+ -1 moreGreat job! It has been a year since the installation was completed. For the first time in 25 years we have functioning conditioning and heating on the second floor. The redesign and the geothermal system will have a positive return in comfort and investment. Geothermal is a high upfront cost but will pay for itself over the next few years. Jeff and his son Jacob worked diligently through the entire project, explained the theory and the practical aspects of the job very clearly. Everything was neat and tidy. We had one issue with the geo unit this winter - a manufacturer parts failure. Jeff arrived immediately to remedy the problem. He checks in periodically to see if things are going well. He clearly stands by his work. I highly recommend J Zanes and Sons.
Description of Work: Jeff designed and installed a 2 zone geothermal system for our home. He redesigned our air flow especially for the second floor with new air ducts and returns. He provided estimates for a lateral geothermal system(lines carrying fluid laid in trenches) and a vertical system(lines inserted in wells). We chose the vertical with four 180 foot wells. He engaged and managed the well driller and a subcontractor for items like old duct removal, cutting holes in the exterior attic walls, and crafting new external attic venting. He also installed an attic fan. Work was done during the summer of 2013. We work from home so we needed air conditioning and Jeff provided very good temporary units.
