They picked it up, no problem, though I had to work into their schedule. They did a thorough set of diagnostics and then informed me that the carburetor needed to be replaced, among others. Their service was a little on the pricey side, but that's the cost of doing business. Mostly, because of the need for them to pick up the machine. However, they were very professional and easily and freely gave advice on how to prevent future problems, had good attitudes and very outgoing. They came on time to pick it up. I would recommend them.

Avoid service department. Dropped off a 36" commercial lawn mower to get PTO replaced or repaired. A week goes by and I get a phone call saying they can't even start lawn mower, they need to take motor apart to investigate further. Well it started when I dropped it off, I drove it up ramps into the back of my pickup truck, I didn't lift machine it weighs over 400lbs. So 2 weeks go by and I have to call them to get update, they claim just about everything is inside motor and will cost approximately $2,000 to repair(that doesn't include finding out what's wrong with PTO). No thanks, put it back together and I'll fix mower myself. Few days go by and I have voice mail that mower is ready. I go to pick up the next day and I'm greeted with a $130 bill and a mower that's broken more than when i dropped off. Argue for a few minutes with service department on the phone (apparently they fix machines at different location). Reluctantly pay just to get my mower back. When they bring mower around to load into my truck there's a bag of parts hanging off the side, air filter not secured and loose wires hanging out of machine. I get home and I smell gas, there's fuel leaking from the carb area. I will never use this place again, called visa card to dispute charges. Also plan on asking a friend who's a attorney to see if it's worth going to small claims court.

On a saturday in mid -May, I stopped at Power Place and asked them to fix it.
They said they could not pick it up till next thursday.  I said fine.  They picked it up on time.
A week after it was picked up, I had heard nothing. After 2 weeks nothing.  Fnally, after 16 days,
they left a message on my answering machine, saying they had examined it....but I'd have to call
 for details.  I callled the next day, and no one answered.  I left a message  asking them to call 
back and give details if no answer.  NO one called back.  After 4 days, I called and they said the person
that looked at my machine was at lunch.  After some discussion, I got the person who answered to give
details.  He told me it would cost $730 to fix the problem.  I  told him the mower was 9 years old, and I
could get a new one for $1100.  I said it made no sense to spend $730 to fix a 9 year old mower, and they
should  just bring it back.  They said they would bring it back.  2 more weeks went by, and no mower .
I called back and they said I would have to pay $75 for transportation and testing.  I paid the $75 and got
the mower back........6 weeks after they picked it up.
One reason I picked Power Place is that it is in Rockaway....where I live.  It turns out all the repair jobs are
done at another location, probably Mount Olive

I was told the job would take 5-10 business days, at which point someone would call me to pick it up. I dropped it off on 4/10/13. My husband went in to check on it on 5/10 and was told it would be ready in the next day or so and someone would call. No one ever called. Yesterday, 5/24, we called them and found out it was finally ready. When my husband picked it up, it was soaking wet and dirty, as it had apparently been stored outside (it has been raining all week). This was much more hassle than I expected for what was supposed to be an easy job to drain gas and oil. I should have done it myself.

Within two weeks from pickup, the mower was fixed and returned, actually runs better than it did when new (making me wonder if there was an issue with it when it was delivered from Lowe's as new) and cost about $600, HALF of what the other place had quoted. The mower has run beautifully all summer and fall and we are so glad that I spoke with Power Place. I will have them service any lawn mower or power equipment as long as I live in the area.

We took our mower in to Power Place last year for a repair. The guys over at Power were able to successfully repair the mower quickly and the job has lasted all this time. The prices at Power were very reasonable and it took less than a week to fix. The team was able to take the mower out of my car for me and also load it back up once the repair was finished. I would use their services again in the future.
