So happy with the completed job! Scott and his son installed a barn door with a full rain glass panel in our small master bath. We had ordered the door some time ago and was waiting for a contractor who never showed up. We called Scott and he came to look at the job, gave us a fair price for the work, showed up as promised, discussed the process with us, completed the work, did an impeccable clean-up, and left us with a job well done. We live in a community with lots of choices for home construction, carpentry and repair. No question, Lindholm's is now our go to company for work that needs to be done in our home.

A friend ‘had a guy’ whom I hired to fix the main beam underneath my home along with removal and replacement of moldy insulation. Unbeknownst to me, I was left with a huge mess. Scott came to my rescue, fixed ALL of the beams AND gave up a morning of work while I successfully pursued a suit against the ‘guy.’ Scott gave me pictures and updates throughout the entire process. If his integrity was contagious, there would be no “Cape May-be.” Hire them with confidence. Thank you Scott!

From the first contact Scott was respectful attentive and polite. His son Kristian was knowledgeable about the work performed! Love the job they completed at my house. It was timely... gave me updates as they were going along... I will definitely hire them again to do all my future projects! Scott quoted us a price that was reasonable,and, based on his reviews here, we decided to hire him. Scott and his son, Chris arrived right on time and got to work. They widened the doorway, and installed the frame and door. The work was done quickly, and the doorway and frame match the rest of our doors. Scott and Chris were professional at all times, and cleaned up after themselves. I love the new doorway!m

After receiving a very nice voicemail from Scott apologizing for the misunderstanding between us, I think it is only fair that I add this to my review. He did not perform services on my house because of a misunderstanding of when I needed my project completed. My previous review was just my opinion and nothing more. I picked him from Angie's List because of the many reviews of his quality work. Thank you Scott for the message.

We contacted Scott after we found his excellent reviews on Angie's List. This is a new home for us, and we are not familiar with this type of foundation/crawl space, so we were nervous about trusting any contractor. We collected a couple of quotes and decided go with Lindholm's because he took pictures of everything in the crawl space and texted them to me and explained exactly what he would do, keeping the quote/contract limited until he removed the insulation and could see what the needs were. He did not quote a lot of work as he was hesitant about what needed to be done until he removed the existing insulation. (We were not home at the time). He literally crawled under our entire house and texted me pictures and did not "over sell" anything. He said he would remove and cart away the old insulation but he would not be able to assess any further work until that had been done. Upon completion of the work he took more pictures and sent them to me, as again we were not home. When we were finally able to meet I crawled under the house with him and Chris. They were very informative and patient as I had a ton of questions, I have never been under a house before! He said our house was in great shape, the joists did not need repair! We will definitely hire Lindholm's again! Very trust worthy! Excellent work! Very rare you find someone who is honest!! Thank you Lindholm's !!

On time. On budget. Great clean-up. Great communication. Sent photos every day to update me on the progress. Always followed up in a timely fashion.

Let me just say Scott is awesome to work with, started and finished the project right on schedule. Communication was stellar, kept me in the loop the entire way with pictures on the progress of our remodel. Even though it was a small bathroom, the house is 70 years old and had it's own challenges and they worked through them without delay. I will be using their services again for additional work in the Fall, and would highly recommend Lindholm's Carpentry without hesitation!

Scott was a pleasure to work with. He provided several options on windows styles, detailed in his window measurements and was quick to follow-up on any questions I had. His workmanship was impeccable and the windows turned out better than I expected. He was extremely thorough in cleaning-up and hauling away all the debris and nothing was disrupted. I plan on having him back to do additional work.

Over the years we have used several different contractors for our shore house. Always disappointed in quality of work, they never show up as promised and lack of knowledge. We were nervous going into this job but Lindholm (Scott) was a pleasure to work with! He gave an accurate estimate, showed up when he said he would and he and his crew did an incredible job on the decks. I don't often throw my recommendation behind a contractor but this company should be recognized for their skilled craftsmanship and integrity. Job well done!

From the first meeting with Scott he explained everything to my husband and I and we knew he was the man for the job. He gave us a contract and stuck to it. He and his son Kris worked Together and they are both very respectful, honest and hard working. They arrived every morning and worked all day. Excellent work - clean and efficient , got building permits singed off from inspector and the inspector even commented on the quality of the work, Scott had many obstacles to deal with during the project including constant flooding in the crawlspace but overcame them and pushed on to finish on time. . As this was a vacation home and I was there only on weekends He Kept me up to date with daily photos and updates. Overall an excellent experience

They gave me a written quote, the price only changed when I up-graded the sliding door. They were prompt every morning and kept a clean work site. My daughter used them to enclose her garage and I was so pleased with the work he did for her, I hired him for my deck.

I am profoundly happy with having met and worked with Scott Lindholm and his son Kris (Lindholm’s Carpentry & Home Repair, LLC), Mr. Lindholm was timely in every sense of the word from our first meeting until our last. He explained the entire process of the home repairs that I needed; specifically what he was going to do for me; the permits process; the costs of every aspect of the work from getting permits to the estimated/final costs of the repairs; and he did not once deviate from any of the contracted costs. Mr. Lindholm, his son Kris, and their crew arrived on site at my home timely every day that the weather allowed them to work, and they worked the entire day until late to honor their commitment to getting the work done timely. Mr. Lindholm performed work in a very tight and low crawlspace under my home, and having gone under my home numerous times myself, I can tell you that the work done by Mr. Lindholm, his son, and crew exceeded my expectations. The before and after was astonishing and my home passed Township inspection with no issues. Without a doubt, I highly recommend Lindholm’s Carpentry & Home Repair, LLC, and I would do business again with that company if ever I find need of Mr. Lindholm’s outstanding services.

He was considerate of my time and his communication was superb. He kept me well informed of his progress - even to the point of texting me pictures along the way while I was at work so I could see how the job was progressing. The job was done in a timely manner and they cleaned up after themselves daily when they were done for the day. . Lindholm’s is now my Go-To company for any work I need in the future ! These guys are the best. I have never worked with a contractor that has been so responsive and provides excellent work. I work in the service industry and fully understand the customer experience and Scott and his team deliver on it. I did my research and saw all of the wonderful reviews for their business and now I can say that everyone was right. Now, they have a dedicated customer and a friend. I would highly recommend them to anyone for their home renovations and repairs.

We had water damage in our family room from our leaky roof. We had the roof replaced and hired Scott to replace the damaged drywall in our family room. After I called, he came over that afternoon and checked out the damage. He called that evening with a quote (which I thought was reasonable) and started the job the following week. He and his son were prompt, courteous and very professional. My husband and I thought they did quality work at a fair price. We will certainly keep them in mind if we have any other work that needs to be done.

In the Winter of 2011, I bought my dream vacation home in Cape May, NJ. It belonged to an elderly woman who neglected the property for a long time. Therefore, I was able to get a good deal on it. That's where the bargaining should have ended. The house needed a total renovation and I went with the lowest bidder. Huge mistake. Within a few months of completion, I had warped floors, mold in the finished attic and entrance doors that would not open freely. Despite getting all the necessary building permits and inspections, I was taken for a fool. My original contractor would not return my calls and I had no recourse. I was referred to Scott Lindholm by a hard to please crotchety neighbor who insisted Scott was the go to man. I called Scott and he showed up for a site visit on time ! He evaluated my entire home and gave me a punch list of all necessary repairs and remedies that needed to be done. Within a day, he itemized the estimated costs and gave me a proposed start and end date. Due to the extensive nature of the repairs, I called in three other companies. One showed up three hours late without an excuse. The other two were an hour late each and did not assess my home as thoroughly as did Scott and missed the obvious sinking pilings in the crawl space causing my floors to sink. They both offered a Band Aid job without getting to the root of the cause. Scott works with his son Kris and they are a great team. Kris is obviously taking after his dad as he is always challenging himself to be a perfectionist. Scott and Kris eventually repaired my outdoor Trex deck and shower enclosure that was shoddily built, replaced and leveled the pilings in my crawlspace, cleaned out the crawlspace and installed a vapor barrier and mold retardant, re flashed my front and back doors and installed storm doors and finally replaced my entire floor in the house and installed wood look tile throughout. He and Kris took pictures every step of the way and texted them to me. Watching the progress from my desk at work was so cool. They arrived on time every day and cleaned up at the end of each day. When the job was done, the place was left as if they were never there. They created a house that's the envy of the neighborhood. I will recommend them to anybody no matter how big or small the job. You will not find anyone more honest and reliable as they are. I am foolishly hoping to find another project for them as they are a pleasure to work with. I have built two homes and restored another home and I have never experienced true gentlemen as Scott and Kris. Take my advice and call them for your next project.

Scott is an outstanding contractor. When initially contacted his response was prompt; his communication remained excellent throughout the project. He was reliable, respectful, and kept a clean worksite. His attention to detail was amazing; therefore, the final fit and finish of each project was impeccable. Without any reservation I would recommend him and plan to use him again.

We have owned five houses over the years and used contractors in every one. We only wish that we could have used Linholm LLC in every one. Scott and his son Kris were the ultimate professionals from the first design discussion to the final inspection walk through. We selected Scott Lindholm out of several contractors because of several factors including cost, quality of work and references, customer service and his knowledge of local building codes and personnel. Scott's passion and commitment for doing quality work was evident from our first design meeting with him and he and his son delivered on that commitment. We don't believe that we have EVER had a contractor be as punctual as Scott and Kris. If they said they'd be at your house by 8am, you could set your clock by it. Their approach to customer service and communication was the best we have ever experienced. Not only did Scott give us daily updates, but we got several pictures each day detailing their progress. Scott's commitment to helping us informed us about our projects status went well beyond the call of duty. Scott was extremely flexible with us regarding design changes to our 3 season room and he offered his advice and guidance to ensure we got the best quality at the most suitable cost. We incorporated several of his suggestions into our final design. Scott and Kris couldn't have been more respectful regarding our privacy during the project. At the end of each day they cleaned up the yard so that our family could use the yard. All of their interactions with us and our family were very courteous and pleasant. He treated us like family and offered to help us in ways we never expected. For example, he helped us find a home for our Sunsetter awning that was over our original deck, which saved us from listing it on EBay or Craig's list. But at the end of the day, it always comes down to quality of working and both Scott and Kris knew only one way to do the work....the right way. One day Scott and Kris had completed some work around the door area in our addition. The next morning when Scott came back to their work, he wasn't satisfied and showed me why. To be honest, I would have never have noticed that particular item wasn't perfect, but he shared that it wasn't and he and Kris re-worked it to make sure it was right. I grew up in a German family of carpenters and builders and it reminded me of how my father and uncles treated their work. They took a lot of pride in the quality of their work and they wouldn't settle for second best. If they were going to do a job, they were going to do it right! Scott and Kris have the same commitment with their work. In summary, if we ever need any additional work on our shore house, it will be done by Scott and Kris. They have earned our trust because they always did what they said they would do and they treated us liked they cared about our outcome. We strongly recommend that you consider them for any work that you need on your home.

Scott was professional from start to finish. He showed up exactly when he said to measure and review. He researched and came back with prices. Due to weather install was delayed but Scott kept in touch daily with updates. He had complications with his supply providing wrong storm door, but managed to get all resolved and installed the next day. I am already in contact to give him another job!

Scott was excellent!! He was punctual, professional, & very personable! He did everything he said and beyond. From not being from this area, I heard horror stories about Carpenters. This is quite the opposite. Scott and his son Chris were great to work with and I will be calling him again for some future projects that I have. My wife and I are extremely happy with the finished products!! I look forward to working with Scott again.
