At 11:30am I called the my customer rep (Susan) because nobody had showed up yet. Susan panicked and put me on hold so that Kevin (the ops manager) could help me. Kevin noted that I had no appointment set up, but was able to pull a guy off a job in Elizabeth and get him to my house right away. 30 minutes later at 12:15pm, a young man named Billy, arrived at my house. I left the office so I could meet him and showed him exactly what I wanted him to do. He said no problem, but he might have to return another day being that he had to leave at 3pm (reasons unknown to me). I went back to the office and told him to call me if he needed any further information. Never heard from him, so I assumed everything was going great. When I came home, the 1st thing I noticed was that he left his tool bag in my basement (oops). Then I looked at my alarm panel to see it left open with long wires hanging out of it and sloppy connections. The system was working, so I assumed that he had to leave at 3pm and would return at a later date to clean up the job. I called him on his cell phone to let him know that he left his tool bag and asked him when he would return to finish the work. He said he was done, and I told him that was nonsense. He didn't understand what my issues were and I told him he better come back and look. After hanging up with him, I called his office to complain to the ops manager (Kevin) who avoided my call, and my customer rep (Susan) who avoided my call too. Union Alarmtronic LLC has horrible customer service, and sloppy service techs that don't have company vehicles (BIlly was driving an old Subaru). If you are considering doing business with this company, don't do it. I unfortunately got stuck with this company after the original small company I was using was bought by Union Alarmtronic. This was my 4th service call with Union Alarmtronic. Out of the 4 times I dealt with them, this was my 3rd time being dissatisfied with their service. To Susan's credit, she desperately tried to convince me to let Kevin come out to the house and make sure the wiring was done to my satisfaction. However, at the point I had already made the decision to buy my way out of the Union Alarmtronic contract. I told her no thanks, just send me an invoice for the work done and the remainder of the contract.
Description of Work: I needed 3 hard-wired alarm lines for my system replaced due them being damaged from construction work in my basement. The 3 lines were for my garage door sensor, the alarm siren, and my upstairs keypad. I wanted the 3 lines replaced and run neatly back to my alarm panel in the basement. I called 1 1/2 weeks ago to schedule an appointment for today, 10/27/11 between 8am-11am, and everything was set up.
