estimate for the work. We agreed upon a preliminary start date (I was willing to be flexible), and he was able to start even sooner than anticipated. His workers showed up each day for three days and did about one room a day including primer, two to three coats of paint, and edging. They even did some light repair work where a previous tenant had left some wall damage when hanging things up. Doing one room at a time allowed me to use the room painted the previous day as temporary storage for the stuff in the other rooms the following days. They asked me to move the little things out of the rooms, and this was fine. They were able to move the larger pieces of furniture where necessary, and they were careful in the process & didn't damage anything. Frank and his staff were very respectful and courteous and even tolerated my puppy getting in their way on many occasions. They cleaned up well after themselves. The estimate Frank originally provided was spot-on. Frank had to add $40 for an additional can of paint because my color choice was pretty dark and needed a third coat. Having someone do your painting for you is not cheap. Plan on spending between $400-$500 per room (tho lots of variables affect this), but in my opinion Frank & his crew make this expense well worth it.

Frank lives up to the other positive reviews on this site. He is extremely responsive, describes exactly what he is going to do, and then does a very clean job with good attention to detail. When Frank visited to provide a final estimate (which agreed with the rough estimate he gave based on floor plans and descriptions), I was concerned about various aspects of the job. He went over each case carefully and gave useful suggestions. I wanted the same color paint that had previously been used, so he took a sample and obtained a computer match for the same color. He used the correct type of paint depending on the room and surface, including oil-based paint where required. Overall, he and his team proved to be very competent, and I would definitely use them again.

My boyfriend and I wanted to do the job ourselves, so we went to get some eggshell paint (that was our mistake) and all the painting tools and started last Saturday. By mid Sunday we realized that we were doing something wrong and that it is a waste of time doing it ourselves. That same day we decided to sign up on Angie's list and called Frank. He was in the area so he came over 10 minutes after we called and gave us a free estimate. After some emailing he started painting on Tuesday and turned our messed up painting job into a wonderful painting job. Frank and his painters are very professional and friendly. I trusted them from the beginning and left the apartment each day in the morning since I didn't want to be in their way. I even gave them a pair of keys in case they needed it. Anyway, by Wednesday around noon everything was done. I came back home, inspected the place, asked for some minor corrections and done! They cleaned the floors with a broom and left. The only thing that I didn't like is that after the painting was done there was a lot of paint dust or something like that. So I needed to do some major cleaning afterwards. BUT that is something that will occur no matter which painter you choose and is natural. I would definitely recommend Frank and his team and I look forward to doing business with them again once we need a paint job. So give it a go!

Frank was very responsive to my telephone calls and came to our apartment to give an estimate the day after I called him. The job was done by two of his painters, who were both very courteous and responsive. They did an excellent job and were very neat. After each day of work, they cleaned up and did not leave a mess. Frank was not on the premises during the work, but he came by each day to check on the progress of the painting and to give direction to his painters. The work was completed in three days. Overall, I am very satisfied with the work they did and the paint job looks great. I would definitely use Frank's painting again and refer his services to my friends. As a side note, Frank also recommended a wallpaper installer, who did a very good job hanging the wallpaper in our master bedroom.

***Repeat Client***I have used Frank's Painting back in June 2011 for a paint job for my new apartment. He and his painters did such a good job, I also had him paint a smaller studio apartment I was selling and to also paint the exterior of a balcony in my new apartment. Aside from a crack on a closet mirror that occurred while it was moved, the paint job itself and wallpaper removal was well done; especially the balcony exterior paint work. Frank was accommodating and offered to do additional touch up work on the door frame of my studio apartment when it was discovered that it had difficulty fully closing after it was painted. All in all, it was solid work and I would recommend him to others.

Frank's Painting was great from start to finish. I initially called for an estimate and left a message. My call was returned the same business day by Frank himself. He was able to come to my home for the estimate that same week in the evening in order to accommodate my work schedule. He arrived on time and was very friendly and professional. I received an estimate for a few different jobs and decided to start with the interior work. Frank was very honest in giving me the estimates and even encouraged me to think about replacing garage doors rather than hiring him to paint them. The day of the job his team arrived early and got to work right away--again friendly, but professional. I trusted them in my home and headed to work. I received a phone call during the day from Frank to let me know the job was complete and if I had any problems/issues at all when I saw the work to contact him and he would take care of it right away. When I returned home, the job was beautifully done and the team had cleaned up completely. They even put the left-over gallon of paint on the correct shelf in the garage. I will definitely hire Frank's Painting again for the exterior paint work that I need and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Frank P. was very responsive from the beginning enquiry to the end of the job. He was knowledgeable, professional and pleasant to work with. I was impressed at how much work he was able to accomplished the first day; all by himself. Later, he had other painters to assist, but I was glad to see that he was very hands on with the entire project. Frank was present at the apartment for all 3 days the work took to complete, which is important to me, just to make sure the other painters were supervised correctly. Overall, the work was very thorough and detailed. He and his painters were definitely professionals. The work was completed on time and on budget. My fiance and I were very satisfied with the results.

Franks painting did a great job! They were very professional and efficient, even came back to do some touch up work. In the future, they will be the only company I will use.

After reading other positive reviews on Angie's list of Frank's Painting, I called to arrange an estimate. Frank was very responsive, and came out the next day to complete the estimate. His estimate was extremely fair and detailed, and we decided to hire his team. Frank and his team were extremely professional, trustworthy and friendly. They were punctual and all members of his team were hard workers. I never saw any of them take a break or slack off - they worked hard each day from the moment they arrived to the moment they left. Their attention to detail was extraordinary. They were respectful of the house and maintained clean work areas. Frank was flexible and willing to complete extra work that I requested after the original estimate. We could not be more pleased with the work that Frank's Painting did and will definitely use them again in the future.

Disagreements came the minute they walked in the house. His employee did most of the job over multiple days, and even if he was pretty nice and good they did not pay attention to details when finishing the job. As a girl I had a bad experience with this contractor.

Frank called me promptly back and we were able to meet in person for an estimate the next morning. After reviewing the job required, he gave me a quote on the spot, and we agreed to start the work the next day. He completed the work as promissed and always showed up on time. He had good attention to detail and the job was done with care. Frank was also flexible in accomodating some last minute change in colors, and was able to pick the new ones at the local store (I had to pay for the extra paint as we could not return the other ones as they were custom). Overall the job went very well, Frank was very professional and his price was competitive. I would recommend him for other jobs.
