I stopped in the showroom, great selection, initial estimate was good. David scheduled an appointment to measure, came to the house and measured. He said he would have estimate by the next day. Well, 2 days later I called and left a message for him to call me with an estimate. No response, I called several times over the course of three weeks, with no response. So I stopped in, David was not in, I had asked if he was away and his partner said no, he is out of the office right now. When I had asked him why he had not returned my phone calls with an estimate, his response was "TAKE THE HINT". When I asked him what that meant he said again "TAKE THE HINT". Very unprofessional. This job was for an elderly woman who is in the process of redoing her entire house, a two family. She has had contractors working there for the past two years and was ready to give LOBATO FLOORS all her work. He lost a big job due to his unprofessional manner. WE TOOK THE HINT!

Lobato has a large selection of carpeting, wood & laminate floors to chose from in their showroom. With David's help I chose Pergo Vintage Home laminate flooring. This is NOT the same stuff that home improvement stores sell. It's a better quality sold only through independent flooring stores. After looking at what the home improvement stores & hearing horror stories on the internet about Pergo floors supplied/installed by a home improvement store. I decided not to buy from them. I also checked out a flooring company: I found their price to be too high. David came to my home to measure & we set a date for install. Installers arrived on time, ripped up & disposed of old carpeting, installed new flooring & left the same day. They worked through lunch so they would not have to return the next day. The installers were pleasant to deal with & clean. Their English was not very good (they speak Spanish) but managed to communicate well enough with me to get the job done.
