AMERICAN DISCOUNT FENCE

We received several quotes for this job. We never go with the lowest and we never go with the highest so that left us with three companies to choose from. We are very satisified with the job. They left the ground around the pool a bit messy but we were made aware of this before signing up for the work by the salesman. I could not be happier. You get what you pay for and we may have paid a little more but well worth it

My partner and I called a few fence companies. We liked this one initially because they quoted us the lowest price by far over the phone. We decdided to have them send a guy out to our house. The price ended up being a little bit higher then we were told but we didn't mind since the estimate explained to us the concrete they would need to drill through. The other company we had out did not even mention that to us. From the initial phone call where we were even told the brown color of the truck to expect at our house to the presentation on site and the final product it was a job well done. We will gladly tell others about our experiance

American Fence called two days before the install was to begin. I had a problem getting some debris cleared from the fence (my husband was to arrange that & had a heart attack before he could). I called to try to postpone the installation. I have to say that the gentlemen on the phone (not John Di) was not very nice stating that it was 10 minutes before 5 but he would put the job on hold and if I would call in the morning (Sat) we could work it out. In the meantime, I managed to get someone to clear the debris without having to postpone the installation. I called at 9:15 AM the following day, no answer. I called again at around 11:00 AM and was told that my slot had already been given to someone but they would call me back. I was very upset by this. They did call me back and installation began as originally scheduled. I was told by John that American Fence likes to have someone to be with the installers when they start the job & again to approve the completion. That was fine. I was told they would be out at 8 AM. The installers arrived at around 11:30. I understand picking up materials, traffic etc. can delay things but I really didn't need to be waiting around for them to arrive for 3 hours. They really didn't need me at all to begin the job. The installation took 2 days. The Installers were very nice and the fence looks great. Admittedly, I was in a hurry to go to the hospital when they completed their work and really didn't take enough time to look at the job. The fence looked great and later when I had the time to take a better look I notice a 6" gap from where the fence ended and the house. So I called to see if they would fix it. John was very nice about it. A week later and after another call they came out and installed an additional post. That was fine but they couldn't bother to put a $2 cap on it. I wasn't going to call about something so minor and I went to Lowe's and purchased the cap myself.

Our installer Mike, was super nice and really worked hard to install our fence despite the weather and a gas line issue. He did an excellent job installing our fence and was very friendly. The quality of fence is excellent. The fence is beautiful and really makes our backyard standout. I would recommend them highly and definitely use them again.

Called and spoke to John D for a rough estimate around the 2nd week of March 2016. John from sales came out to my house to confirm the materials and labor required to give a final estimate on March 16th. I expressed that I wanted to have the work done by the end of March if possible. They are very busy this time of year and told me they might not be able to as they were running 4 weeks out for scheduling. Still they attempted to work with me to make that happen. Got lucky with the weather, so Junior and his team were able to start the fence installation on March 30th. They quickly removed the old wood fence and started installing the new one. It looked like they would finish the same day, but the 2 gates delivered were a different style than the fence. (if Junior didn't point it out to me, I may not have been able to tell) But, he said they would get the correct gates and be back the next day to finish. As promised March 31st the correct gates were installed. The job was done beautifully! John D, John, Junior and his team were all friendly and professional. In a time when it's so rare to see great customer service, they went the extra mile!

It went ok. They did have to come back out and fix stuff but they were very good with that. Overall it looks very good and they did a good job.

I ask for 2 gates only received one I have to get priced out again for the second gate also the gate looks uncentered. UPDATE: I forgot to mention that you only can get your Angie list discount after you fill out a review so I will be looking for my refund.

We couldn't be happier with the entire transaction! John and Justin were our contacts and both were as professional yet friendly as can be. They are very busy so I suggest you book well in advance but this is common with companies that do great work, don't overcharge, show up on time and go out of their way to make sure you're happy with the job. We have a small dog so the installation guys purposely put the fence a little lower than normal so she can't get out. And, we had a tornado come thru two hours after our install and a huge tree branch fall on the fence - John sent the guys out the following day to repair it. Amazing service!!!! You can't go wrong with this company.

This was a LOWES fence install and quite naturally, as expected, subbed to an outside contractor, American Discount Fence. All materials were furnished by LOWES. ADF subbed to another contractor who had no idea what to do or how to do it. He was a bit confused by the product. Finished fence was to be 36" high. It varies between 33" and 36". 4x4 treated wood posts supplied but not used on corners and cut to short for gates. The vinyl gate post were installed incorrectly, the vinyl gate posts were installed first then the 4x4 wood post was cut and slid into the vinyl post. Corner posts had no wooden 4x4 installed. After a wait of 5 days gates arrived and were hinged wrong and installed wrong. 30 bags of concrete supplied but not used as prescribed by procedure and taken by the contractor. The contractor poured half a bag of dry cement powder into holes and backfilled with dirt saying, when questioned, it is how they do it. (He then went back with a bucket and poured a bit of water on each post to appease me.) The instuctions on the bag said to add water then set the posts. The left over 4x4 posts and 3, 8 foot unused fence panels and a pallet, 30- 80 lb. bags of dry cement were taken by the contractor. Subsequently because of other complaints ADF is no longer a LOWES represented fence installer and removed from their list as an installer. Lowes has been really great about making everything right and will correct the problems.

We scheduled an estimate in April and Justin was prompt in coming out to give us the estimate. The contract was signed and the deposit check was cashed by May 13th, we didnt get our fence installed until June 19th and 20th. We had to keep calling to get an update on the date of the install. Despite the lack of communication, Mike and his crew showed up promptly and were very professional and nice.Mike went over everything with us and cleaned up the area before they left. The fence looks great!!

My experience with American Discount Fence was positive throughout the process. Justin did the estimate and was very professional and courteous. I met with a few fence vendors and American Discount had the best prices, so we choose to move forward with them. It took about 3 weeks for the scheduling to take place (I had to call to get it on the books), but once we coordinated, it was done very smoothly. A 2 man team got it done in 2 days and we are quite happy with the results. John D was also very pleasant to work with on the phone. I would recommend using this company for your fencing needs.

After speaking to someone at American Discount Fence, they came out the next day to look at our fence and gave us a price. That was to remove and take away our old fence and poles and to replace everything with new PVC fencing and poles. They told us it would be about two weeks to notify the county and get permits before the fence could be installed, It only took 4 days. Our installer was Junior and he did a great job. Took out the old fence and replaced it with the new PVC fence and PVC Aluminum Poles. He and his helper cleaned everything up, took the old fence. I could not asked for a better job, it looks great. If you are going down the list don't, American Discount Fence was the only fence company that followed through everyone else called me I told them what I had and they never got back to me. I looked up the price on the internet and I figured it was going to cost about $14,000.00. The price from American Discount Fence was $9800.00. It was a good price for and excellent job. As they were putting up my fence a lot of people stopped to get information about American Discount Fence. I hope they get a million dollars worth of work cause that's the job they did for me. We got two quotes. The other one was double the price because they were going to use all new parts rather than reuse what was still in good shape. The fence was damaged by falling trees. Justin arranged the repair, no problem. A subcontractor came out to do the actual work, no problem. He was in and out in a few hours. Looks good, well worth the money.

It went great! They day he came out to give an estimate, I had fallen on black ice and hit my head. John Bachmann saw a big goose egg on my head and offered to take me to the hospital or doctor. I told him no, but I appreciated it. They are great to deal with. I recommend them to anyone

My initial call was promptly returned by Justin and scheduled an estimate within a few days. He arrived on time, was pleasant, and very knowledgeable about his trade. He made suggestions and gave advice about my idea to fence in a section of my back yard. Justin provided a rough estimate and told me to stay flexible because of the extra work needed to place the fence where I wanted. I paid half of the price to lock in the quote he offered. Took almost a month for the fence to be installed, but it was due to mother nature and an unresolved property line dispute with my neighbor. I do not recall who installed the fence, but he showed up one day to drop off the materials. Since there was a break in the bad weather, he began to erect the fence on his own. Did a great job and got pretty far. He scheduled with me to come back on Sunday and finish it. The installer kept me informed of anything that would come up and asked how I wanted things to look and where to be placed. The fence was completed the same day and I paid the balance once I was satisfied with the work. It looks wonderful! I originally was not intending to have a fence, but with two new German Shepherd puppies, it became a must. I am glad I went with American Discount Fence, and so should you.

From the very beginning American Discount Fence was great. We gave them a call and they were out the next day to give an estimate. They were great about providing input on what would work best vs what we were thinking and made things happen. We had waited a few months before we moved forward with the installation, but AMF were great and maintained their original quote. We were delayed a bit due to snow, but as soon as things even cleared up a little bit, they were out and starting the installation. It took them a little longer than expected, but that didn't matter to us. They managed to get all of the old fencing out and installed within a matter of 1 1/2 days. We really are thrilled with what they were able to do for us. Oh and we managed to get a free gate out of it with the Angie's List coupon.

Justin Weir and Adolph Biernacki were both friendly and professional. My yard looks great!

Ultimately, the gate we need has to be done by a general contractor, but they were helpful.

We wanted a porch and front step railing that was maintenance free, and so we were looking at vinyl for the railings.. Unfortunately our house has a rather unique set up and Justin advised us that it could not be done properly with vinyl. Although his advise lost them a job we truly appreciated his honesty and would recommend American Discount fence to others. They were friendly and very informative.

They kept me informed about arrival, installed fence in spite of running into the problem of an old unused pipe in area and cleaned up the property when finished. They were very conscientious.

Excellent , mike and his son were total professionals. They were always on time answered all our questions and concerns. They completed our job in 4days. Unbelievable! This was a big job 95 by 150 lot. Extremely happy with the results . Lots of compliments about how nice of a job the installers did, and how nice the fence looks.

Came right out and gave me an estimate that was much lower than anyone else I contacted. Told me it would take 3 weeks to get fence in stock. They called 3 weeks later and came out and did the job. Quick and easy. Hauled away the old fence.
