On Christmas, they came on an emergency basis within the window they provided to unclog a backed up sewer pipe. The following week on New Years day, they came again for the same emergency, also very prompt within the window they provided. They stayed longer this time (Carlos did), literally was reaching into the pipe to pull out roots and mud underneath a bush, and determined ultimately that pipe needed to be replaced. They happened to have the next morning free so they offered to come and replace the pipe that next day. They showed up exactly when they said they would. They replaced the pipe, put back the ground, explained everything to us in detail. They answered all of our questions and came back a second time to pick up some debris and replace a cover. We will still need to see how the ground settles and how they come back in the spring to fix anything that needs cleaning up. Additionally, they had to cut through multiple sprinkler lines to do the work and they put them back together. We will hopefully see that they work in the spring. Overall, they did exactly what they said and put effort into their service and provided good personal customer service. We normally wouldn't have rushed into the job, but we are expecting a child and did not want to have to deal with this one the baby came. We did some research and although it was expensive, it didn't seem like we could have saved much going somewhere else. And we felt like they treated us with respect and cared about their work.

I called Lex the day after Christmas. Our sewer was backing up in the basement sink. He was very friendly and explained all the things it might be and the prices. He came out the same day, early in the afternoon, and was very professional and efficient. My laundry sink was full of muck on the bottom, and he explained if it didn't drain after cleaning out the sewer, he might have to snake the drain too. As it turned out, he didn't have to, and the sink cleared out after running water in it. I was able to see the water flowing like a river in the sewer drain when he was finished. I would definitely call Lex's company if i ever have any draining problems again. I would highly recommend him.

When I called this company, I explained that my garbage disposal wasn't working and I would like to understand what is wrong with it. They offered me a same day "free consultation". When the technician arrived at my home, I spoke to him on the phone since I wasn't present; he said he didn't know why he was there and it was going to cost me $750 to replace the disposal. I asked what was wrong with the disposal that led him to conclude it needed replacing and he said he needed to charge me to "touch it" and diagnose my problem. His tone was indignant and unprofessional so I thanked him for his time, he said "whatever" and hung up (whoa?!). When I called and spoke to the dispatcher, he couldn't seem to understand why I felt that if I explained that I wanted a diagnosis of my problem during the time I scheduled the appointment and was offered a consultation, I expected there to be an informed assessment of the problem. Therefore, I felt falsely advertised to not having had the diagnosis charge disclosed to me ahead of time. There was no need for me to waste my time making people available for an appointment if they were going to just give me the cost of replacing the disposal. How unprofessional and what a waste of time! Terrible.

They were able to send a plumber last minute on a saturday, but the original plumber (Ben) arrived an hour later than he estimated and then did not have the proper equipment had to send a second person (Carlos). Carlos was able to look quickly and determine the problem and get everything sorted in less than an hour.

Great service, but 1 hour later than scheduled time.

Service provider, Rodney, arrived within the hour I was told by the gentleman who took my call said it would take. Introduced himself and got to work, although the repair was minor, for which I am thankful, Rodney mad sure all was corrected before sitting down to take care of the bill. The bathroom was left as he found it, clean and back together. I would not hesitate to recommend your service or use you again in future should the need arise. Thank you.

Previously that same day, we had a "professional" snaking company come out to clear our slow moving tub drain & sink in a small, bathroom on 2nd floor. (We have a 100 yr. old house, btw). They started with the tub first. I was in the basement at the time & all of a sudden, a rush of water was pouring out of the ceiling! They quickly stopped, they had put a hole in the drainpipe! They called their boss, who told them to leave & tell us to get a plumber! What a disaster! Our pipes are not even old, they are PVC! We called A-Absolute & they sent 2 techs. within the hour. They could have done the work the same day but we had them come back the next morning. Fernando, their tech, did the work. He was honest, very knowledgeable, and extremely pleasant. I would recommend this company to anyone.

The tech properly soldered the two pipes that were leaking and did a good job of cleaning up. While the price was high, it was the 4th of July and the tech had clearly stated the price prior to starting. Because this was emergency service, the tech had to drive from North Jersey to Bayville (Ocean County). They normally have local plumbers but it was the 4th of July. While I hope not to need them on an emergency basis again, highly recommend them

Said they would be there between 11 a-noon to give free estimate. Called at 11:15 to say they would be there within hour. Came right within the hour. Quoted $250, said $225 if not too much labor, took $180! And Steven replaced a ring that was leaking. Steven was very friendly, professional and courteous!!! Will definitely call them again(hopefully not too soon)

My bathtub in the first floor is clog. Graham did a great job.He gave me scenarios and prices as well as options to go with it. He didnt leave me until the job was well taken cared of. Definitely I will refer them and use their services again, ask for Graham, he's a real trooper.

They came out same day, they were on time, and there was a price discrepancy, but they were willing to give me the price that they quoted me on phone.

I would recommend A Absolute Construction, Inc. I only used them for air conditioning. Their air conditioning was good. They come whenever I call.

We called this contractor on a Sunday and they responded very quickly, which was great. Corey came out that same day to look at the problem - a gas leak in the basement. He looked at it very quickly and quoted what I thought was too much and then bumped it down to $600. I thought he didn't listen and was a bit too hasty in his assessment but we needed it fixed quickly so agreed for him to come back the next day to fix it. He came back Monday morning and set to work. Next thing I get a call at work that there is water running from the second and first floor down into the basement. His working on the gas pipes had pulled a water pipe loose and now we had a water problem as well. So now a gas leak has also turned into a broken water pipe. He said he would fix the water problem for free. From what we could see, it appeared that this problem was not his fault but was the result of bad work that had been done upstairs previously. But next thing the water problem has turned into another water problem and the line of pipe alongside the gas also needs fixing. A $600 job becomes a $1000 job. Again we thought it was not the plumber's fault and tried to be patient. Some of the pipes in the basement were very old and not in good condition. We could clearly see that the section of water pipe was extra work, not accounted for originally, and so the extra $400 was reasonable. He fixed this and we thought it was all over. We attributed the problems to old pipes. On Wednesday morning I went to the basement and saw a very slow leak on the new joint where he had replaced the water pipe. I also saw a leak in another pipe near where he fixed, again quite a slow leak. We called and they said they would come out and fix the leaks. They never came and never called to explain why. A few days later I went down to the basement again and yet another leak had sprung from the water pipes. So now we have gone from no water problems to 3 leaks, all in new piping. Fed up, we called another plumber, recommended by friend. He fixed all 3 leaks quickly and effectively, for $100. I can understand the water problems happening in the old pipes when the gas was touched, and was willing to attribute it all to the age of the pipes (one of the water pipes was in very bad shape, and we didn't know about it until the gas leak happened - so that was not their fault), but I thought they should have at least come back to fix the leaks in their new work. On their contract this company says they give a one-year guarantee on their work, but they did not live up to that. This is my first experience of using Angie's List and has given me a very bad opinion of it. If this is the sort of company that gets an A rating then I'd hate to see the others.

cThis was my first time working with Absolute and could not be happier. They were very honest offering was to do things less expensive and very knowledgeable. The prices were reasonable. They sent the crew when they promised and got the job done in 2 days. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others

Very knowledgeable person (Matt). Cut open the sheetrock from 1st floor per instruction & found it was just a loose fixture. Also fixed a leaking tap. Cleaned up after everything.

This was our second time using Absolute Plumbing. Our bathroom shower was leaking and hot water pressure was very weak. Absolute Plumbing had an availability. The plumber was very knowledgeable and professional and did a very thorough job of replacing pipe, stopping the leak and adjusting the pressure. Overall experience was excellent. We will use them again for sure.

They had been such extraordinary partners to us. They haven't gotten a dime yet they were kind and prompt and wrote an estimate that was complete when they really didn't have to do any of that. If the insurance company approves it.

I called early in the morning regarding a boiler repair- Within 20 minutes a young gentleman who said his name was Gil showed. That was the fastes ever for a plumber- he was very neatly dressed- no tools no clipboard - - I showed him to the boiler - and within 2 minutes he pronounced my problem as a bad ignition system and replacement would ake 4-5 days and the total cost would run me from $800-1100. I looked at him - because I knew better- He went on to state however- he could have a whole new heating system installed that very day for $11,000.00. I told him- I am the daughter of a super- and I know a little bit about boilers and plumbing and heating system- " You tell my husband what you just told me"- - He looked shocked- and amazingly the price went down for an electronic ignition it became 500- for a new heating system it droppedt no more than 8,000. Amaing the prices a man gets vs a woman. My husband had to leave for work - and I showed "Gil" the door. I called another company (Ryan ) I used A Absolute years back and the work had always been excellent no issues. SOme days later - a different gentleman from Absolute called and I told him and described who came- he said that was not Gil - but he knew who it was- and he was going to have the owner call me. Never heard from the owner - but Gil did call back and left me a message if I had thought about his estimates. I didn't bother to call back.

Absolute was open and available on Sunday. I called and they responded promptly, sending someone over within an hour. The first plumber was aghast at the problem - it's more complex than I care to detail here - but he told us that we would likely have to tear into the sheet rock in the basement (just installed last week!!!) in order to sort it out. He left, and told us that he would need to get someone with more specialized tools to address the issue. We waited for several hours, but the second plumber (Rodney) arrived in the afternoon with a helper - and they were awesome! They did everything possible to try to address the issue without breaking into our walls - and they finally found a way! Rodney really went the extra mile to sort the problem out, and even cleaned up after he was done. They were very honest and very fair. Highly recommended.

He arrived promptly. Since he only had to tighten a screw on our very old toliet so there was no charge. He gave us an estimate to replace it but told us we shouldn't do that & it was a valuable, good toliet. How many times do you have a service person come & not charge you?

Very well. Plumber, Matt, was very professional, worked quickly and cleaned up after himself. Very happy with his recommendation and work. He even adjusted a couple of loose faucets and gave recommendations on maintenance and replacement. We used this contractor last year for the installation of a toilet with the same excellent and prompt service.

A Absolute Plumbing and Construction provides emergency service and they do a professional job. The utility and town inspectors knew the company and the job started and was completed like a well oiled machine. We did not realize the extent of repairs required or the expense involved when we started but after seeing the entire job, we understand why the cost was higher than we expected. This company is professional, the workers are diligent and polite, and they did what they promised under very adverse conditions. I would recommend this company to anyone.

They arrived when they said they would. They were very professional and courteous. They were able to analyze the problem and get the furnace working in 5 minutes. They did explain that the cause of the problem was a part past its prime and that it could be replaced. They said its running ok for now and that we can call back when or if it stops working again. When my wife asked ok what do I owe you, he just said nothing and to have a nice day....the whole thing took maybe 10-20 minutes. I just want to say thank you guys and even thou I don't hope or wish for things to break down LOL but if it does happen, I know who I'm calling LOL!!!! Thanks again guys!!!

It was coldest day in years. I accepted high price only because I stayed home for PSE&G to fix my gas furnace (no heat for the previous 24 hours with 36 degrees in the home). I could not miss another day from work. Pipe in garage burst 1-2 hours after PSE&G left around 5:45 PM. A Absolute was the only 1 available of 3 referrals Angie's List Rep gave me. If it wasn't an emergency I would have called around for a cheaper plumber. This has cause great impact and setback to my finances!!! My issue is with the exorbitant price not the quick response nor the quality of work which I will assume was at least adequate.
