Have dealt with Metro/HOP for over 30 years! Always call the day before oil delivery, prompt when coming to clean /service the furnace! When I had the old furnace would always come as soon as possible to fix! Courteous staff in the office and in the field! Never had a problem with them!

It went well. Luna was very well-informed, very helpful, very nice to speak to, and helped me get this bill paid right away. No problems whatsoever! (Except for the very high cost of heating oil!)

Horrible..they missed to deliver oil and following day had no heat ,, called the answering services at 2am, following day got the oil but no tech to start up the boiler again. When we called to complain they said that the day they missed us, they were in front of our house and no one was home .. that is not true we were home all day. Then they told us there is a 12 hour window for tech to get to my home.. we called to follow up and the person on the phone could not give us an estimated time.. it was close to midnight ,’I was alone waiting for tech , then I called the dispatcher and they told me that the tech was in front of my door at 1130 pm. and no one answer the door, I told them that could not be true , I was by the porch, also I have 4 dogs, if the wind hits the door they will bark. Spoke to manager said that they will have someone in the morning , no one came,, then he called few hours later and said that someone will be here betweenn3-6. I made him aware of all the nonsense and lies that his company told us in the past 3 days,, the manager was not helpful , and did not attempt to prioritize us , despite the fact that we were lied to. This company has a trend of lying. After this winter, I’m done with them.

Our vehicles are all equipped with a GPS tracking system. I can confirm that a Technician was at the home on the evening of 01/15/18. The Technician called while in transit to the home and again when in front of the home. There was no answer and the call was rescheduled for the following day. I ensured the customer that I would personally complete the job if necessary. The Technician called while in transit and I called as well to advise that a Technician would arrive shortly. A Technician arrived at 4:40PM and the job was complete by 5:30PM. I followed up with a phone call to the customers husband at 5:40PM; he was very grateful that the issue was resolved.

Will not use again.
Description of Work: Metro Energy does not call customers back. I was to receive an oil delivery on January 2nd and if delivered, the driver did not leave the invoice. I have called and spoken to two customer service reps and still have not received a copy of the invoice; AND the rep said my payment is due in 25 days; how am I to pay if they will not provide me a copy of the invoice along with proof of delivery? I requested a manager contact me and that has not happened. Also, prior to setting up this delivery appointment I received a voicemail from a gentleman calling from 610-692-3366 (a subsidiary of HOP which also owns Metro) asking if Metro could schedule a delivery and how tedious it was that he had to call me rather than my account being on automatic delivery. After this winter I will be finding another oil company.

It was a pleasure speaking with you regarding your review. Per your request, we will call you before making any deliveries, as we have done in the past. We apologize for any inconvenience we might have caused you, as that is never our intention. Our forecasting system indicated that you would soon need a delivery. In preparation for record low temperatures, we attempted to schedule deliveries in advance. I understand that you requested a delivery for 200 gallons and instead, we delivered 278.7 gallons. Please know that due to this error, I have adjusted the excess 78.7 gallons with a delivery concession, which was applied to your account. We appreciate your feedback, as it will assist us in being better at what we do.

I've had them for a long time. I don't know if there's anybody better. Actually, what they are is my oil company and I have a contract with them that they come and they service it and they clean it. If I have a problem with it, then they come. They're real good, they've been prompt as far as making sure that I have heat and hot water. The two gentlemen that had been coming and servicing my oil burner when I need them - these two gentlemen in particular have been very efficient. They don't have to come back a second time. Before them, I had a gentleman - I guess he was close by - well he lived in the next town. He worked for this oil company but he was like a neighbor. I didn't know him personally, but he would come and fix what had to be done and he was gone. He would be coming I guess and stop off at my place so he would know what had to be done in the morning before he went to work or on his way to work, and on his way home I would be the last on his list, possibly, because he was heading home. The two gentlemen that are coming now are with the same company. They are very efficient. They do their job and there's no call-back or anything like that. They're done and it's working. So I don't know how many repair people they have that are that efficient. Water got into the oil tank, but these two gentlemen they knew what was wrong and they made sure that they called the right people to take care of the problem. It's an underground oil tank and I guess with the Spring thaw or whatever, somehow water or condensation got into it and I had a problem with the heat. But they knew what was wrong; these two gentlemen, they knew right away what was wrong and they made sure that the right person was gonna come and take this water out. They also knew exactly what to do, so everybody was very happy about the whole thing. They're very good; I'd give them an A. I have a contract and I didn't get charged. I really haven't done any comparing [with price]. I've been with this company as long as I'm in this house, and that's about forty years. I think they're fair and I just haven't shopped around for another company. I've been with them like I say, for forty years or so. I think they're very good. On responsiveness, excellent.

I had an ancient boiler that was on its last legs, as well as being inefficient and unreliable. A sales rep for Metro, my heating oil supplier, offered me a new boiler, with permits and installation, on a 2-year interest-free payment plan. The removal of the old boiler was extremely messy, but they cleaned up as well as was possible. Everything was completed in one day, so I was not without heat for longer than a day. The only difficulty was with the permit process -- the permits were applied for, but no one paid for them or picked them up from the town when the work was done. Months later the town notified me that they were still pending. It took several calls to Metro to get the matter resolved, but they did take care of it. I got a message from one of the vendors indicating they had taken care of the permits, and I needed to schedule an inspection with the town. I felt Metro's project management should have been more conscientious about this aspect of the work, but ultimately everything was worked out and I am very happy with my boiler.

WE HAVE USED THIS COMPANY FOR A LONG TIME. WE HAVE A SERVICE CONTRACT WITH THEM. THEY ARE CLEAN AND THE CONTRACT IS CHEAP. THEY ARE VERY RESPONSIVE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.

I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY FOR 30 YEARS AND I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH THEM. THERE ARE NEW PEOPLE WORKING FOR THEM NOW, BUT I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS SO FAR.
