We are a family owned mason company that provides you with clean, quality craftsmanship at an affordable price. We specialize in masonry, stone fireplaces, custom paver patios, gas fire pits with sitting walls, stone walkways, outdoor kitchens and pool decks. Proud Streak of 6 Years of a Super Service Award Company on Angi!
The whole experience with this company was nothing but professional, from start to finish. While this was a small job, we were not treated as if it were a small job. I called Anthony to get an estimate two weeks ago and asked if there was a slim chance of having the patio installed before my son's birthday party which was less than two weeks away! Anthony was booked for months, but managed to squeeze me in before the party. The whole process from beginning to end took less than two weeks - from receiving the proposal, orderign the bricks, installation and clean-up. I was really amazed that he came through for me and completed the job in a short amount of time. The patio looks amazing and I'm completely satisfied with my experience with Falletta. Anthony was extremely pleasant to work with as well as Danny and the other crew members. I would highly recommend this company to anyone interested in masonry work. It's so refreshing to know that there are good honest hardworking companies out there that really take pride in customer care and quality work. Thank you again, Anthony and I look forward to hiring you again in the near future!

We are very pleased with the work. Falletta came quickly to give an estimate and was able to schedule the work quickly. The workers were punctual and professional. The work performed was of high quality. They were as quiet as possible while working and cleaned up our yard when the work was completed. We will definitely recommend Falletta to others and will use them again if we have the need.

Anthony did an excellent job and we intend to use him again for additional projects. His estimate for the initial project was essentially the same as two other firms but I chose him because I felt like he'd be easy to deal with. Here are some key points: - Able to work around / coordinate with landscape lighting contractor; - Provided multiple suggestions and worked with me to get the "look" we wanted; - On site majority of the time to ensure quality; - Willing to fix issues that arose; and - Made certain site was clean when done. In short, Anthony clearly takes pride in his firm's work. I appreciated his advice on what the "right" thing to do was - no shortcuts or cover-ups. The project expanded beyond it's original scope because after seeing how great the steps were going to look there was no way we couldn't address the other areas near the steps. The only downside is we now have to upgrade our landscaping because it pales in comparison to the new steps.

I called in late winter and he answered right away. He said he would be by to take a look soon but at least three weeks passed before he did. At that time he gave me an estimate, I gave him a deposit and he promised the work done by the end of that month (which I believe was April). I heard nothing more and contacted him on three separate occasions when either he said he would be by soon or gave me a specific date and time and never showed. I finally contacted him and asked for the return of the deposit since it appeared he was too busy to do the work. He came the next day and did the work. The work that was done was excellent and for that, I would hire him again. The communication, however, was horrible. Although I know this was a relatively small project and also am aware that winter made many problems that put him behind, he made no attempt to contact me. That would need to improve.
Description of Work: Front steps had become loose after winter. They fixed them, cleaned moss out of the crevasses and replace a brick on the side door steps.

I called the contractor initially to set up an appointment, he picked up the phone right away the first time and we discussed what I needed to be done to my front steps. I had to call for the follow up phone call, I did get a call once that never connected and tried to call back with no response. He was to come by and look at the front steps and call back with a quote. This never happened and I moved on the the next Mason on my list.

Anthony's guys did an excellent job. Instead of steps in the front of our ranch house, we have a cement ramp (for wheelchair access). The house is about 60 years old which means the ramp is also that age and it was beginning to crumble on the sides. After reading the reviews regarding Falletta Masonry, I called to get an estimate on replacing the ramp. The good news from Anthony was that the ramp did not need to be replaced, it could be repaired at a much less cost. While he was here for the estimate, I asked about replacing a basement window well that was also crumbling. Anthony said yes he does that work also, plus he suggested putting window well covers on all six basement windows (some windows had no covers and others were covered with old screens to prevent our dogs from falling in), which we agreed to. We were given an estimate of $2,400. When it was time for the work to be done, Anthony called the night before and said they would be here at 9AM. They were right on time. Once they got here, my husband had a few additional requests - could they patch a small outside crack in the foundation and patch two additional large inside basement foundation cracks. That was no problem for Anthony and he set the men to work with the additional work instructions and all the work was done, as requested. The men were hard workers, worked neatly and quietly. I was impressed that before putting the covers on the window wells his men actually pulled out the weeds that were growing in the window wells and cleaned out any debris. When it was time to pay him, I asked what the additional amount would be for all the extra work - only $100, which we thought was extremely generous.

So it doesn't get overshadowed by other comments...let me give the headlines first. The work was well done, performed in a single day and Anthony and his crew were pleasant, polite, professional and skilled. They worked hard, cleaned up after themselves and the results were great. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again which, of course, is the ultimate test. About 5 years ago, I noticed that the brick facing on the front of our home was pulling away from the wall; leaving a gap for water (and critters) to accumulate. At that time we had the wall sealed and repaired. Unfortunately, the temporary patch was penny wise...but pound foolish. The wall began pulling away again...and this time it was worse. At the time of the estimate, Falletta Masonry was going to repair the wall (again). However, when they showed up for the work (two months later), the condition of the wall had deteriorated. Anthony showed me how the facing had never been properly connected to the house when it was builit (1970) and that it could easily be pulled down. They would patch again...but could not guarantee the work. They could, however, completely demolish the wall and rebuild...all in that day. However, the cost would be an ADDITIONAL $1,500 beyond the estimate price. At this point, I felt I really had no choice and told them to proceed. The crew located and matched the brick. Once they did, they demolished the wall and rebuilt...all in one day. I did feel that the price for the chimney repair was somewhat high but, again, I'm hopeful that this repair will last longer than the one I had several years ago. However, be advised. If you don't have the patience...or the time to wait for service...Falletta Masonry may not be the contractor for you. Their "dance card" is pretty full. From the date of the estimate (6/10/14) it was almost 2 full months before the work was done. A week of the delay was due to weather (it must be dry...and no rain threatening...to work on the chimney). However, the service "windows" proved to be overly flexible and resulted in long waits. In most...but not all...situations, I needed to call them to find out if they were coming. However... Anthony never ducked one of my calls. He either answered immediately...or returned my call within 5 minutes. While I would have preferred that he consistently notify me when he was going to be significantly late, not playing voicemail (because he answered or got back to me quickly) is to be valued. However, if that kind of thing drives you nuts...then consider another contractor.

We recently bought a loft apartment and felt it really needed the exposed brick wall look to complete it, so we called Anthony. We had a lot of time, but a big deadline as we were having a immovable wall system installed near the wall so we needed it done in time (about 6-8 weeks away). Anthony was initially a little hard to get ahold of, but once we realized both of us were texters everything went just fine. He came round to do an estimate, having already told us how busy his work schedule already was, and was very helpful in getting us brick samples and advising on what would look better. Even though he wouldn't be able to squeeze in the entire job before our deadline, he was able to get a crew around to at least do the part that would be inaccessible in time. Then to our surprise he was able to get us in only a few days later to complete the job over about 4 more days (hooray bad weather!). We ran into the crew working a number of times and they were very courteous and polite. The mess was enormous, but as expected when you're working with dusty, dirty stuff inside an apartment. It happens, and we appreciated the efforts they made to keep the disruption to a minimum. The wall looks incredible! Not cheap, but having seen the amount of work required to pull this off, it seemed reasonably fair and we are very happy with the results.

Overall, it went well and Anthony was attentive to the job. He had to come back to fill the gap between the steps and the sidewalk, but it was done in a timely fashion.
Description of Work: Pointed the brick steps in the front of the house, and replaced bricks that had been broken. I had some bricks from the original installation 35 years ago, but there were other bricks that were needed. Anthony found bricks that matched those in the steps. There was a gap between the concrete platform at the top and the bricks that bordered that plaltform. This gap was filled in with a clear filler. Anthony had asked me if I wanted the color of the concrete to match the existing concrete, but I said no, I am sorry that I did not match the color.

I am writing this letter to thank your company, Falletta Masonry Inc., for the job well done on replacing our siding on the front of our home with real veneer stone during the month of March 2014. The work your company did was fabulous and we are extremely thrilled with the final product. Your company has transformed our home from a standard spec home to a show piece on the block. My wife and I love pulling up to the home and admiring the amazing transformation. Mr. Falletta was professional from the first day I called. He was prompt for our initial meeting and provided us with multiple references of similar work that was recently completed. He provided us a quote within in a couple of days . Anthony always showed up on the job site to ensure a smooth work day and that the daily progress was to our satisfaction. His crew was committed to the job and worked hard to complete the project on time. Again, my wife and I would like to express our gratitude in providing your 100% in completing our project. We would not hesitate to refer Falletta Masonry Inc. to others who are in need of a quality mason contractor.

Overall the project was a success. Once we were both on the same page and knew what to expect from each other there was smooth sailing. Unfortunately the project turned out to be much more involved than we first thought. After the old steps were demolished Anthony discovered that the footings that should have been there, were not. This required an unanticipated extra cost plus additional excavation and placement of new footings. When the contract was written the estimate was predicated on existing footings being present. Anthony addressed every concern along the way and made some really insightful recommendations that weren't in the original contract but made the project so much better. You could tell he had a genuine interest in the project turning out better than we anticipated. Neighbors have come by to comment how beautiful the project turned out. We couldn't be more pleased in spite of the added cost. It was money well spent which we will recoup when we eventually sell our home. I would recommend using Falletta Masonry to anyone that asks for a referral..

Previously I successfully used Faletta for my front steps repair. However, this job was a far different story. This was a simple retaining wall base filled with bluestone, however, it was incredibly difficult to schedule. I sent in my deposit over a month in advance but simply could not get an install date till 3 days before the pre-fab shed was to be delivered. At one point I called Faletta and told him I need a firm date or cancel the job. Down to the last week before shed delivery he said it might be Mon. or Tue. but did not happen till Thursday. Faletta himself never showed up on the job just his crew. The job was supposed to be 1 day to complete but took 2 days due to foul-ups delivering materials and a driver getting lost. The 2nd day the full crew did not show up, just a couple of guys to do clean up and finish the work. There were some quality problems with some corner joints not being square. IMHO, it is upsetting to have to point such things out to professional masonry workers. One of the cap stones had a 3/4" pockmark about 1/2" deep. I requested the capstone be replaced and they replaced it next day with a stone where color did not match well. Faletta said he would arrange to fix this in a couple of days but then I did not hear from him again. Frustrating! Cleanup after the job was not good. They left about 200 pounds of excess blue stone scattered on the ground which I had to clean up. I allowed them to bring their 15 ton truck onto the property with the understanding they would repair tire ruts in the newly graded yard. After the job they did not really want to fix the ruts. When I refused to pay till the ruts were fixed they finally did fill in the tire ruts. Around the same time I scheduled this job, I sent Faletta pictures of the water damaged concrete piers in my crawlspace to get an estimate for these extra repairs. He said they do foundation work too. The idea was to get both jobs done at the same time thinking this would be easier to get scheduled. He never responded to this estimate request. I sent the request again 2 weeks later, still no response. Frustrating! While the job shed pad itself was ultimately completed reasonably well, the overall experience was stressful and not something I wish to go thru again. I will never use this contractor again.

This will be the second job we did for the homeowner. When I was contacted the second time I explained we are booked for the month but I will squeeze it in being it is a 1day job, wether it be 3 weeks before the shed delivery or 1day before. We were give permission to drive the truck on the grass being the homeowner was getting topsoil put down the week after. During the job a few small issues came up and they were all addressed properly at that time. When the job came to an end I asked the homeowner if everything was GOOD, and that's when the one stone was brought up. I sent my guy back the same night at 8pm to swap out the stone and make sure the job was now 100%. I then called homeowner and asked him again if everything was GOOD, at that time I was told yes. Based off my conversation with homeowner I was leaving the job to his liking and approval. I guess not, 2 months later this review. I believe I was left a poor review because I did not accept the 3rd project offered to me because of my busy schedule.

This is a follow up to the original review. I have a concrete stoop about 10 feet long by 6 feet wide. The stoop has cracks in it and I was looking to get the cracks repaired and have a skim coat applied so that I could apply a seal or paint and make it look a little more inviting. I purchased a Big Deal for masonry repair and Anthony called me back right away. We went back and forth a bit and eventually scheduled a date for him to come out Wednesday July 9th for an initial quote. We played phone tag for two days after that and by Monday we still could not get in touch with each other. I called Angie's List and they were able to get in touch with Anthony and he called me back right away after that. At that point he gave me a verbal estimate which I thought was fair and he seemed confident that he could handle the job. He understand that I was not looking for a complete overhaul of the stoop but a repair to get few more years out of it. I offered to provide a deposit for materials but he declined saying we would settle up after the work was completed. We scheduled a date for August 15th for the repairs, as he had some other jobs in the area that he could consolidate into a few days worth of work. I was not in a huge rush to get everything done so that date was agreeable with me. I took August 15th off of work, expecting Anthony to show up at the agreed upon time of 9:30 am. By 10:30, he had not arrived and I knew something was wrong. I called him at noon to find out what his plan was. He said that "his guys should have been there at 10:00 am." Well, they were definitely not here and I was so flustered I did not even think to ask why he wasn't planning on completing the project himself. He ended that conversation saying he would find out where his crew was and get right back to me. At 2:00 pm, he called saying his crew was supposed to be at my house that morning but he could not get in touch with them. He offered no other explanation nor did he ask to reschedule. At that point, I figured he really never planned on doing the work so I told him that we would just part ways. This is more of a rhetorical question but why can't a contractor just be honest and say they don't want the job instead of wasting a month of your time? I called Angie's List shortly after that and explained my situation. They were nice enough to refund my Big Deal purchase even though there is a 30 day refund period on Big Deals. So, back to square one with a cracked stoop.

I don't know if it was because our job was small, but when we chose to replace one square of a walkway instead of the whole thing, they became difficult to schedule with. My father asked if they could do the work on a certain date and was laughed at and asked what the rush was. When we finally scheduled, they just plain DID NOT SHOW UP on the day. No calls, nothing. (We don't live at the property, so we didn't know until we heard from a neighbor that they had not been there.) I wanted to dump them immediately, but we were under a time crunch for insurance purposes, so my father wanted to stick with them. We were able to get a contract to submit to the insurance so that we were no longer in need to immediate work, and then they just...said they would get to it eventually. We were never called again about when they would be doing the work. I only found out it got done because the neighbor took pictures and sent them to me. We didn't hear from the company until a WEEK after that, when they requested immediate payment. Like, the same day. The random, arbitrary day a week after the work was done (with zero communication during that time).
