I simply asked him to make an appointment so that when the tech comes, he can give me better explanation of the type of heating system. Inpatient, Rude, unprofessional. Hanged up on me. "If you can't explain the full detail of what the heating problem is ....., he hanged up. omg! will never call or use them again.

Description of Work: PM Pool Service provided opening/closing and weekly cleaning/maintenance service on my inground pool. I found them to be professional and reasonable. They knew my system. One summer I used a different provider and lost 6 weeks at the end of the season due to the fact, the provider in an attempt to "save" me money did not service my filter correctly. My pool turned green and it took approximately 6 weeks to get it clear. I went back to PM Pool service and never had that problem again. As I say, you get what you pay for. The other provider also damaged my pool after closing it for the winter with the misunderstanding about my automatic cover. PM Pool knows their business, their personnel are professional and willing to assist in any way possible. When I sold my home, I recommended PM Pool Service to the new owner.

Description of Work: They have been servicing my pool for 21 years. I would not use anyone else. |I have the cleanest pool in town. I never have a problem worrying if it's safe. All service calls are answered promptly & repairs made promptly. Workers are always friendly. PM pools is an easy company to work with and I have recommended them to my friends. |

+ -1 moreMy husband primarily deals with them and finds them to be an OK service. Some of the pool techs that have been sent out have left a little to be desired. We’ve contacted management to request that those techs not be sent out again. One was careless with not disposing the container the chemicals came in and this was unsafe as we have two small children. Scheduling works fine and you receive a discount as to how early you open your pool. The earlier you open the pool the greater the discount. In 2013 and 2012 we needed some major parts replaced and felt the pricing was a little too high with them.
Description of Work: They took care of opening our pool. We’ve been using their services since 2011.

+ -1 moreI think they’re one of the better providers in the area for pool service however they’re prices are higher than others. The service is inconsistent with them.
Description of Work: There was an issue with algae in my 10 year old pool and I feel they misdiagnosed the issue at the consultation/service call. They seemed to go with the more extreme cost fix of replastering the pool. I had hoped that they would have run more diagnostic tests on the water, etc. They didn’t supply a satisfactory explanation and didn't consider a range of solutions.

Description of Work: I have been using PM Pools for over 20 years. They Open & Close my Pool. They provide Weekly Cleaning and all the Maintenance and Repairs that are needed. My pool is always clean & ready to use. I have had tile work, replaced pool equipment, converted to a salt water pool, etc. Al Izzo (the owner) keeps up to date with everything regarding pools. I would not consider changing my service to any other company.

Description of Work: Their service this season has not only been terrible but has cost me to repair the damage they caused. Beginning with an opening that resulted in further expense, then repeated mistakes, including infecting my pool with mustard algae. They used to be a good service, but their quality control has been a disaster. They send untrained personnel Their pricing I have discovered is way more than competition.

Cost me to have $3500 of digging because they claimed a pipe failed to hold pressure when it actually did when they tested it again. Their mistake, my bill. Tried to bill for unauthorized work. Way overpriced on repairs.

+ -1 morePM Pools opened and closed my pool last season. Since the service cost is almost twice the competition, I figured they must be good, because you usually get what you pay for. In this case, you pay a lot, but you don't get good service. At closing they did not drain the pipes properly. The pipe between the filter and the heater burst during winter. PM Pools promised to come out to look and possibly repair the damage. I waited all day for them, called the office a number of times, and was told that a mechanic is definitely coming out. They did not show. I am never using PM Pools again and suggest you don't either.
Description of Work: We have an inground concrete pool with a filter and a heater in a pool house. PM Pools opened and closed the pool last season.

+ -1 moreOccasionally, we are serviced by people who aren't has knowledgeable as they should be. Occasionally, we have also had problems with some of the mechanicals with the pool. Sometimes when they should be using our pool supplies, they use their own and we are billed for supplies we shouldn't be billed for. I keep an eye on them. I would certainly recommend their pool cleaning service. I would also recommend their mechanical service, if they are sending an experienced technician. They always show up when they are supposed to. One of their employees had a temper tantrum in my backyard, swearing and throwing things around.
Description of Work: They do weekly maintenance on my swimming pool. When they come out they clean the pool and balance the chemicals, as well as perform any mechanical repairs that are needed on the pool. I have used them since 2001.

+ -1 moreThey installed a good filter, but ongoing maintenance of the pool was always more expensive than advertised. They would perform repair work without asking permission. They even showed up for winter maintenance that I did not request. I pre-purchased chemicals to reduce cost, but they did not use them and charged me the weekly rate. They do good work, but their pricing is predatory.
