The Maids of Ocean and Monmouth Counties

We've been using them since we moved in here. It's interesting with them. We used to use like a local cleaner, like a one off person, like a small business owner. We moved to the new house and they wanted to charge us like triple what The Maids charge us. So we wound up calling The Maids and they've been fantastic. I'd give them an A. They come and come on time. They clean the house. There have been a couple of times like we have higher iron in our water so one of the reasons we hire them was I hate cleaning the toilets cause you have to like scrub them. It's not like a quick little swish around. Immediately they said, 'Do you want us to send somebody back over?' And I said, 'No I want it noted for the next time' and I never had a problem since. And any time like that, like we have a lot of moldings. We have a lot of...like it's a pain to clean the house and it's flawless every time. I come in, it's smells good and it's clean. They show up. I haven't had any damage done to the house. We had Brazilian house cleaners before and there was always something breaking. There was always something getting bleach on it, none of that. They come every other week so it's just last Tuesday that they came. It's $175 every other week. They get an A overall. The cost is expensive. The thing that I like is, they're insured. They're bonded. I don't have to worry about what happens if they fall down my stairs. The other thing too that I appreciate is, I don't have to worry about the fact that I'm not paying taxes or that somebody's not claiming taxes like it's not under the table. There's no cash exchanging hands. That part for me took a lot of stress away for me. If one of their cleaner's gets sick, they still show up. They have a team, so they can deal with it. Like when you have the one lady, if she's sick, it's a problem because they don't show up. It's just consistent. We've been using them now for several years.

They've been slowly increasing. So like...that part annoys me...they'd be like a $2 increase. It's like, 'Are you kidding me'. Can you just like wait and do it at a period of time. It drives me nuts.

Their first visit they did a deep clean which was amazing. Subsequent weekly cleaning have been very thorough. Since they send a team, it's done in a very timely fashion, which works well for our busy household where every one works different hours. The always let me know ahead of time when they will be there and always do follow up,calls to see how,the clean went.

It did not go well. The crew was here for 6 hours. The cleaner who did the kitchen claimed she did not have the proper cleaning supplies to clean the kitchen. She spent all 6 hours in the kitchen, and as they were leaving, I took a paper towel and wiped the counter, and it had black dirt on it. The carpet cleaner was a witness to this, when I complained, the office manager told me that the carpet cleaner told her there wasn't too much dirt on the paper towel. After six hours of cleaning one room, I would expect there be NO dirt on the kitchen counter. They also vaccumed the stairs, and you could still see dog hair from the prior owners. There was also dust on the window sills, the bathrooms were not throughly cleaned. Very disappointing. We were so excited to have a freshly cleaned house to move our stuff into.

I have been a long time client of The Maids. The office staff is continually changing which I have tolerated but is frustrating. They clean homes in teams (about 3-4 members). I continually request the same team but that doesn't always happen. I rarely call to complain about re-cleaning, but have more frequently as of late. The inconsistency with the cleans has been a constant occurrence during the past several months. The office staff is beyond rude and unprofessional and owner won't return phone calls - you have to deal with an office manager who will no doubt be gone in a few months. Because they can no longer maintain my cleaning standards - they have removed me from their client list. I was appalled that a professional cleaning service said they can no longer meet the cleaning standards such as cleaning countertops, toilets, and ALL areas of floors. I am happily searching for another cleaning service as we speak and will refer my entire network to another cleaning company when I'm asked....which is often. Don't waste your time with unprofessionalism and rude office staff. Find a cleaning service that wants your service and appreciates the value of customer service. And is also consistent.

Provided very inconsistent home cleaning. The staff continually changed leading to inconsistent results. On a weekly basis cut corners leaving bathrooms, rooms and hardwood floors improperly cleaned. I would not recommend to anyone....

These ladies are great! They do an awesome job and are very fast!

UPDATE - DECEMBER 2012 - I NEED TO UPDATE THAT THE MAIDS STOLE MY KIDS I-PODS AND MY HUSBAND'S ENGAGEMENT RING. THEY ALSO LEFT MY DOOR OPEN - NOT UNLOCKED- OPENED- ALL DAY!!!!! WHEN I ASKED FOR MY KEY TO BE RETURNED VIA MAIL - THEY HAVE YET TO GIVE IT BACK. THE MANAGEMENT OF THIS COMPANY IS VERY NICE, SO IT IS WITH A HEAVY HEART I HAVE TO WRITE THIS REVIEW. I NEEDED TO BE SURE THE ITEMS WERE MISSING AND THEY ARE FOR SURE GONE. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE TO GET STOLEN FROM. I contacted the maids to perform cleaning on my Townhouse. The office managers are very friendly and professional. The first cleaning is more expensive as the team needs to keep up with what you haven't like neglected blinds or ceiling fans. I have had two different crews come to my house and both peformed a great job. I do find them to pricey, but guess they have to be to have a team of 5-6 people cleaning. I use them every two weeks. I especially like the flexibility to call for a one-time clean off my schedule if I am having guests on my off cleaning week.

I haven't used The Maids in many years, but when I did I was quite satisfied with their work. They provide a list of what they will do and how they will do it (e.g. not cleaning inside a display case unless directed to do so), so you know what to expect and what you have to ask them to do. I used their service for over a year and they consistently performed well and usually within an hour or an hour and 15. I would also receive a call following their cleaning to confirm that they had done a satisfactory job.Once, I found a couple of towels that looked bleach stained. The owner offered to replace them, but then I discovered it had been my husband who had damaged them! But I think it was quite professional that even though they were sure they had not been responsible, they were willing to take the blame.I only stopped using them because my financial situtation changed; otherwise, I'd still be a customer.

I have used them before and what I like is that they come with a team of four people and they are in and out in about two hours. So I don't have someone here all day. They specialize so each person deals with the different areas of my house. They are very focused; they are good that way. We have had a few minor scheduling glitches but overall I am pleased with them. I think their pricing is fair for this area and I will use them again in the future.

Their price is on the high side and 4 people came out. They do a good job and were finished between an hour and 15 minutes to an hour and a half. They are licensed and bonded. The workers are very agreeable people and they seem to work very hard while they are here. I know that unfortunately they don't get most of that money. It goes to the company, but I guess because they are licensed and bonded they have to pay like that. So far I've been very satisfied. I would use them again in the future.
